&TV's Badii Devrani to go off air; Adhuri Kahani Hamari to replace

&TV’s Badii Devrani (Shashi-Sumeet Productions) is the next one to bite the dust on the channel!!
Well, the news coming in is that the recently revamped show will shut shop on 13 November. The team will shoot its finale shot on 5 or 6 November, is what we hear.

For the uninitiated, the show which had Mudit Nayyar and Megha Chakraborthy as leads, went in for a huge twist with the death of the male lead Vibhor. This brought in the seasoned actor Aamir Dalvi as the new lead of the show.

However, within days of the revamp, the channel has decided to pull the plug off it.

As per reliable sources, Badii Devrani will be replaced by 4 Lions Films’ re-incarnation saga, Adhuri Kahani Hamari from 16 November.

When contacted, Megha confirmed the news saying, “Yes, the show is ending on 13 November. We got to 
know of it officially yesterday (30 October).”

We tried buzzing the channel spokesperson, but did not get through to them.

Talented actress Seema pandey known for her portrayal in serials like Sapne Suhane Ladakpan ke, Dil Dosti Dua and numerous films is all set to be back in a fun avatar.

The actor has been roped in for a fun character in DJs A Creative Unit’s Sumit Sambhal Lega on Star Plus.
Seema will play the character of Pavitra, Rajneesh’s mother in law. Talented face Muni Jha will play her husband.

Shared a source, “With Rajneesh’s wedding being planned, the two actors will make an entry in the show. 
The two would also hold importance in the next season of the series.”

Seema confirmed her entry but did not speak much about her character.

We could not reach Muni for his comment.

Would've loved Ajay as host of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi': Tanishaa Mukerji

Actress Tanishaa Mukerji, who is set to explore her adventurous side once again after "Bigg Boss 7" with "Khatron Ke Khiladi", says she would have loved to have her brother-in-law as a host of the action-adventure reality show. Nevertheless, she finds the show's host Arjun Kapoor "really cute".

The new season of "Khatron Ke Khiladi" has actor Arjun Kapoor as the host. In the past, Akshay Kumar, 
Priyanka Chopra and "Singham" director Rohit Shetty have hosted editions of the popular show, in which celebrities face their fears at an international destination.

In an interview to IANS, Tanishaa said: "I would have loved him (Ajay Devgn) to host it, but the Colors team would not get him in my season (laughs). You can't push Ajay to do anything... he is the Singham! 

Maybe, next year or so we will see him hosting... you never know."

Tanishaa is still happy to have Arjun as the show's host.

"I think he is really cute. I like the way he talks, and he is well connected with the youth. I think he will do excellent work," she said.

The show will go on air on Colors early next year, and the team will be shooting for it in Argentina.

The actress, the younger sister of Kajol, says she has jumped into the show without giving it a second thought.

"More than being excited, I'm really nervous. Honestly, sometimes I jump (into things) without thinking, and I feel I have jumped into 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' without thinking," Tanishaa said.

"I'm very adventurous... I went on 'Bigg Boss', and that shows my spirit. How much more adventurous one can be," she quipped.

This year, 14 contestants, including actors Sidharth Shukla, Vivan Bhatena, Sana Saeed, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij, model Parvathy Omanakuttan, Indian hockey player Yuvraj Walmiki, telly actors Aishwarya Sakhuja, Tina Dutta and Himanshoo Malhotra, and dancers Faisal Khan, Mukti Mohan and Raghav Juyal will feature in the show with Tanishaa.

'Khatron Ke Khiladi' packs more power for new season 

“Khatron Ke Khiladi” will make a comeback on the small screen with more action and a bundle of new surprises! With a new host Arjun Kapoor and a new place - Argentina - celebrities including Jay Bhanushali, Sidharth Shukla and "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded" winner Faisal Khan will be adding power to the upcoming season of the stunt-based reality show.

With an underlying theme ‘Kabhi Peeda, Kabhi Keeda’, 14 celebrity contestants will overcome their fears when faced with extreme situations, confronted with danger and challenges in the show, an adaptation of the American television show "Fear Factor".

