Optimystix is producing MAX Fully Deewana Contest, Kiku and Krushna not quitting their shows

The media in the frenzy to dish out exclusive news at a rapid pace often tends to miss out on pivotal information.

Something similar happened when many publications reported that comedian-actor Krushna Abhishek is launching his own comic show on Set Max, where conceptually he will tread the path of popular show on Colors, Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Nights with Kapil.

The reports also mentioned (which apparently stemmed from agency reporting), that Kiku Sharda, currently seen in Comedy Nights, will in most probability quit the Colors show and join hands with Krushna.

Well, we are here to mention that yes, Krushna and Kiku will be seen together in their funny avatars at a show on Set Max titled, ‘MAX Fully Deewana Contest’, but the project is not being produced by Krushna and Kiku is certainly not quitting Comedy Nights with Kapil. Furthermore, Krushna will continue his association with Comedy Circus (Sony TV), contrary to reports of him moving out of the show.

Here’s the real dope.

The show will be produced by Optimystix Productions and will air from 9 February to 22 February at 9pm. 

The venture will basically be a contest which will be aired during the 9pm movie breaks. Kiku and Krushna will take turns and appear during the breaks to interact with the viewers via funny gags.

For more clarity and confirmation on the story, we buzzed Krushna but he kept busy. However, his better half and live-in partner Kashmira Shah shared, “Well, Krushna is a part of the show but it is not his own show. Krushna is very much a part of Comedy Circus (also produced by optimystix)and he will never quit this Sony product. It is his landmark show. He doesn’t have to follow people. Other than being a good comedian, Krushna is also a very talented actor. He is not in the rat race and is happy being a part of Comedy Circus. He is very loyal to the show and will always remain so.”

Point taken.

Next we buzzed Kiku, who also went on to state, “Yes, it is Optimystix who is coming with the show on Set Max. They will run a small contest between the movies where Krushna and I will play different types of gags and ask questions to viewers. The show’s span is a small one and it is more of a way to market your product. But strangely people have misunderstood the development and wrote about me quitting Comedy Nights with Kapil. Kapil called me in the morning asking me about it. I just laughed out loud and told him to chill. I love Kapil Sharma and his show.”

We smsed producer Vipul D Shah (Optimystix) to get a confirmation but he did not revert till the time of filing the story. However, a channel source did corroborate that the show has been commissioned to Optimystix.

Sahara One's Jai Jai Jai Bajrangbali

Rukmani Paudel to enter Jai Jai Jai Bajrangbali

 

Nepali film actress Rukmani (Usha) Paudel also seen in Sahara One’s Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna will now enter Jai Jai Jai Bajrangbali (airing on the same channel).

Usha will be seen as Sukanya, a Vishkanya (serpent), who would be in love with Hanuman’s father Kesari.
It will be shown that Sukanya was in love with Kesari 20 years ago and since, this was a one sided love story he went on to marry Anjana.

However, now she will try and do all that she can to get Kesari back in her life.

When contacted Rukmani she confirmed the same and said, “Yes, I have started shooting for the show and my track will air sometime soon.”

Produced by Beyond Dreams Entertainment, it has been one of the most successful shows on Channel V.

The leads, new comers Harshita Gaur and Param Singh, became overnight stars as Sanyukta and Randhir!

Touching upon a contemporary topic of a woman fighting for her rights in a man’s world. Set in the backdrop of a mechanical engineering college, Sadda Haq became a rage from the time it hit screens.
When we called up Param he thanked us and shared, “Today we are not shooting, so just chilling out. We have all planned to party tonight. Looking forward to having a great time with my Sadda Haq family.”

Producer Yash Patnaik, on the other hand shared, “Sadda Haq has been our most experimental show, and an eye opener in many ways. Since we did not have any baggage, we went all out with our conviction. 
Thankfully, we also got the outmost support from the channel. I think Sadda Haq has really worked wonders for the whole team.”

Talking about what made the series work, he further shared, “I think since everything on the show is very real, it added to the value. For the first time we got writers who had nothing to do with TV, and they spelled a different magic on TV screens. We do not have a costume designer as we get the actors clothes off store racks. Only basic make up is utilised and we shoot in natural lights. The set has not been designed, rather all the props have been handpicked by me and my team. I think people believed in our belief and that has been our success mantra.”

Krrip Kapur Suri back on Channel V's Sadda Haq

Time to be jolly all Krrip Kapur Suri fans!!!

After a wait of almost two months, the character of Professor Vardhan will be back on Channel V’s popular show Sadda Haq: My Life My Choice (Beyond Dreams Entertainment).

Krrip, who managed to create a rage among youth with his character, was missing from the scene as the protagonist Sanyukta (Harshita Gaur) and Randhir (Param Singh) had been trying to get a foothold of their life and career independently.

But now the duo will shift back to FITE to continue their journey towards achieving their dreams of becoming successful engineers. And thus Krrip will also be seen making a comeback as their mentor in the show.

Krrip, who is already enacting the role of Emperor Akbar in Maharana Pratap, confirmed the development.

'Rustication' drama in Sadda Haq's maha episode

Channel V’s Sadda Haq – My Life My Choice (Beyond Dreams Productions) will witness huge drama this weekend, Sunday (21 September) when Professor Vardhan (Kripp Suri) will get out of FITE, after he would get majorly disappointed with Randhir (Param Singh) and Sanyukta (Harshita Gaur).

As per the storyline, Vardhan has been having repeated frictions with Randhir and Sanyukta and the gap
between them will further widen in the coming episodes.

Yes, you heard it right!! This time, the man will get so frustrated that he will decide to get out of FITE. With
Vardhan getting out of FITE, the college authorities would decide to rusticate both Randhir and Sanyukta from college. However, the twist here will be that the college would leave open one small door of hope for both of them, wherein the college would decide to take back one of them, if they would complete a given task properly.

And this will only mean that Randhir and Sanyukta will have to fight against each other for that one spot that will take them inside FITE again!!

Who will get back to FITE – Randhir or Sanyukta? Will the students be able to persuade and get Vardhan back to college?

Beyond Dreams' Sadda Haq becomes the #1 show on Channel [V] in quick time

 

Sadda Haq – My Life My Choice, produced by Yash Patnaik’s Beyond Dreams Production on Channel [V], has a unique concept wherein amidst the male-dominated engineering college comes a girl Sanyukta (Harshit Gaur) to fulfill her dreams of becoming a Mechanical Engineer. The show is just over 30 episodes old, but has already managed to find a place in every youngster’s heart.

Even before completing its first landmark of 50 episodes, the show finds itself to be the #1 show on the youth-based channel, Channel [V]. As per the TAM Ratings released for Week 3, Sadda Haq has seen a huge jump in terms of ratings. The show which had 184 TVTs (at the end of Week 2 of 2014) has climbed up to 285 TVTs by the end of Week 3. The second place on Channel [V] goes to Dil Dostii Dance with a TVT of 226 followed by The Buddy Project at third place with 63 TVTs.

