We start the day with Saurabh Tewari’s upcoming show for Sony Entertainment Television. For the uninitiated, we have already reported exclusively about Mohit Sehgal and Roshni Sahuta playing the lead faces in this untitled show with a Marathi backdrop.

We now hear that the maker and channel have roped in seasoned and experienced actors Shishir Sharma and Savita Prabhune for the project. Shishir Sharma was on a hiatus from television, and was last seen in Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. Prabhune played Aayi to Archana in the long-running
Balaji Telefilms show Pavitra Rishta for five years.

A reliable source states, “Shishir Sharma has been roped in to play father to the female lead in the upcoming Sony TV show. Prabhune will play mother to the male lead, Mohit Sehgal.”

Also, talented and beautiful actress Ashlesha Sawant who began her career with Balaji Telefilms’ Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has been roped in for an important role. She will play the elder sister of Mohit Sehgal, as per sources.

When contacted, Shishir confirmed the news stating, “Yes, I am supposed to play the father figure in the upcoming show. However, things are still at the nascent stage and I will like to talk on it at the right time.”

We could not reach out to Savita, as she was busy.

When buzzed, Ashlesha who has been part of shows like Kammal, Kahiin Toh Hoga, Saat Phere, Pavitra Rishta and continues to be part of Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara said, “I wonder how you people get to know things so early. I wish to speak to you at the right time.”

We tried buzzing Producer Saurabh Tewari, but he remained unavailable for a comment.

We contacted a channel spokesperson, but did not receive any revert.

This show, produced by Saurabh Tewari Films for Sony TV will go on floor mid-October.

Micckie Dudaaney to enter Singhasan Battisi as the ‘Super Villain’ Bhadrakaal

Dheeraj Kumar’s Creative Eye Limited, as we know, will welcome the New Year with the introduction of Betaal, essayed by Abhaas Mehta in their popular mythological/ historical/ fantasy based show on Sony PAL, Singhasan Battisi.

In addition to Betaal, the show will also see the introduction of a super villain, who will be a continuity character.

Named Bhadrakaal, the man will be a saint who would be a great threat to Raja Bhoj (Siddharth Arora) in his mission to ascend the throne of King Vikramaditya (Karan Suchak). In simple words, Bhadrakaal will have his evil eye on the Singhasan Battisi and would want to ascend it himself.

And to play this mighty negative character, the channel and production house have zeroed in on seasoned actor Micckie Dudaaney. Micckie has earlier done shows Saarthi, Bhaskar Bharti, Bandini and Chhoti Bahu 2. Recently he was seen in episodics of Adaalat and Savdhan India.

Micckie is currently playing for Mumbai Warriors in the ongoing Box Cricket League on Sony TV.
When contacted, Micckie confirmed the news to Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, I will soon be entering Singhasan Battisi. All I can say is that I essay the role of Bhadrakaal who will be a major threat to Raja Bhoj.”

We hear that Micckie will be given a stunning look, with long hair for his role. The actor will start shoot from tomorrow (4 January).

 

 

 

Raja Bhoj's task to kill Samant 'without looking at him' in Sony PAL's Singhasan Battisi

Sony PAL’s Singhasan Battisi (Creative Eye Ltd) will focus on the story of a villager by name Samant (Kunal Bakshi) who will lay the next big challenge for Raja Bhoj (Siddharth Arora).

Samant, a simpleton would have been in penance to please the Jal Pari, and would have got special powers. However, a curse that he would beget because of his wrong deeds would create a situation for him wherein whoever Samant would see will turn into gold. With this special power, Samant would get very cruel and will start ruining the entire village by turning everyone into gold.

When his wife, essayed by Priyanca Thakare, will try to impart some knowledge into him, he would mercilessly turn his wife too into gold. And this will be when Raja Bhoj will be put to a major test to kill this person. And the beauty would be that Bhoj would have to kill him before coming in front of him, as there would be every possibility of Samant turning Raja Bhoj into gold on seeing him.

When contacted, Kunal Bakshi told us, “This is a very interesting role, and the story is turning out very well. I have been shooting for Singhasan Battisi for few days now. I play the greedy man Samant who would have become the King of Kuber by turning everything that he sees into gold.”

Vikramaditya to wed Chitralekha amidst major drama in Sony PAL's Singhasan Battisi

Dheeraj Kumar’s unique presentation, Singhasan Battisi for Sony PAL will now feature the lavish Swayamvar of Chitralekha (Kajal Jain) which will see lot of drama and twists.