Apart from Jay, Sidharth and Faisal, other contestants taking a plunge into the danger zone of the show are Jay's wife Mahhi Vij, former Miss India Parvathy Omanakuttan, actors Tanishaa Mukerji, Sana Saeed, Himmanshoo Malhotra, Aishwarya Sakhuja, Tina Dutta, Vivan Bhatena, Indian hockey player Yuvraj Walmiki and dancing stalwarts Mukti Mohan and Raghav Juyal.

To be shot in the picturesque location of Buenos Aires, Argentina in early November, the show will find a way to the television on Colors channel early next year.

Arjun is making his debut to the small screen space with the show, which has been hosted by Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty and Priyanka Chopra in the past.

But the “Gunday” actor is not bothered by comparisons.

Arjun told IANS: "I think the audience won't tend to compare...With Akshay and me, the age group is different...I don't think there will be a major comparison that way. He's (Akshay) somebody who has achieved a lot in his life. Rohit is also another fantastic personality, and I have my unique personality."

Cricketer Shoaib Malik & Sania Mirza seems to have been approached for Sony TV's upcoming show...

Sony TV's upcoming show 'Power Couple' would soon be on air and the promos of the show look quite promising! The channel has already roped in several popular couples like Pratyusha Banerjee & Rahul Raj Singh, Ashmit Patel and Mahek Chachal, Aamir Ali Malik & Sanjeeda Shaikh and many more are yet to join lead. As we know that the show would be hosted by the well known couple from bollywood, Malaika Arora Khan and Arbaaz Khan.

Now we hear that the popular Tennis player Sania Mirza and Cricketer Shoaib Malik might be a part of the show.

One of our source, close to the show shares with us that the channel has approached Sania and Shoaib to be a part of the show. However, the couple has not responded to the proposal as of now.

Well, it would be really interesting to watch them on a reality show. 'Power Couple' would showcase ten such couples who would be judged on their ability to deal with mental, practical and emotional factors that are maintained under tensed conditions.

Zee TV's Kaala Teeka

Zee TV’s primetime offering Kaala Teeka questioned age-old superstitions and endeavoured to create awareness against them amongst the masses. The show struck a chord with television audiences and was ardently followed by its loyal viewers in the course of its glorious run. The show is now set to bid adieu to its ardent viewers on 14th April. Having kept them glued to the tube for 1 year and 6 months, the show ends at the peak of its popularity.

Kaala Teeka has progressed with the gripping narratives of the lives of three generations of the Thakur family. The show started with a stellar cast of veteran actors like Mita Vashisht, Bhupinder Singh, Daljeet Kaur and two child artistes Adaa Narang as Gauri and Sargam Khurana as Kaali. The show captured the journey of a girl child Kaali who was treated as a human Kaala Teeka for another child Gauri and was expected to shadow her everywhere for the well-being of the latter.

This regressive, superstitious belief of using one child’s presence merely to ward off evil influences from another posed several obstacles in the former’s path of growth and overall development. How Kaali overcomes these setbacks and rises above her role of a human Kaala Teeka and comes into her own formed the crux of its first chapter.

After its second leap, the show saw Kali and Gauri grow up to be young ladies played by Simran Pareenja and Fenil Umrigar and it captured the dynamics between them and their love interest Yug played by Rohan Gandotra.

Following yet another generation leap, the show saw an all-new story and a new star cast with Parag Tyagi, Sukirti Khandpal, Karan Sharma stepping in and only Simran Pareenja continuing as the show’s constant leading lady.

Speaking on the show’s closure, Simran Pareenja who is currently seen playing the role of Pavitra said, “I am genuinely happy that Kaala Teeka happened to me. This show has given me recognition and I have enjoyed being a part of it. I have made some very good friends like Daljeet (Kaur) and Fenil (Umrigar). I have seen many leaps in the show and emotionally I am very attached to it and will surely miss shooting for it.” She also added, “From playing a 20 year old girl to a mother, I have got a chance to explore my abilities as an actor. I’ve learnt to speak Bhojpuri and even performed a lot of difficult stunts on my own. I will remember this phase, this show forever. I am glad the makers aren’t dragging the storyline as it loses the charm of its plot so it’s better to end the show on a high.”