Talking about this phenomenal achievement, Producer Yash Patnaik told Tellychakkar.com, “It was a big challenge for us in Beyond Dreams to enter this new space of ‘youth’ as we have been dealing with only drama and thrillers. When we were asked by Channel [V] to give them a concept, we did not go in for a frothy good-looking romance show on friends or deal with love, friendship and betrayal. We chose a very different route which had all the drama and thrill element with well-defined strong motives to all our characters. Channel [V] has been very proactive and constructive in its support. The way in which Mamta (Patnaik) has led the team towards the vision had has been really good. The best part about Sadda Haq is that all the characters are vibrant and have their own back stories which will open up soon. And every back story will trigger the story forward, is what I can promise.”

He went on to say, “Also, we have spent a lot of time, money and energy on detailing. Since our backdrop happens to be an engineering college, all that you see on the blackboard in college is actually the real technical jargon. This boost in ratings where we have doubled up by 50 percent in just a week’s time motivates us to look for a great time in terms of storytelling. We have quite a lot of interesting tracks lined up for the coming weeks. Firstly, we will be opening up the back story of Randhir (Param Singh) with his father and mother. In the next few weeks, viewers will see the first major highpoints coming their way.”

Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee set to participate in Colors’ Khatron Ke Khiladi season 5

Colors’ high on adrenaline show Fear Factor- Khatron Ke Khiladi 5 is all set to roll out in the coming days.
Most of the contestants are already on their way to scenic South Africa where the show will be shot.

Now media reported that Nach Baliye season 6 runners up jodi, Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee are also a part of the show. However, they did not turn up at the show’s press launch, sparking speculations that they are not a part of the project.

But now our confirmed sources have said that Gurmeet and Debina have been brought on board by the makers of the reality show (Endemol India), and they will fly off to South Africa today.

We tried reaching Gurmeet-Debina but they remained out of reach.

One of the channel’s spokespersons chose not to shed more light on the development.

But as of now, it seems that fans of Gurbina will yet again watch their favourite jodi battling it out on small screen.

Injured Mahhi Vij out of Colors' Khatron Ke Khiladi; may join the show as wildcard contestant

Tellychakkar.com had recently reported about the beautiful and charming Mahhi Vij fracturing her leg and not being able to attend the press launch of Colors’ Khatron Ke Khiladi season 5 (Endemol). The actress who was going to be a part of the show had injured her leg just days before the event which restricted her to be on the stage and interact with the media.

And now we bring you another exclusive piece of news that the lovely lady will sadly not be able to take part in the series because of her injuries. Mahhi, who is best known for her breakthrough role in Lagi Tujhse Lagan, has been on the wheelchair and along with her leg injury, is now bedridden with high fever for the past couple of days.

Informs a close friend of Mahhi, “She was all eager to take this thrilling challenge and has been talking how excited she is about performing all the stunts but sadly it seems like it was jinxed that she hurt herself so badly just days before she was to fly off. And now with her fever, she has not been able to step out of the bed.”

But all Mahhi fans need not deter, as the strong lady does not want to give up so easily. The pretty actor is in for proper medication and is trying her best to get perfectly okay so that she can at least enter the show as a wildcard contestant later in the show.

The friend adds, “Since being a wildcard will be the only option for Mahhi to get on the show, she is on a strong medication dose to be fine and join the team a week later. We are all hoping that she doesn’t miss this chance.”

We tried reaching out to Mahhi but she remained unavailable.

Wish Mahhi a speedy recovery and hope to see her jump and hop in proper health soon.

Fear Factor: The final list of contestants

It’s finally decided.

The list of contestants on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi has been made up.

The actors heading for Fear Factor this season (to be shot in exotic Argentina) are Ranvir Shorey, Nikitin Dheer, Mugdha Godse, Dayanand Shetty, Rajniesh Duggal, Rochelle Maria Rao, Gauahar Khan, Kushal Tandon, Pooja Gor, Mahhi Vij, Salman Yusuff Khan and Geeta Tandon.

It’s an interesting mix of film and television actors. With Rohit Shetty to host this season’s bahaduri and badmaashiyan, it should be fun to watch.

The show will go on air in the coming months on Colors and is being produced by Endemol.

Contrary to reports, Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee are not a part of the show.

Salman Yusuff Khan roped in for Khatron Ke Khiladi

Earlier in the day we wrote about Ragini Khanna being approached to be a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi season 5 on Colors (Endemol India).

And the latest we have learnt from a credible source is that actor-choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan has been signed by the makers to be a part of the above show.

“Yes, he has signed the contract and he will be flying off to Argentina soon, where the show will be shot,” said a source.

We buzzed Salman for a confirmation but he did not revert. Salman won the last season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa along with Drashti Dhami.

Actors who have already been roped in for the project are Ek Hazaaron… fame Kushal Tandon and his lady love Gauahar Khan (Bigg Boss 7 winner), Mugdha Godse (Fashion) and Nikitin Dheer (Chennai Express).

Others who have been approached but yet to give a nod are Gurmeet Choudhary, Mahhi Vij and Kratika Sengar.

The fifth season of the show, that will be hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty, is likely to go on air by March or April, added the source.

Yesterday we reported that Colors has approached Bigg Boss Season 7 contestant Ajaz Khan to feature in season 5 of Khatron Ke Khiladi (Endemol India). The show will air in the same above channel.
And today we get you the news that the makers have also approached Ragini Khanna for the same venture, as per sources.

We tried calling Ragini for a confirmation but she remained unavailable for comment.

Papiya Sengupta to enter Sony TV's Main Naa Bhoolungi

Dreams Entertainment and Dancing Water Productions’ Main Naa Bhoolungi on Sony Entertainment Television.

We now have the news of talented actress Papiya Sengupta playing a pivotal role in the track ahead.

While Anang Desai will play the role of the businessman Mahanto, Papiya will essay the role of his second wife, in the new family to enter the show. Nigaar who will play the role of Madhurima will hate her step-mother to the core. However, Papiya’s character will be that of a pleasing and understanding wife and mother.

Papiya’s character will have two kids of her own, one grown-up son and a daughter who will be cast soon.
Shikha (Aishwarya Sakhuja) will eventually fathom the entire malicious game of her husband Sameer (Vikas Manaktala). Sameer, who is originally called Aditya Jagannath, will happen to be the ‘ghar jamaai’ in the family of Mahanto, and husband to Madhurima. The entire drama of getting married to Shikha, only to send her to the claws of death would have been planned by Aditya, in order to get a heir through Shikha.

When contacted, Papiya told us, “Yes, I have been roped in to play an important role in Main Naa Bhoolungi. I will be starting shoot from tomorrow. So I will not be able to give you any brief on what I play.”

With its gripping storyline and exciting sequences, the interesting plot of Sony Entertainment Television’s Main Na Bhoolungi (Beyond Dreams Productions) is keeping its viewers on the edge.

After Sameer’s shocking attempt to murder his wife Shikha (Aishwarya Sakhuja), the lady has finally come to her senses after fighting a tough battle with life. And now her only concern is her little son Manav, who is in the custody of her husband.

Shikha, who is taking the help of a police team, will soon get to meet her parents. After a teary encounter, Shikha and her parents will decide to go home and think of how to get back on Sameer. But they will not know that there is another shock waiting for them when they reach home.