This particular story of Vikramaditya (Karan Suchak) will focus on the elements of friendship, romance and drama.

Actor Dinesh Mehta will play the role of Maartand, and will be the childhood friend of Vikramaditya who would eye on winning the swayamvar and marrying Chitralekha. However, Chitralekha who is a remarkable painter would have sketched Vikramaditya’s portraits and would have fallen for him. Maartand will want Vikram to accompany him to the swayamvar, as he can win it only with the help of Vikram.

However, when Chitralekha will see Vikramaditya at the swayamvar, she will be shocked and very disturbed by the fact that he is not participating in the swayamvar to win her.

With the help of Vikram, Maartand will win the swayamvar to wed Chitralekha. But the twist in the tale will happen when Chitralekha will accept that she is in love with Vikram. The manner in which she will wed Vikram even after Maartand wins her in the Swayamvar will be a treat to watch.
Maartand’s character will be negative, and he will want to wed Chitralekha at any cost.

The current promo of Star Plus' show Nisha Aur Uske Cousins has been showcasing that soon the reality of Nisha (Aneri Vajani) will come to the fore. The Bodhi Pictures’ project in the coming episodes will reveal why Nisha is the way she is in life- indifferent and lost.

And the one who will bring out the truth will be Nisha's mom, Laxmi. In the coming episodes Laxmi will be seen meeting the counselor to discuss about Nisha and will begin the search to find out what happened to her as a child.

She will discover torn clippings from Nisha’s scrap book and confront the school’s principal to know the truth.

Life OK’s Mahakumbh

With the Life OK show Mahakumbh (Arvind Babbal Productions) coming to an end, the creatives are set to tie up all the loose ends. But the makers are not compromising on the twists and turns in the supernatural mytho thriller series.

The viewers have already witnessed many a drama in the show, with Nagas capturing Shivanand (Manish Wadhwa) and Leela (Maya Salariya) helping Maya (Payal Rajput) by taking out poison from her body. And now, there are going to be some more twists with Maya getting kidnapped again.
A source shared, “Soon after Maya gained consciousness, Rudra (Gautam Rode) spoke to her about their future. Much to Maya’s shock Rudra will choose to fulfill his responsibilities as a Garuda leaving Maya alone. Though initially Maya will be pained with the decision, gradually she will accept the fact and will let Rudra handle his duties. But, soon after this Maya will be kidnapped by a group, which will be a plan to trap Rudra.”

With this new development this will be interesting to see who will kidnap Maya and whether Rudra will risk his life to safe Maya? And whether the Garuda will be finally able to protect the Amrit or not?

No doubt that the Life OK show Mahakumbh (Arvind Babbal Productions) has been successfully managed to keep its audience glued to the television screen with its gripping storyline.

Now dear fans, here comes some exclusive info about your favourite show.

In the show, Rudra (Gautam Rode) and Charles’ (Azad Ansari) identity as two Garudas or the protector of the Mahakumbh has already been revealed and it’s time for two more Garudas to reveal about themselves.

And guess who will be these two Garudas?

As per our source, “The next two Garudas, who will be the protector of Mahakumbh, will be
Thappadiya Mai (Ketki Dave) and Kathryn (Kelli Rroi). All the seven Garudas will come to Mahakumbh to serve their purpose.”

On the other hand Maya (Payal Rajput) will be seen to be very upset thinking about her uncle’s threat of killing Rudra. Maya’s uncle, who has some connection with Mahakumbh, will threat Maya to kill
Rudra if she would help him in fulfilling his mission. And for this reason she will blame herself and hold herself responsible for the demise of Mai Mui (Seema Biswas),” added the source.

With the revelation of four Garudas in the show, we are pretty sure that the story will take some more interesting turns.

Life OK's Mahakumbh promoted at Times Square

The buzzing streets of New York's Times Square saw the promos of Indian TV show "Mahakumbh- Ek Rahasya, Ek Kahani" being played out for a potential overseas audience.

It is a case in point that while Indian television is growing out of kitchen politics and run-of-the-mill concepts, promotional activities are also getting bigger.

The mytho-thriller, which airs on Life OK, was promoted at Times Square as well as few other parts of Manhattan, said a statement from the channel.

The overseas campaign was executed with the support of 21st Century Fox, a conglomerate of Fox Star Studios, owned by Star Network.