Karan Sharma who plays the role of Krishna, shared, “Though the journey was short but enjoyed playing the role of Krishna. I bonded very well with the entire cast especially Parag Tyagi. I am sad that show is coming to an end. Hope to be back soon on small screen.”

So how will Kaala Teeka come to an end?

As per our sources, Naina will accept Pavitra as her sister. She would agree to Pavitra and Krishna’s relationship and will decide to leave the village and go back to city.

On her way, she would meet with an accident. Later, they will be asked to do rituals for her late mother Kaali, to stay away from negative energy.
At last, Naina will agree to stay along with Pavitra and Krishna.
The newest project Sethji will take the place of Kaala Teeka from 17 April.

 

 

 

'Kaala Teeka': A TV show against superstitions

In an attempt to take a dig at the superstitions that people often follow in their day-to-day lives, Zee TV is coming up with a new show "Kaala Teeka", which is touted to break the shackles of age-old superstitions and spread awareness against them amongst the masses.

Set against the backdrop of Mithila, Bihar, "Kaala Teeka", which will start on November 2, will feature the story of two young girls whose lives are entwined by an act of superstition.

The show captures the journey of a girl-child Kaali (Sargam Khurana) who is treated as a human 'Kaala Teeka' for another child Gauri (Adaa Narang) and is expected to shadow her everywhere for the well-being of the latter.

"Kaala Teeka" captures one of the worst form of superstitions - personification. It showcases Kaali’s journey of hope as she overcomes these challenges and enables Gauri to find her true self. She also reaches out to her own aspirations and ambitions in life and becomes an inspiration to others.

“As a responsible broadcaster, our programming content has always attempted to mould public mindset and create awareness about pertinent social issues. With 'Kaala Teeka', the objective is to sensitise audiences to question age-old beliefs and define their own limits to blindly following superstitions in their lives to bring about a progressive shift in their mindset,” Zee TV business head Pradeep Hejmadi said in a statement.

The show also stars Mita Vasisht, Daljeet Kaur Bhanot and Bhupinder Singh.

Criminal Minds Season 10 premieres on Star World

The tenth season of Criminal Minds is all set to premiere on Star World this Thursday, Oct 29.

The premiere episode will see Blake returning to Boston to teach full-time and Prentiss declining the request to return due to which, Hotch is interviewing for the vacancy on the team. Who he hires is a known entity to the team, namely Kate Callahan. Her first case working for the BAU takes them to Bakersfield, California, where three human torsos have been found in deserted locales within the past month - one male and two females. The team soon discovers that the unsub has sold some of the limbs on the black market. Those sales and the identities of the victims may provide some clues as to the unsub's identity and location.

Speaking about her journey over the past 10 years, A.J Cook who plays the character Jennifer J.J. Jareau said, “Yeah, just looking back at how much JJ's grown and changed.  I mean, I've literally grown up on screen for the whole world to see. You know, that first episode I'm in, like, a pink blazer.  I look like FBI Barbie, and it's ridiculous.”

Adding further ‘Dr. Spencer Reid’ a.k.a Matthew Gray Gubler said, “We're part of a really lucky group of actors that get to play a single character for, like, a decade. And I think one of the special things about our show, and the reason it has an appeal, is it's important, I think, for TV characters to grow. And a lot of times, you know, in the old days, in the TV that I grew up with in the 1980s, the characters were always kind of stuck in time and didn't allow for a lot of growth, maybe.”

With our readers gearing up for Karva Chauth celebrations, TV shows are also in the mood to observe this festival.

Loyal viewers of &TV’s popular sitcom Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai (Edit II) will witness the glory of love and fun, between the couples in the coming sequence.

Our source informs us that both the ladies Anita (Saumya Tandon) and Angoori (Shilpa Shinde) will observe Karwa Chauth for their respective partners. But, the fun part will be that the men, Vibhuti (Aashif Sheikh) and Tiwari (Rohitashv Gour) will also fast for their loving wives.

However, later during the day, Saxena and Ladoo will eat in front of Vibhuti and Tiwari which will irritate both the gentlemen.

Will Vibhuti and Tiwari manage to keep the day long fast? What do you think readers?