Well, it will be none other than the stalker who gave Shikha sleepless nights.

The stalker (Avinesh Rekhi) was actually hired by Sameer to ward off suspicion from him who in reality was actually troubling Shikha. And when Sameer tried to kill him too the man had decided to teach Sameer a lesson.

Here comes an exclusive piece of news!! The vivacious and sexy Nigaar Khan is back to the limelight with yet another interesting role!!

After celebrating the success of her sister Gauahar Khan’s victory in Colors’ recent edition of Bigg Boss, the actor known for her vampish roles will now be seen in Yash Patnaik’s suspense thriller Main Naa Bhoolungi on Sony Entertainment Television.

A reliable channel source tells us that Nigaar will come in to play the main negative lead in the show. Her character Madhurima will be a sophisticated lady who is cruel in her ways to getting victorious.
If sources are to be believed, she might be connected to the mystery element in the show.

It is now to be seen how this mysterious character of Madhurima will get linked to the lives of the main protagonists Sameer (Vikas Manaktala) and Shikha (Aishwarya Sakhuja).
Main Naa Bhoolungi is being jointly produced by Beyond Dreams and Dancing Water Productions. Nigaar is also going to be a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (SAB TV), as reported in the media.

The thrilling drama Main Naa Bhoolungi (Beyond Dreams Productions) on Sony Entertainment Television has been impressing viewers with some really fast paced story telling.

On one hand the mysterious nature of Sameer (Vikas Manaktala) has been keeping the viewers on the edge of their seat and on the other, his romantic scenes with Shikha (Aishwarya Sakhuja) has been lending a refreshing touch to the plot.

Yesterday we reported about Shikha coming across Sameer’s real identity in a watch shop which will shock her. But love will over power the sense of doubt and viewers will get to see some really romantic scenes in the upcoming episodes.

Informs a source, “Sameer is a smart guy and does every bit to keep Shikha happy and keep her in his side.”
And now with both of them having moved to Mumbai, the couple will get gripped by passion and consummate their marriage. The physical affinity will not only make Shikha believe in Sameer more, but she will also put more efforts to make the marriage work.

But as viewers already know, Sameer has some ulterior motives and is out to kill Shikha.

Sony TV's Ekk Nayi Pehchaan

Team Ekk Nayi Pehchaan wraps up shoot

It’s the day of goodbyes. After reporting about shows like Ek Boond Ishq (Life OK) and Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai (SAB TV) going off air, it’s time to say a final good bye to Sony Entertainment Television’s serial Ekk Nayi Pehchaan (Jay and Kinnari Mehta Productions).

The show will air its last episode on 25 September and today was the last day of shoot. With a happy ending planned, the entire cast will be seen getting together and performing a dance sequence as a parting treat for its fans.

Ekk Nayi Pehchaan created buzz for it brought back Bollywood actor Poonam Dhillon to TV. Actors like Sooraj Thappar, Krystle Dsouza, and Karan Sharma among others were part of the cast. Soon another Bollywood diva Padmini Kolhapure made her small screen debut with this show in a cameo role.

Talking on the same, lead actor Karan said, “This was my first show as a lead and I am really thankful to the channel and production house for letting me play this role. The character and the show have taught me so much, not just professionally but also personally.”

His onscreen father Sooraj added, “The character was a negative one and that gave me a chance to let out all my frustrations and hence post this show I have become so pure and positive (laughs). But on a serious note this was a great serial and the team really bonded well. As an actor, a show’s end is surely a setback but I try to put in all my efforts to do justice to my character and will do so in the future too.”

Producer of the show Jay Mehta averred, “It has been a satisfying journey overall. We wanted to give out some positive messages and thankfully we achieved that. Firstly, not all saas-bahus fight and indulge in politics and secondly there is no age to learn and become independent. The show’s end did come a little unexpectedly as the viewers were enjoying the plot but then we don’t have a say in such things and we look forward to some other projects ahead.”

Sharda's 'dance trick' to bring Karan and Sakshi together in Sony TV's Ekk Nayi Pehchaan

With the entry of Sakshi’s ex boyfriend Aditya (Deepak Sandhu) in their lives, the sweet couple Karan (Karan Sharma) and Sakshi (Krystle D’souza) has been suffering from a harrowing time in Sony Entertainment Television’s Ekk Nayi Pehchaan.

This also brought in a lot of drama in the Jay and Kinnari Mehta Productions’ show with Karan losing his trust on Sakshi and she on her part, trying to win over her husband’s love once again.

Trying hard to bring the estranged couple back and in the coming episode a disturbed Sharda (Poonam
Dhillon) will use a very interesting trick. On the occasion of Diya’s doll’s wedding, Sharda will ask Sakshi to perform a dance number. And once her bahu will be on the floor, Sharda will force her son to join the dance.

The dramatic show on Sony Entertainment Television, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan (Jay and Kinnari Mehta) that has been focusing on Sharda (Poonam Dhillon) and her quest to find her identity, will soon reflect on the romance between Sakshi (Krystle D’souza) and Karan (Karan Sharma).

Well, this surely would come as great news for all fans of the couple who have been missing the sweet romantic chemistry in the show.

Informs a source, “Sakshi in the coming episodes will meet with a life threatening accident and will be advised complete rest by the doctors.”

At her home, everyone will be worried about Sakshi and Suresh (Sooraj Thappar) will ask Sharda to take a break from her studies and take care of Sakshi. And this is when Karan will take charge and tell his family that he will take care of Sakshi and nurse her back to health.

Karan, as viewers have seen, has been quite an irresponsible person and thus Sharda will be apprehensive to leave Sakshi in Karan’s care. But Karan will assure his mother that he will not let her down and will take proper care of Sakshi and help her recover soon.

A couple of days ago Tellychakkar.com had reported how an upset Sakshi (Krystle D’souza) would leave her house after a spat with husband Karan (Karan Sharma) in Sony Entertainment Television’s Ekk Nayi Pehchaan (Jay and Kinnari Mehta Productions).

Not wanting to have someone have a say over him, Karan had asked Sakshi to leave him alone. Thus the couple, who had just started to find love between them, got away from each other. But as predicted by 'expert mom' Sharda (Poonam Dhillon), Karan has already started missing Sakshi in his life and wants her back home.

Informs a source, “Karan would act as if he is unfazed by the going away of Sakshi but he will terribly miss her. Noticing this, Sharda will plan to reunite the couple.”

With the family wanting to call back Sakshi, they will ask Karan to get her back. And the boy, who is generally very lazy when it comes to work, will happily agree to go to Sakshi’s place and bring her back.
Sharda will tell Karan that his younger brother can bring Sakshi home and he does not need to go. But Karan will be adamant and tell her that he will do so as it won’t look good if he doesn’t go to her house. This will bring in a ray of hope in Sharda’s life after which she will be positive that Karan and Sakshi would reunite.

When we buzzed Karan he said, “We have already shot for the sequence and it will be fun for the viewers to see the same.”

But will Sakshi agree to come back with Karan?