“Considering the storyline of 'Mahakumbh...', the show has a lot of references to an international conspiracy related to Mahakumbh, it was important for us to grab attention of our loyal and potential overseas audiences.

“The promo was strategically screened on Times Square in order to reach out to the masses in one go. While 'Mahakumbh...' was our first attempt to gain worldwide presence, we will continue to focus on international markets in future as well for our upcoming shows,” a channel spokesperson said in a statement.

"Mahakumbh.....", that went on air Dec 15, is a thriller about a boy who has supernatural powers. The gripping series features actors like Gautam Rode, child artist Siddharth Nigam, Seema Biswas, Payal Rajput and Manish Wadhwa.

The hard working crew of Mahakumbh

Life OK show Mahakumbh (Arvind Babbal Productions) has already received good response from
the audience and the show looks really promising.

But, as we know, nothing can pay off well until a substantial amount of hard work and effort is put behind it.

And what we hear from our sources is that the Mahakumbh crew is giving blood, sweat and also the happiness of celebrating during New Year, to the show.

Readers, are you eager to know what we are getting at?

Well, here comes some piece of info from the sets of Mahakumbh. The cast and crew of the show was busy shooting for a continuous stretch of twelve hours. And just after a break for one day, the entire crew resumed shooting.

Our source revealed, “The crew started shooting from seven in the evening on December 30 and continued till seven in the morning next day. And just after a day off on December 31, the entire crew was back to work from the very first day of the New Year”.

When we contacted Gautam Rode, the lead actor of the show, who is essaying Rudra, commented, “Yes we were shooting for a long time for the show, but in between I spent time with my family. And, I am definitely having fun while doing this show”.
All we can say is that hopefully the hard work of the crew presents us with some really wonderful scenes

Surekha Sikri to enter Life OK's Mahakumbh - Ek Rahasaya Ek Kahaani

Surekha Sikri, the experienced actress in both the TV as well as film sectors will be the next big name to join the big-ticket show on Life OK, Mahakumbh – Ek Rahasaya Ek Kahaani, produced by
acclaimed Director turned Producer, Arvind Babbal.

Yes, after the character played by Seema Biswas, Surekha’s character will be the driving force in the protagonist Rudra’s (Gautam Rode) life. She will be an aged woman, very positive who would guide him in every walk of life.

The veteran actress who has been appreciated for her stellar performance as Dadisa in Colors’ long-running show Balika Vadhu will have a different look for Mahakumbh. Though her character name has not been coined yet, she will be a person who would be looked up at with all dignity by Rudra.

When contacted, Surekha claimed that she is still in talks for the show, and there is nothing confirmed.

However, our source confirmed to us that the lady will soon be seen entering the show in a never-seen-before avatar.

'Mahakumbh' fever grips Varanasi

The usual evening of prayers was made special for devotees at a ghat on the bank of the Ganga river here when Bhojpuri star Manoj Tiwari along with the cast of forthcoming TV show Mahakumbh - Ek Rahasya, Ek Kahani made the right noises about channel Life OK's new offering.
It was more than just a regular Tuesday evening at the Dashashwamedh Ghat - with the fervour, the cheering and the smiles on people's faces.

Apart from the hustle bustle before the evening Ganga aarti, visitors sensed something special was in store -- much with the huge posters of the show, floral arrangements as well as a team of 20 security men.

Just then entered Gautam Rode, the actor whose popularity went up several notches with Saraswatichandra. He plays the protagonist Rudra in Mahakumbh. If teenaged girls ran with their mobile phones and screamed with excitement upon seeing their favourite 'Saras', the men in the crowd could easily recognise him via the Mahakumbh posters.

Accompanied by his co-actors Payal Rajput, Robin Das and Manish Wadhwa, child actor Siddharth Nigam, and Life OK executive vice president and general manager Ajit Thakur, Gautam cut through the crowd to make his way to a boat.

Just when the crowd couldn't get enough of his presence, entered Manoj Tiwari. Har har Mahadev -- the crowd chanted upon spotting Manoj, considered one of the biggest stars to emerge from Bihar. He was like Pied Piper with the crowd following him and not to one's surprise, joyfully danced to his tunes.

Manoj not just belted out some traditional and devotional numbers on the ghat prior to the holy aarti -- a daily exercise involving multiple priests who conduct the proceedings using incense, multi-layered lamp stands and the sound of the temple bells; but also personally introduced each of the Mahakumbh members to the audience.