We are already aware of Laksh Lalwani and Mahima Makwana playing the leads. Senior actors Gajendra Chauhan and Pragati Mehra, have joined the cast to play vital roles.

Now, we hear of Nitin Sahrawat and Kavita Ghai being roped in.

For Nitin, this will be his second show with 4 Lions Films. He plays the role of the super star Naseer, Additi 
Malik’s husband in Qubool Hai. Kavita Ghai was last seen in the role of Piyali Khanna in Dosti… Yaariyaan… Manmarziyaan.

As per credible sources, “Nitin will play the younger brother of the Raja Sahab, Gajendra Chauhan. Being the young prince of the royal kingdom, the man will have a lot of attitude. He will have a mysterious element in his outlook and behaviour. Kavita will play Nitin’s wife, and will have a negative shade to portray.”

Zee TV’s Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani

Gear up for a shocking twist in Zee TV’s Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani (Sphereorigins).
As per reports in media, the above drama is set to go off air on 4 July. But before it bids adieu, the makers have planned an intriguing track which will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
Recently, Raja (Sarrtaj Gill) took revenge from Vikram (Fahad Ali) by killing him, as he had molested his sister Sakshi (Nidhi Uttam).
Vikram’s mother Vasundara (Parineeta Borthakur) will now turn a deadly vamp and plot a vicious plan to end Raja’s life.
What’s her plan?
As per our sources, Vasundara will set Raja on fire leaving Rani (Eisha Singh) and other members in a shock.
What will Rani do now?

Zee TV’s Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani (ETRETR) lead actress Eisha Singh considers herself lucky for being a part of the show.

Eisha, who rose to fame with Ishq Ka Rang Safed, got opportunity to play not one, two but three different types of roles in the soap.

After playing Rani and Naina, the actress is currently seen portraying the role of bold Rani, which is
totally different from her previous avatars.

In a chat with Tellychakkar.com, Eisha shared, “I feel fortunate to be a part of ETRETR. I am glad that I got the opportunity to play such different characters in it. All my three avatars have been varied and I enjoyed playing them all.”

When asked, how she manages to play different characters every time with same conviction, she replied, “Well, it comes naturally to me but my current role of Rani is very much similar to me in real life. I forget about my previous roles and start with a new beginning. I feel like I am part of a new show. The best part of playing different avatars, is that you get to dress up differently.”

Zee TV’s Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani (Sphereorigins) stepped into the reincarnation mode recently.
Now, Tellychakkar.com had exclusively reported about the show taking a fresh start with season 3.
As per the plot, Rani (Eisha Singh) has re-born as a fearless and bindaas person who likes clubbing and loves her independent mom, while Raja is now known as Raj (Sarrtaj Gill), who has been hired as Rani's bodyguard.

In the show, Rani hates boys and is quite pissed with her mom for getting a bodyguard for her safety. She will now plot a plan to teach Raj a lesson and send him off from her life.

In the coming episodes, she would ask the vegetarian Raj to eat non vegetarian food. Rani would think that if she will harasses him, he will leave the job and go away. But surprisingly, Raj will eat non-veg food, leaving Rani in a shock.

Every middle class family dreams of owning a four wheeler and the Ahujas’ are no different! Their mundane life takes an interesting turn when they get home their first ever car, a ‘Maruti Alto 800’. With a never seen before concept on Indian television, this narrative is a unique one as it traces the relationship that an individual - Karan Ahuja played by Romit Raj shares with his vehicle. ‘Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi Let’s Go!’ premiers on October 28th at 7: 30 pm on SAB TV.

The show chronicles the journey of the Ahuja family and how their life turns exciting when they purchase their very first car. Mr. Ahuja who has been working in a bank’s car loan department has always wished for his own car but he has not been able to save enough to make his dream come true. On his 50th birthday, his family decides to gift him a Maruti Alto 800. And, that’s when the adventure begins! Ahuja’s son, Karan starts hearing voices and statements from his family car, only to realise that nobody except him can hear those sounds. Karan takes advantage of this situation and decides to make the car his constant conversation companion.