Sharda fights hard to discover her self-identity in Sony TV's Ekk Nayi Pehchaan

The popular show on Sony Entertainment Television, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan (Jay and Kinnari Mehta Productions) is currently showing how with the passage of time, Sharda (Poonam Dhillon) is getting a strong foothold in her journey to discover herself.

Her daughter-in-law Sakshi (Krystle D’souza) has got her admitted in a coaching centre for elders where slowly and steadily Sharda is trying to adjust herself.

However, Sharda will have her task cut out as she would have to get friendly with her classmates at the centre. And this will not be an easy task for her.

So what will she do to break the ice?

Well, to get friendly with the classmates, Sharda will cook some delicacies and take it along with her to impress them. She will succeed in her attempt too, as all will relish her delicacies, and will even start singing praises about her cooking talent. But this will not go down well with Professor Kamath (Rituraj Singh). He will reprimand Sharda for bringing food to the class as in his words, “this is not a cooking class”.

Informs a source, “Though Sharda will be disappointed, she will understand her teacher’s remark and decide to completely focus on her studies.”

Prof. Kamath will then ask the class to write an essay on themselves. Not knowing what to write, Sharda will ask one of her classmates to write an essay for her. And the classmate will write about how Sharda manages her family so well.

However, Sakshi will try to make her mother-in-law realize that apart from being a wife and a house maker, she is an individual and she has to realize this. She would force Sharda to write something about herself, and not about her family.

Will Sharda be able to find her identity?

Something on the same lines is going to unfold in Sony Entertainment Television’s popular show Ekk Nayi Pehchaan (Jay and Kinnari Mehta Productions).

As earlier reported by Tellychakkar.com, Sakshi (Krystle D’souza) will get upset seeing her father-in-law (Sooraj Thapar) insulting her mother-in-law Sharda (Poonam Dhillon) for her being illiterate and causing a huge loss to their business. This will make the young girl decide to teach her mother-in-law to defend her self-respect.

Informs a source, “Although Sakshi will decide to educate her mother-in-law, she will not know how to put across the matter to her.”

The daughter-in-law will decide that the best way to talk about this matter will be before God. Accordingly, she will take Sharda to a temple and present the idea of further studies. Initially, Sharda will not want to take up studies but a Godly occurring will change her mind.

What will it be?

Well, Lord Krishna himself will give a green signal to her decision by dropping off a peacock feather on her and give a go ahead to her decision of taking up studies (clap clap).

We had recently reported about the developments in Sony Entertainment Television’s Ekk Nayi Pehchaan (Jay and Kinnari Mehta Productions) when Lord Krishna himself gave a sign of a go-ahead to Sharda (Poonam Dhillon) regarding her education plans.

And now in the upcoming episodes, that explores the real relationship between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, the audience is all set to witness an interesting twist.

The makers of the show, that marks the entry of Poonam Dhillon on the small screen, is leaving no stones unturned to entertain its audiences. Now the entertainment quotient is set to be doubled as the viewers will get to see a new beginning in Sharda’s life.

Sharda’s daughter-in-law Sakshi (Krystle D’souza), who was upset about her mother-in-law being ridiculed by their family for her being illiterate, will enroll her in an English coaching class. Sharda, who has been living the life of a simple woman being trampled by words and insult from her family, will find a new direction by way of this decision of Sakshi.

But her first day at the coaching class will not be a happy one.

Sunil Grover's Mad In India shuts shop; is Kapil Sharma smiling?

More than a clash of creative, it turned out to be a conflict of egos. And media played a major part in creating a rift, which was on the cards.

Sunil Grover, hitherto a regular stand-up comedian, shot to immense fame playing the obnoxious frothing, frowning and giggling lady character Gutthi in Comedy Nights with Kapil, airing on Colors.

The character Gutthi became larger than life, which as per source information and media reports pumped
Sunil’s ego who by then had already given wind and wings to his ambitions.

His decision to move out of the show that made him a household name came as a shocker to many.

So what did Sunil do after exiting Comedy Nights? Well, he went on to spearhead his own show on rival channel Star Plus, Mad In India.

Thus, became the game of comparisons. Who’s better Comedy or Mad? Sunil or Kapil?

Yes, Sunil did come as a threat to the channel and the makers of Comedy (K9 and SOL), or else why would they resort to legal means against

Sunil. Colors made all efforts to stop Sunil from using or mimicking the Gutthi avatar in other platforms. After all, it was their creation and it was close to their heart.

But a resilient Sunil went on with his plans and started entertaining viewers as Chutki, a character very similar to Gutthi, on Mad In India.

Yes, people did switch on to Star Plus to check out Sunil’s act. But alas, soon they had to reach for their remote to find comic solace in some other offering, in some other channel.

Mad In India tanked. The show initially looked like a big circus on stage, with a script that was more
horrendous than hilarious. With low TRPs, the channel creatives made frantic conceptual changes. Manish Paul was sent out thus bringing in Chunkey Pandey and Krushna Abhishek. Chutki aka Sunil was seen more on screen, making desperate attempts to connect with the masses.

But nothing worked. The series which was meant to air 26 episodes is set to wrap up after airing13 episodes. Three more episodes to go before it breathes its last on 4 May (2014).

With Sunil’s show shutting shop, is his professional rival Kapil having a hearty laugh? It’s true Kapil has always maintained that he has no bones against Sunil, but on and off on the sets of Comedy, creatives have been heard discussing the progression of Sunil’s show, which is quite natural as competitors. With Mad In India gone, Kapil will surely breathe easy and thump his authority more in the comic genre.

So why did Sunil fail? It could be a creative miss but what could have also choked Sunil and his intelligence was the burden to outperform Kapil and his histrionics.

Comedy and any form of art should flow like a cascade, serenading the senses of the viewers. Anything under pressure, that too negative, could prove to be fatal.

There are reports that Sunil might return to Comedy Nights. If at all that happens, it would be a visual treat for viewers. Now it would depend on Sunil and Kapil looking at the larger picture, letting go minor differences and connecting creatively to gift viewers a comic orgasm, together.

We texted Sunil to learn about his future plans but he kept busy shooting.

Kapil as usual remained out of reach.

Comedian Krushna Abhishek steps in for Sunil Grover

 

The latest on the tube is that for STAR Plus’ Holi Masti Gulal Ki produced by FRAMES Productions Pvt Ltd., comedian Krushna Abhishek who is seen on a rival channel has stepped into Sunil Grover’s shoes for the Holi special ‘Masti Gulal Ki. It so happened that the latter - Sunil Grover aka ‘Chutki’ who was earlier approached, has been very busy shooting for his show Mad In India alongside his film and due to prior commitments he could not be a part of the Holi special on the channel. Hence, Krushna like the lord came to the rescue and will be seen stepping into Sunil’s role to tickle the funny bones of the viewers.

Krushna who seemed more than happy to step into Chutki’s shoes said, “I love comedy so I would never miss out on any opportunity to perform. STAR Plus’ ‘Water-Free Holi’ initiative is really unique & eco-friendly and I’m glad we will be playing Holi this year with just organic colours and flowers. I have some surprises for the viewers as they’ll see me in different get ups in the show. Do watch me and play the Holi in STAR PLUS way, conserve the water and have a safe Holi.”