He asked them to welcome and bless the show, which is also widely shot in Varanasi, considered India's oldest Hindu city.

The show's lead actors Gautam and Payal also conducted an aarti before the main aarti began and engulfed the environs with the pious fervour of devotion that this holy land is known for.
The evening ended with a boat ride in the winter chill. What remained was more curiosity for Mahakumbh, the story of an ordinary man with extraordinary powers.

A contemporary mytho thriller produced by Arvind Babbal Productions, the show will go on air 15 December, 2014 and will see acclaimed actress Seema Biswas in a key role.

Gautam Rode opts for natural tan for Mahakumbh

TV actor Gautam Rode is going out of his way to perfect his look for the show "Mahakumbh" -- even if it means tanning his body naturally to match the requirements.

Gautam is playing the protagonist Rudra -- a saviour and superhero -- in the show, which has been shot in various locations in India and abroad.

Rather than going the usual way and using make-up, the actor got tanned naturally to avoid looking as fair as he is in real life.

If one goes by the first poster of the show, Gautam has also worked very hard on his physique to get into his character.

The show, which will go on air on Life OK starting Dec 15, will "unfold an unheard story of a legend with powers unmatchable". It is said to be an amalgamation of contemporary and period drama because even though the main setting is modern, it has excerpts of the past.

Manish Wadhwa roped in for Life OK's upcoming Mahakumbh

Now Tellychakkar.com has got information about an exclusive development in the show. Due to prior commitments Rajesh has moved out of the show and the talented Manish Wadhwa (Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon…Ek Baar Phir) has been roped in to replace the actor.

According to our sources the actor will portray the lead’s (Gautam) dad.

The show has a very intriguing storyline with Gautam and some other characters having superpowers.

Also with each characters connected with a back story, the show is said to be a one of a kind.
When contacted Manish, he said, “Yes, I am doing the show but I cannot share anything about my character.”

Yasser Nomani to feature in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya

Actor Yasser Nomani is a young lad who is working hard to have a firm footing in the TV industry as an actor. Originally hailing from Allahabad, Yasser has been a frequent performer in theater and play activities in his college. Modelling has always been a passion for him. He set foot first in the ‘Land of Dreams’, Mumbai 3-4 months back with an aspiration to become an actor.

His first role in television happened to be an important episodic role in MTV’s Gumrah, post which he has recently shot for an episodic story of Zing’s Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.

In an upcoming story of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Yasser will be seen playing the right hand man to the main lead boy, played by Jeet Soni. He will be the catalyst in getting him the love of his life.

Yasser states, “This role in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya is a very interesting role for me; I play the role of
Bunty, who is very close to the male lead.”

Ssumier, Karina and Nishant in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya

In this week’s episode, Zing’s popular love based show Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya is all set to bring an interesting love story focusing on a conservative Muslim family based in Lucknow.

Starring in this Lost Boy Productions’ show will be Telugu film actress Karina Shah and the good looking Nishant Raghuwanshi (Pavitra Rishta). They will be seen as Malika and Sohail respectively. Giving the lovebirds a hard time will be the versatile Ssumier S Pasricha (Sasural Simar Ka) as Rehman, the strict brother-in-law of Malika.

Shares a source, “Rehman would love Malika like her daughter and would be very protective about her. Although educated, the family would still be very conservative and all hell will break loose when the girl would fall in love with a guy in her college.”

The episode will focus how parents can sometime become villains when youngsters fall in love.

We spoke to Ssumier who said, “I haven’t played such an intense role till now and was really excited for it. The look is also very different and since I play a Muslim I got to don all traditional Pathanis and mouth Urdu words for the episode. The production team is very supporting and I really enjoyed the overall experience.”

Harssh and Juhi to play an 'imperfect couple' in a perfect love story of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya

There is no perfect couple; only perfect relationships build by imperfect people.

Proving the above lines true, Harssh Rajput and Juhi Aslam will be bringing out a must watched special episode of Zing’s Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (Lost Boy Productions).

Juhi as viewers would know suffers from dwarfism and stands quite short. But that has never proved to be a deterrent in getting roles for this talented actress.

After playing the lead in Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo, the girl was seen in shows like The Serial, Qubool Hai and Jodha Akbar.

In the above episode, she will be seen playing a young girl with millions dreams and a hope to experience a ‘fairytale’ romance in her life. But her height would make her apprehensive of trusting people. Encouraged by her friends, the girl would log on to social networking profile and find a true friend in a guy (Harssh).