That’s not all! Due to the relationship Karan shares with the car; it also helps him resolve day to day problems at home and helps him come out of situations thereby bringing his family closer.

Navina Bole to play a ‘hot cop’ for Zee TV’s next

Now, we hear that talented and gorgeous Navina Bole has also been finalized to play an interesting role.

As we know, this yet untitled show will be inspired from the movie Chamatkaar wherein the lead girl’s father will return as a friendly ghost to help his family. However, the twist in the show will be that this basic concept will be woven amidst the backdrop of a set of cops and a police setup.

As per a reliable source, “Navina Bole who was last seen in Big Magic’s Boyz will play the role of the SI in the police station. She will be the hot cop managing duties in a rather comic manner.”

We tried calling Navina, but did not get through to her.

As reported earlier, the show is all set to go on floors by the 30th of this month, and will launch as a bi-weekly in November end on Zee TV.

The beauty who has carved an image of a sweet, simple and caring lady through her on screen role says that through Siya she gets to play different shades.

“I am not just playing Sita but different avatars through my character. I am a wife, bahu, daughter, sister-in-law and many more. With each avatar I am living my dream. It’s a beautiful feeling portraying such a wonderful role,” said Madirakshi.

When asked about fans' love she shared, “I am overwhelmed with love and respect. I have come across fans who think I am a goddess and worship me. Recently, I had donned the avatar of goddess Laxmi in the show. And post that when I went out in public, people started coming up to me and asked for blessings. The overall experience made me overwhelmed with emotions sometimes.”

Talking about her favourite actress on TV, Madirakshi averred, “I used to hardly watch TV because of my busy schedule. But I really liked Smriti Irani. She was one of the best actresses on TV.”

Sudesh Berry is an actor of supreme class!! His body language, conviction in the given role and his strong dialogue delivery has always come to the fore in his performances, on both the big screen as well as small screen.
Now, the seasoned performer will be seen donning the role of the mighty warrior Parashuram, in Star Plus’ magnum opus show, Siya Ke Ram (Triangle Films Productions).
This week will see the grand entry of Sudesh Berry in the above-said avatar.

Parashuram’s thunderous entry will come as a shocker for the kingdom of Mithila wherein people will think that the warrior is all set to end King Janak’s life.

The sequence will see Sita for the first time, lifting the Shiv Dhanush to protect her father. However, she will end up getting the blessings of Parashuram, who will reveal to King Janak that Sita’s destiny is in fact related to the bow.

When contacted, Sudesh talked about his grand entry sequence and called it as a “masterpiece of a scene, 
shot exactly like a film.”

Talking further, the actor said, “I have always got the best of roles, and I see to it that I give my best. Even when the same people offered me the role of Mani Malla in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, my entry helped the ratings. And this time too, a lot has been put into my introductory sequence.”
This role of Parashuram is something special for Sudesh, as he will for the very first time sport a beard.

Said the actor, “I have never worn a beard all through my career, barring one movie called Khafila which was the biggest mistake of my career. So I will consider this as the very first time. Yes, I do not like wearing a beard or a moustache. I always prefer to grow my own beard and moustache for a role. However, Siya Ke Ram happened very fast as I had to start shoot immediately. So I had no other option but to sport a fake beard. The beard truly makes me uncomfortable. But overall, I am enjoying this stint.”

Gangaa actor bags a role in Siya Ke Ram

Tellychakkar.com was the first to inform readers about Star Plus’ upcoming show Siya Ke Ram (Triangle films).

The mytho drama will present Ramayan from Sita’s perspective.

As reported by us, Ashish Sharma and Madirakshi Mundle will be seen as Ram and Sita.

Now our sources have informed that Gangaa fame Vedant Sawant has also been signed for the show.

Share a source, “He will be seen enacting the role of the teenage Ram. The actor is currently shooting for the same in Hyderabad.”

When contacted, Vedant confirmed the development.

'Siya Ke Ram' to be shot in Sri Lanka

The team of the upcoming mythological TV show “Siya Ke Ram” will be soon travelling to Sri Lanka to shoot the exterior portions of the kingdom of Raavan, which will be played by actor Jayaram Karthik.

The shoot will happen in December once the locations are locked.