Guess, Sunil’s loss has become Krushna’s gain. Sigh! But who is complaining? We say- All’s well that ends well!

‘Masti Gulal Ki’ is a unique initiative by STAR Plus where you will get to see all your favorite stars play a water-free Holi and dance to some fun and romantic numbers. It will air on 16 March at 12.30pm.
Krushna is also hosting the upcoming season of Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega on Sony along with Mona Singh.

After Chutki, Sunil Grover to become Sabjee in Mad In India, Sharman and Mahie to promote Gang of Ghosts

Tired of comedy shows encashing on cross-dressing antics? Sunil Grover’s Gutthi on Comedy Nights With Kapil who started the men-in-sarees brand of humour has decided to go easy on the gender benders.

On his show Mad In India Grover would now play two roles, the popular female avatar Chutki and a brand new avatar as a boy named Sabjee.

“The idea is to expand the band-width of the humour from gender differences to a more broad-based appeal. It is hoped that Grover’s kid-avatar Sabjee would become as popular as Grover’s female avatars.”

Sunil Grover’s Mad In India is on a damage-control spree. We now hear the show has roped in cricketer Harbhajan Singh for a tete-a-tete with Sunil Grover who will appear on before the cricketer as a child eager to learn the ropes of the game from the champ.

Says a source close to the show, “The producers (Keylight) wanted Grover to come on the show as Chutki to interview Harbhajan Singh. But Grover doesn’t want to make the cross-dressing the show’s talking-point. 

Hence the child.”

Furthermore, actors Sharman Joshi and Mahie Gill will be on the sets today to shoot for the promotional activity of their upcoming movie Gang of Ghosts. The episode will air in the coming days. 

Udit Narayan and Mika’s 'war of songs' in Star Plus' Mad In India

Star Plus’ ‘Mad in India- 100 % Desi Show’ has been spreading the madness since its launch and there is surely more craziness expected. But what happens when the music industry’s two completely opposite personalities share the same stage? One is bound to witness a war and that is exactly what happened.

The singing sensation Udit Narayan, who has managed to draw a connect with his brilliant voice, and the Punjabi heartthrob Mika Singh, who sang his way through many hearts, decided to get down on the floor to compete with each other and it left audience in splits.

Yes, this was some serious business which eventually turned into a laughter gas. When Manish Paul requested the two to sing, Udit and Mika got into a fun war of songs, where the two sang the same songs in many languages. To everyone’s surprise they sang in Hindi, Tamil, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati and more!
We wonder if this was all in the name of fun or the two were trying to hint at something else. All we say is War chhod na yaar!

The episode will air this Sunday at 9pm.

We aren't here to compete or demean people: Manish Paul

Manish Paul, one of the most popular hosts of Indian Television at the moment, who has been associated with every channel from Colors, Zee TV to Star Plus, believes in being a free bird.
Though Mad in India on Star Plus is being looked upon as a competition to Colors’ Comedy Nights With 
Kapil, Manish does not want be dragged into it. As a matter of fact, he believes that he has a cordial relationship with all and will maintain the same.

Hmm, being politically correct, Manish?

Talking about his new show, Manish tells us, “As a host I will chit chat with the audience and the celebs of this show. Hence no stand up and get ups for me. I will just be Manish Paul.”

So, does the actor feel the pressure of this show being pitted against a popular show (Comedy Nights With Kapil)? “I am not scared. As an artiste, I am here to work and we, as a team, just want to entertain the audience at large. We aren’t here to compete or demean people. Even my interactions are such that it does not make fun of someone. Come, enjoy, laugh with us and go home,” he observes.

Interestingly Manish assures that this funny show will have celebs from different fields. “We are trying to get a mix and match of celebs. So you will not just see people from only films, but from other fields too. In fact you never know if I’d plan to get one of the technicians from our sets as the guest. I also keep gifting a lot.
And I’ve told the channel that if someone likes what I am wearing, I might just gift it to them, be it a coat or a watch,” Manish informs.

The format of this show has three judges. So who will be the judges of the show? “The judges will be three people from the audience. They will basically have the power to ask the celebrity any question that they want to or give a dance performance if they’d like to,” he avers.

What’s the USP of the show? “The rotating set of our show is the biggest USP. The chat portion and gags are different. Basically, it’s an out-and-out fun show,” Manish quips.

We remind the actor that in spite of the show’s USP, Mad in India will be looked upon as a competition to Kapil’s show. And considering that they are good friends in real life, did Manish talk to Kapil about him taking up Mad? “No, not at all, I handle my work on my own. I have my own team that decides for me.
Kapil never asks me if he wants to use a pun. Moreover I wouldn’t say that I have a relationship with just one channel, for I talk to everyone. I am a free bird; I go to Sony, Colors and Star Plus whenever they offer me work. I have made it amply clear with Star that I will go to other channels as well. I will also go to Kapil’s show to promote my upcoming film,” the host puts in.

The shadows of one’s past can haunt a person and that’s what we witnessed during the press launch of Star Plus’ Mad In India (Key Light Productions).

Yes, we are talking about Gutthi aka Sunil Grover who has turned a new leaf to get into the robe of Chutki!!
Interestingly, while on one side Sunil Grover seems to have forgotten his past Gutthi and has embraced Chutki, something related to Kapil Sharma and his show miffed him at the press conference.
Wondering what exactly happened?

Well, a reporter in an attempt to get something new in her video story carried a heart shaped placard with pictures of the cast of Comedy Nights With Kapil.

Interestingly, the minute she handed over this heart to Grover, he turned red in anger and refused to give an interview to this reporter from a well known entertainment channel. In fact, he also went on to express his displeasure to a channel representative.

On one hand, Sunil still considers his counterpart Kapil Sharma as his friend, but what took us by shock was the fact that the guy was so red in his face on seeing Kapil’s photo in the heart that he could not even hold his anger from coming out in public!!

Well, one can clearly decipher that all’s not well between Kapil and Sunil!!

Guess this rivalry of sorts will go on for some time now!!

Sunil Grover talks about his unfortunate car accident

Comic actor Sunil Grover who is all set to start his own show Mad In India from 16 February on Star Plus, had an accident on Thursday on a highway near Panvel when his car tyre burst injuring three motorists in another vehicle.

While the above accident was widely reported in the papers what was not known is that Grover was travelling with his mother when the accident happened.
Grover’s mom sustained injuries.

Shaken and reluctant to talk about the accident Grover finally said, “It was not an experience I’d like to ever repeat. My mother was with me in the car when the accident happened. The car’s tyre burst all of a sudden. Before I knew it was happening our car skidded out of control.”

Grover’s mother hurt herself on her chin and lips. “More than myself I was badly shaken by what happened to my mother.”

A huge crowd gathered around Grover’s car. Passersby on the road recognized Grover. Rather than showing concern for the injured the oglers gawkers and bystanders demanded pictures with Grover.