Her first meeting with her friend would turn out to be completely opposite to what the girl would have fantasized about.

Will this leave the girl shattered? Or will love find a way in their lives?

When we called Harssh he said, “This is a very different story and I had a superb time shooting for the episode. Personally I also believe that physical attributes do not hold much when love is strong and this beautiful story of love and friendship will portray the same.”

Parag Chadha and Anupriya Goenka in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya

Charismatic Parag Chadha (Splitsvilla season 3 winner) and Anupriya Goenka (Bobby Jasoos) will
be seen in an upcoming episodic of Zing’s Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya season 2 (Lost Boy Productions).

Parag will portray the role of biker who loves to race and live life on the edge. His profession would make his relationship with his family strain as they would be completely against it. To keep him away from racing his grandmother will take him to a ashram where he will meet Anupriya and soon will fall in love. Like all love stories, this one too will witness lots of ups and downs with a lot many twists.

Shared Parag, “Yes, I am shooting for the episode. The best part is that I am getting to play a character that is so close to the real me. I am very passionate about my bikes and thus it was super fun shooting for the show.”

Zing’s popular show Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, produced by Lost Boy Productions will depict a unique love tale featuring The Xpose actor Kunal Thakkur and Paanch fame Rashi Mal.

The love story between Siddhant (Kunal) and Alka (Rashi) will kick-start in the college where they would be studying together. The story will revolve around how Alka will go through something very shocking which will change her life. The manner in which Siddhant will stand by Alka through thick and thin, will form the crux of the story.

When contacted, Rashi Mal told Tellychakkar.com, “I play the very simple college-going girl. I have been given a very Indian look and attire, and this is what interested me in taking up this role. I will not want to divulge the story line, as I don’t want to spoil the fun of watching it for the audience.”
Kunal Thakkur told us, “It was great fun working with the unit of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. It is a very exceptional story line, and I play the typical hero in it.”

This particular episode which will go on air on 24 October will be the Diwali special episode.

Avinash Mukherjee and Sehrish Ali in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya

Zing's popular show Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (Lost Boy Productions) will see another cute love story, having Meerut and Mumbai as backdrops.

Sehrish Ali (Diya Aur Baati Hum fame) will be play a small town girl who will aspire to become an actress. She will move to Mumbai from Meerut but as a married girl. Her dream city will turn out to be a sad experience as she will try hard to get adjusted to the city life.

She will also detest her husband, played by Avinash Mukherjee, as she would hold her responsible for her shattered dreams and ambitions.

Shares a source, "The story will make people realise that sometimes the things we hate are not always bad for us."

But will love take course and change her feelings? Will her dreams take her away from her responsibility?

The episode will air this Friday.

Furthermore, the cast of Sonali Cable will be seen promoting their movie in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.

Actress Riya from the flick will be seen in some of the scenes in the above episode.


Isha Chawla, Karan Chhabra and Harpreet Chhabra in Zing's Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya

This week on Zing’s popular show Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (Lost Boy Productions) gear up to see an interesting story about a young college stud whose life will change when he will get involved in a bet
with his girlfriend.

The leads in the episode will be played by Karan Chhabra (Heropanti), Isha Chawla (MTV Fanaah) and newbie Harpreet Chhabra. Karan’s character will be the college hottie who would have no place for true love in his life. But a bet by his girlfriend will see him participating in a dance competition, where life will change for him completely.

Shares a source, “The episode is a dance based one where passion and physicality will get a new high in the story. It’s a beautiful story of love and how it can change a person completely.”

Puru Chibber and Priya Chauhan to feature in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya

Earlier in the day we reported about Isha Chawla, Karan Chhabra and Harpreet Chhabra being a part of Zing’s Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (Lost Boy Productions), now we have details about its next episode featuring handsome hunk Puru Chibber and the pretty Priya Chauhan in a very interesting love tale..
Puru who was last seen in Zee TV’s Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se will play a typical gangster who would get into the rough and tough ways in achieving his goals. However, the character Chandu will have a heart of gold.

Kanika, essayed by Priya will be a very studious college student who would be full of life. Being a cop’s daughter, the girl will be fearless in her attitude, and will have the heart to help people out.
The story will trace the journey of the gangster and this girl from college who would come face to face owing to situations, only to fall in love with each other.

When contacted, Puru confirmed that he will be seen in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.

Priya who was last seen playing a waitress in Yeh Hai Aashiqui also confirmed the news.