Shuddering at the nightmarish experience Grover said, “Luckily we were whisked away by the police. My mom has been taken care of. So, I hear, have those who were injured on the road.”

Grover is now back on the sets. He has a feature film Gabbar directed by Southern director Krish and his own show to shoot for simultaneously.

“It isn’t easy. I’ve to divide my time between the show and the film. I am running in and out of the two sets. The last thing I need is accidents and mishaps in my life. But then I guess accidents are bin bulaaye mehmaan...Like Gutthi in Kapil’s show.”

Kapil's team wished me luck for Mad In India: Shweta Tiwari

Shweta Tiwari, the hot and sexy looking TV star, also a mother to a teenager in real life is all set to play a comical character named Katrina Mishra in Star Plus’ Mad In India (Key Light Productions).

Interestingly, Shweta was approached for both Comedy Nights With Kapil on Colors and Mad In India. However, she chose to be a part of the latter.

We all know that Shweta is great friends with Kapil, given their Comedy Circus connection.

So, why did she choose Mad In India over Kapil’s show, we queried her. “I realised that Kapil’s show is set, hence I wouldn’t have known the life of the character they were offering me. Katrina Mishra was good, plus this was a new show, so I took it up. In fact, I told Kapil’s team about the same and they wished me luck. Hence, I don’t think there are problems. I did do a cameo sequence with them”

What about Kapil’s show being a direct competitor to your new show? “No, we are not competing. We are just being compared by you people (the media). Had we been competing, we too would have got a bua or a dadi but then we have a mohalla (society),”clarified the artist.

On the new avatar of Katrina Mishra, the elegant lady said, “She will do something new every time to impress the audience. Moreover while the other artists play the same characters she will be seen in different avatars.”

Shweta who has developed a very good comic timing, with her vast experience in the genre went on to say, “I have learnt the knack over a period of time. After enormous efforts put in, I now have a good comic timing, as that’s the most important thing when it comes to a comic act, especially when celebrities come on the show. One has to be impromptu as they do not have a script. So, I’d say I am still learning.”

The actress has also mastered Bhojpuri for her character and she gives the credit to good friend Manoj Tiwari. “Trust me I can hardly speak in Bhojpuri. But let me tell you the truth. I copy Manoj Tiwari (wink).” Now that’s an interesting confession.

Sachin Tendulkar to be Sunil Grover's first guest on Star Plus' Mad In India

All speculation regarding who will be the inaugural guest on Sunil Grover’s brand new show Mad In India when it kick starts on 16 February, can be laid to rest.

Not cricketer Yuvraj. It’s Sachin Tendulkar who has been invited as the first guest on Grover’s show.

A source close to Star Plus confirmed that negotiations are in “the final stages” for the Little Master’s big appearance.

Says the source, “The channel wants Sunil Grover’s guest-profile to be completely different from Kapil’s. Instead of inviting stars to promote their films Mad In India will invite celebrity guests from other professions. And not only cinema.”

Inviting Sachin Tendulkar on Mad In India is being seen as a master-stroke.

“It will immediately give the show a high-profile audience,” says the source.

Golmaal star Siddharth Jadhav joins Sunil Grover & Manish Paul in Mad in India

Star Plus’ upcoming comedy offering - Mad in India - 100% Desi Show-will be a joyride for the audience.
After Sunil Grover revealed his Chutki avtaar, we got the news of Manish Paul hosting and Dolly Ahluwalia also joining the gang of crazy mad hatters.

The latest news we have is Marathi Mulga Siddharth Jadhav confirmed to play an important role in the show.

Siddharth has given some hilarious performances not only in Marathi Cinema but also in the blockbuster Golmaal series. He’ll be seen matching his comic timings with Chutki.
The show will go on air in the month of February!!!

It’s final. Sunil ‘Gutthi’ Grover’s comedy show which starts in February will be entitled Mad In India.
According to channel sources, “Several title options were thrown around including Giggly Evenings With Grover and Gutthi Nights. But Sunil was totally opposed to his name being part of the show’s title. The title finally chosen for Grover’s show is Mad In India.”

It’s going to be a full-on Gutthi and Gabbar season for stand-up comedian Sunil Grover.

Starting in March he’d be shooting simultaneously for his own show on Star Plus and his first major feature film, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions Gabbar.

And Grover won’t allow either of the two projects to suffer.

To ensure that he does full justice to both the show and to his film, Grover has decided to go on air with his television show only once a week for now.

Says a source, “There was plenty of pressure on Sunil to make his show a bi-weekly since Comedy Nights With Kapil is a bi-weekly now. But Sunil is adamant. He will go on air once a week every Sunday at 8.30 pm, as he needs to give time to his film with Akshay Kumar.”

Apparently Grover’s original role in A Murugadoss Tamil film Ramanaa was devoid of the comic element.

“But Grover and the Gabbar producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali have decided to incorporate comic elements into his character. Sunil is working hard on his character in Gabbar. And to do full justice to both Gabbar and his television show Sunil must divide his time wisely. By doing the show once a week he will have ample time for his film career,” says the source.

The Star Network`s Kannada General Entertainment Channel Suvarna announces the launch of their new fiction show “Swathi Muthu” from 20 January 2014 every Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm.

The story plot is, “Muthu” (Mruthyunjaya) is a rich and good looking innocent guy. He has a very special character which differentiates him from the rest. Rukmini is a teacher & Bhama is a mentally retarded girl, the story takes unexpected twists & turns when these two girls enter Muthu’s life.”

In an unusual but enriching kind of development, TV star Karanvir Bohra has gone on to replace Bollywood star Abhay Deol as the face of Channel V’s Gumrah.

The show produced by Balaji Telefilms had Karan Kundra hosting the first three seasons before Abhay entered the picture. And now Karanvir Bohra (who is seen mesmerizing viewers in Qubool Hai) will take the show forward.

KVB, the new host, has already started shooting and from what we hear, the makers and channel seem to be quite impressed by his work.

Shares a source from the production, “Although Abhay was a good choice, he did not connect with the TV audience. The channel thus wanted a popular and strong personality. That is when we thought of Karanvir.”

Aanchal Munjal to feature in Channel V's Gumrah: End of Innocence

Talented Aanchal Munjal, who got all the spotlight in Sony Entertainment Television’s Parvarrish and later went on to bag the pivotal role of Pihu in Balaji Telefilms’ Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, will feature in an upcoming episode of Gumrah: End Of Innocence (Lost Boy Productions and Balaji Telefilms) on Channel V.

The girl will play the central character of Hetal in the story titled Dual Life. Hetal will be a girl who would be outstanding in whatever she does and takes up. She will be the inspiration for many a people including her family, cousins etc - a person who has always faced success and has never tasted failure in life. However, when she will get to face the real world, she will quickly understand that there are many people who excel in whatever they do. Also, she will realize that she has many shortcomings that she needs to rectify.

Her life will all of a sudden see a twist wherein something will happen, post which she will go through a contrasting change, which will lead to her being Gumrah.

When contacted, Aanchal confirmed that she is presently shooting for the show.

Nandish Sandhu to quit Colors’ Beintehaa?

Nandish Sandhu, the new male lead on Colors’ Beintehaa (Fortune Productions) is apparently creatively disappointed with the way his character has progressed on the show. And the result is that he has decided to quit the show.

As per sources, the actor seems to be unhappy as he was promised a nice character sketch as the new male lead on the show. But many creative changes apparently diluted the character’s growth is what he feels.

A source from the set told us, “Nandish has already had a word with the production house, explaining his grievances regarding the character’s growth. The actor seems dissatisfied at his character turning negative.”

In fact, we also hear that a very interesting culmination story is presently being worked upon to end the character.

We tried contacting Nandish, and even sent him a text message, but he chose not to reply.

When we contacted Producer Farhan, he said, “There is nothing like that. There is an interesting story line coming up ahead is all I can say.”

We tried buzzing the channel spokesperson, but did not get any revert.

For the uninitiated, Nandish had earlier quit his Zee TV show, Phir Subah Hogi for creative reasons.

Preetika miffed with change in 'Beintehaa' timeslot?

Preetika Rao is relieved that her serial Beintehaa has not been terminated because of the eighth season of Bigg Boss, hosted by superstar Salman Khan.

The reality show rolled out Sunday and Beintehaa has been booted from its primetime slot to 11 p.m.

The move has reportedly not gone down well with Preetika.

"Preetika felt her popular serial had every right to occupy a primetime slot, and she is right in her own way. However, with Bigg Boss taking over primetime, there was no option but to push Beintehaa forward,” said a source.

When contacted, Preetika said: "Most serials have been taken off the air with the advent of the new season of Bigg Boss and will reappear after a three-month break. We are lucky that our show was not pulled out of telecast."

"Imagine if we had to go into hibernation for three months! Our serial's popularity ensured that didn't happen," she added.

The younger sister of Bollywood actress Amrita Rao is hopeful that her serial's popularity won't suffer because of the late-night slotting.
"When earlier we had the re-telecast slot of 11.30 p.m. our serial got the maximum re-telecast viewership. I am hopeful that the new slot would work for us,” she said.

The story of the fiction show revolves around a Muslim family.

Pooran Kiri to enter Colors' Beintehaa

The ‘Usmaan accident drama’ will take a new twist in Colors’ Beintehaa (Fortune Productions).
How?

The serial will see the entry of a new investigative officer and the character will be played by Pooran Kiri (Savdhan India, Crime Patrol, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai).

As per the recent track, Usmaan (Naved Aslam) met with an accident inside a lift leaving him in a critical condition. The incident shocked the Abdullah family to the core.

Now, this development will take a new turn with Pooran coming into the picture.

As an officer on duty, Pooran’s character will put Aaliya’s (Preetika Rao) friend Zubair (Mohit Malhotra) behind bars. Zubair’s arrest will astonish the Abdullah family. This will be followed by a series of other dramatic events.

Pooran confirmed his entry to Tellychakkar.com and said, “I was told that this will be an interesting track, hence I signed the show.”

Dimple Jhangiani wraps up shoot for Colors’ Beintehaa

The character that you loathed, that of Barkat in Colors’ Beintehaa (Fortune Productions) played by the ever lovely Dimple Jhangiani will soon bid farewell to the show as Barkat will be shown going to jail in the upcoming episodes.

As seen so far, Barkat’s evil deeds have been exposed to the family by Zain (Harshad Arora) and Aaliya
(Preetika Rao), that led to her being thrown out of the house. But now with her trying to kill Usmaan (Naved Aslam), the family will be really enraged and decide to give her to the police. Although Surraiya (Suchitra Pillai) will keep her faith intact in Barkat and hope for her return.

But that is not going to happen as Dimple will be wrapping her shoot today (10 June) and with that the curtain will fall on her popular character of Barkat.

When we spoke to the girl, she confirmed the developments and said, “Although Barkat will leave she will manage to create differences between Aaliya and Surraiya and she would be confident that her actions would show colors in the coming days.”

Talking about her experience Dimple stated, “This was the first time I got to play a Muslim character and it has been an interesting and learning journey for me. And most importantly playing a negative character has been a challenging experience and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the show.”

“The team is a beautiful one and I had the time of my life shooting with them. It was such a homely environment and I am going to miss everyone a lot. They never made me feel like I was new on the show. The long lasting chats and especially the jokes will be terribly missed but I wish the show all the best,” she added with a smile.

When asked Dimple what is she looking forward to next, the pretty gal averred, “I am not taking a break for sure and will be on the lookout for good projects. Now having tried my hands in a negative character I will be fine with all kinds of roles. Hopefully viewers will get to see me soon in an interesting role.”

Barkat to attempt murder again; Zain to save Usmaan in Colors' Beintehaa

The popular show Beintehaa (Fortune Productions) on Colors’ has been seeing a lot of dramatic sequences in the last few days with Barkat (Dimple Jhangiani) trying her luck to kill her father Usmaan (Naved Aslam).

As seen so far, Barkat is making sinister plans to kill Usmaan so that she can take over his entire property. She had tried to poison his milk but was caught red handed in time by Aaliya (Preetika Rao).

Left with no other option she will decide to plan another way to kill her father and seeing that it’s time for him to go swimming in his club, Barkat will mix a paralyzing poison in it and wait for Usmaan to take a dip and get killed.

Informs a source, “Usmaan will get into the pool and the medicine will begin showing its effect on him and he will lose his mobility and start to drown.”

So will he get killed?

No, for our hero Zain (Harshad Arora) will enter in the nick of time and rush towards his father who will be floating on the water motionless. The shocked son would be glad to see him alive and rush him to the hospital where the doctors would attend him. He will also recall Aaliya’s word about Barkat trying to kill Usmaan and suspicion will thus germinate in his mind too.

Will Usmaan be paralyzed? Will Zain confront Barkat?

We called up Dimple who said, “There are loads of twists and turns lined up and I think viewers should not miss any episode for the show is it at its dramatic peak these days.”

Love is certainly in the air for Zain (Harshad Arora) and Aaliya (Preetika Rao) in Colors’ Beintehaa (Fortune Productions). After a rozy affair confessing their love, the couple now looks forward to spending some romantic moments together.

And they will look for some private time in the coming episodes. However, few funny incidents will come as a hurdle spoiling their otherwise romantic ambience.

Firstly, Zain getting into a typical romantic mood will jump on Aaliya who would be in bed. And to their embarrassment, they will break the bed. And when the incident of breaking the bed would come before the entire family, Zain and Aaliya will be discomfited to the core. With their bed not in a condition to be used,
Zain and Aaliya will be forced to spend the night in the kids’ room.

A source states, “With the bunker beds put up in the kids’ room preventing them from sleeping together, the two love birds will be heart-broken. Meanwhile, the entire family will decide to go out of town. However, the much in love couple will create their own silly excuses to stay back home and enjoy some private time.”

The tide of ‘romance’ is certainly blowing on Zain (Harshad Arora) and Aaliya (Preetika Rao) in Colors’ Beintehaa, and as they say, ‘jealousy’ is the stepping stone to ‘love’.

In the episodes to come, Aaliya will be bit by the jealousy bug when Zain in his sleep will be dreaming about a girl.

Says a source, “Aaliya will be shocked to see Zain hugging a pillow at night and blabbering while sleeping.
She will get close to him to hear what he is saying. And she will be shocked to hear the words – ‘Aaliya I love you’… For a second, Aaliya will assume that Zain is in love with her, but the very next second, Zain will say the words ‘Aaliya Bhatt I love you’…This will indeed make Aaliya jealous.”

Furthermore, Zain’s craziness to meet Aaliya Bhatt would not cease, and he will be busy finding out when
Aaliya will come. Hearing this, Aaliya will not digest the fact that Zain craves for another woman. Aaliya will plan to play a prank on Zain…

Dimple Jhangiani to enter Colors' Beintehaa

The upcoming episodes of Colors’ Beintehaa (Fortune Productions) is going to be an entertaining one with Zain (Harshad Arora) and Aaliya (Preetika Rao) getting re-married and the duo also managing to locate Zain’s missing sister Barkat.

Now who would play the role of Barkat?

We have learnt from sources that Dimple Jhangiani has been signed for the above role.

The actress post her stint in Mrs Pammi Pyarelal (Colors) featured in an episodic in Yeh Hai Aashiqui (Bindass).

According to the plot, she would be seen as Zain’s sister who would have been abducted at the time of birth by Aaliya’s paternal uncle Meer Khan (Sunil Sinha).

As seen so far, Zain and Aaliya reached the venue where Barkat was about to get married (in a mass wedding ceremony). To enter the ceremony, they faked as a ‘to be married’ couple.

There they ended up getting married again and also traced Barkat, who was about to marry some old man, fixed by Meer.

When contacted Dimple for a confirmation she said, “Nothing has been finalised yet.”

However, a reliable source said that the actress has already started shooting and her entry will air coming
Monday (14 April 2014).

Heartbroken Aaliya to leave the house; Zain to get her back home in Colors' Beintehaa

Post the Aayat (Yaashika Gupta) incident in Colors' Beintehaa (Fortune Productions), Zain (Harshad Arora) and Aaliya (Preetika Rao) have come closer. And while everything seems to be hunky dory for the duo at the moment, things will soon go haywire.

Since Zain's mother (Suchitra Pillai) has never wanted the duo to stay together, their closeness will prick her eyes and she will try to make Aaliya feel insecure about her relationship with Zain.

And the kind of person Aaliya is, she will not accept what Zain's mother has to say. And thus she will decide to confront Zain about his love for her but before she is able to do that, she will hear Zain joking about their relationship in front of his friends.

This will not go well with Aaliya and she will decide to leave the house at once. Next, she will be seen sitting at the railway station to get back to her maternal home Bhopal.

On learning about the same Zain will hurriedly move towards the station and somehow convince Aaliya to get back home with him.

It would be interesting to watch if this is a beginning to another love-hate relationship or shudh desi romance.

Zain comes to Aaliya's rescue in the nick of time in Colors' Beintehaa

Aaliya (Preetika Rao) has gone all out in helping Fahaad (Vivek Madan) come out from the betting scandal in Colors’ Beintehaa (Fortune Productions). As per the ongoing track, she has got money for Fahaad in return for her jewels.

In tonight’s episode, Aaliya will go to a secluded place to give the same money to Fahaad. However, Zain (Harshad Arora) will follow her, and will assume that Aaliya has given money to an unknown guy. Fahaad in the meantime, will give money to Chakkiwala and will thank Aaliya for helping him on time.

All’s well till here… But trouble will brew for Aaliya when Suraiyya (Suchitra Pillai) will get to know of Aaliya not having her jewels with her. To catch Aaliya red-handed, Suraiyya will ask a jeweller to come home and will ask all her bahus to get their jewels. The jeweller however, will identify Aaliya giving him her jewels. Suraiyya will then blame Aaliya for giving her jewels to her parents. She will command Aaliya to get the jewels back by next morning.

A source tells us that Zain on knowing about Aaliya giving off her jewels, will yell at her. The next morning, when Aaliya will be wondering what she will tell Suraiyya about the jewels, Zain will come home with all the jewels in his hand. This way, Zain will save Aaliya, and will also understand why she kept silent and never revealed the truth about Fahaad’s betting scandal.

Meanwhile, Fahaad will confess in Aaliya and Zain that the goon is now asking for a bigger sum of 5 crore.
Also, the fact that Fahaad would have kept the papers of The Barkat Royale with the goon will shock Aaliya and Zain.

Aaliya to face her first victory after impressing Zain's friends in Colors' Beintehaa

Colors’ Beintehaa, produced by Fortune Productions is presently seeing a friction of sorts wherein the talk of a ‘talaaq’ between Zain (Harshad Arora) and Aaliya (Preetika Rao) has been raised by Suraiyya (Suchitra Pillai). The news of Zain wanting a divorce has reached the ears of Shabana (Riva Bubber) too.
In the coming episodes, Shabana will muster courage and call Zain to know if he really wants to divorce Aaliya. Zain will convince Shabana that he is not looking for a divorce. Zain will also confront his mother Suraiyya for spreading the news of ‘talaaq’.

The cute nok-jhok between Zain and Aaliya will further continue, as both will try to put the other down.
However, Aaliya will have her first moment of victory in Zain’s house when she will please Zain’s closest friends by her way of talking and attitude.

Aaliya will give a makeover to her room as she would want to get into a video chat with her parents. So in order to give a normal appearance, she would first put up the wedding pictures in the room, so that her parents would feel all is fine between her and Zain. While Aaliya will be busy talking with her parents, Zain would bring his bunch of friends into the room, thus upsetting Aaliya’s parents. Zain will be embarrassed when his friends would address Aaliya as bhabhi, and hurriedly would ask Aaliya to get out of the room.

The new show on Colors, Beintehaa produced by Farhan Salaruddin’s Fortune Productions is one of its kind, as it will bring in a pan-Muslim story which is based on a couple’s hatred and their volatile relationship. Beintehaa premieres tonight on Colors and will take the 9 pm slot.

Beintehaa will mark the debut of Amrita Rao’s sister, Preetika Rao who essays the role of the head-strong girl Aaliya who is a traditional Bhopal-bred girl. And equally similar to her is the male lead Zain, essayed by newcomer Harshad Arora. Their life gets entangled as they get bounded by marriage, and the only common factor in their lives being ‘hatred’ for each other.

Moving to the first episode of Beintehaa – here is a preview to what viewers will be offered.

The episode will start with the introduction of Osman Abdullah, essayed by Naved Aslam, the owner of a chain of five star hotels and his wife Suraiya (Suchita Pillai). Osman in spite of being very rich, is grounded to his traditions and loves his native city of Bhopal. However, Suraiya has a dislike towards the place.

And then will come the big moment when Aaliya (Preetika Rao) will get introduced. She would be Osman’s niece who will be shown praying for the well-being of her Mamu, Osman. And on the other hand, Zain (Harshad Arora) will be busy enjoying his farewell party in London.

The episode will end with Aaliya praying at the Dargah with a hope that she will meet the love her life very soon.