“The show is getting shot at various locations in and around India. We have just finished shooting some portions in Bhuj and will be going to Bhutan very soon,” said a source from Triangle Productions.

“The idea is to get out and shoot at the untouched locations that mother nature has to offer. We want to give authentic look and feel when we showcase Raavan's house hence, a team will be shooting in Sri Lanka for that,” the source added.

"Siya Ke Ram", which will be aired on Star Plus, will bring a fresh perspective on "Ramayan”.

The show will feature actors like Dalip Tahil, Bijay Anand, Grusha Kapoor, Aashish Sharma, Karan Suchak, Bhargavi Chirmule, Snigdha Akolkar and Sampada Vaze.

Newcomer Madirakshi will be seen as Sita.

Sujay Reu turns ‘Bharat’ for Star Plus’ Siya Ke Ram

Talented and handsome Sujay Reu was recently in the headlines for his breezy love affair that has been going strong with his Shastri Sisters co-star, Neha Pednekar.

Now comes the news of Sujay’s next big role in a TV show.

Well, here is yet another exclusive piece of information coming from the magnum-opus Star Plus show, Siya Ke Ram which is being shot at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

As per reliable sources, “Sujay has been roped in by the makers of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, Triangle Films for the role of Bharat, the sacrificing brother of Lord Ram.”

We tried calling Sujay, but he remained out of reach.

We dropped a text message to Producer Nikhil Sinha, but did not get any revert.

As we know, Sujay played the role of Rohan in Shastri Sisters. He has earlier been part of shows Ram Milaayi Jodi, Alakshmi.

Siya Ke Ram is the new serial which is produced by Nikhil Sinha under the banner of Triangle Films, who has launched a mythological show Mahabharat. Now he is all set to launch a one more new show titled as "Siya Ke Ram". After the success of Mahabharat, an unseen version of the Ramayan, Siya Ke Ram is coming soon only on STAR Plus.

Plot/Story

The new serial Siya Ke Ram is based on the story of Lord Ram. In the show Ramayan, audience has only looked Ram's perspective but this show will highlight Sita's perspective. The show will showcase the journey of Ram and Sita and their love story. The main plot is taken from the book "Ramayana" written by Tulsidas.

 

Star Cast

Ashish Sharma of Rangrasiya fame, will be seen as Lord Rama. Midarakshi Mundle will play role as Sita. In the promo the little girl who plays Sita looks quite awesome. It should be noted that the styling of the characters in Siya Ke Ram is quite simple and have a touch of authenticity about it. The ensemble cast also includes Tanvi Madhyan, Prithvi Hatte, Bijay Anand, Yukti Kapoor and Bhargavi Chirmule. The background score is also decent.

The new promo of the show is not less than any VFX movie. It opens with the sight of a lush coniferous forest and it is a pleasant sight. It looks like the makers are much attentive to the VFX and it has come out well. Shots of the sweeping landscape make the promo more spectacular. Post leap, Sonal Vengurlekar to play the lead in Yeh Vaada Raha

This is television industry and things change overnight!!!

Couple of days back, we wrote about Zee TV’s Yeh Vaada Raha (Trishula Productions) taking a generation leap soon. Post which, the makers had roped in newbie Shanice Shrestha as the replacement of Roshni Walia.

Roshni, didn’t wish to play a mature role at this age, and thus opted out of the show.

But now, we have learnt that the makers have finalized Shastri Sister’s Sonal Vengurlekar as the lead; after the deal fell out with Shanice.

The charming young actress will be seen portraying the role of Survi opposite Kartik (Ankush Arora). Post the leap, Survi will be shown to be an extremely mature girl, who would be hiding her feelings for Kartik, as she would be under cover with a new identity.

When we buzzed Sonal, she shared, “Yes, I have been approached, but nothing is finalized yet.”

We have also got to know that the actress has already shot for the promos and it will air this weekend.

The story jump will take place by next week.

Gaurav Bajpai to enter Zee TV's Yeh Vaada Raha

Actor Gaurav Bajpai, a talent unearthed by Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj will now enter the Zee TV show, Yeh Vaada Raha (Trishula Productions).

Gaurav who has done shows like Kaali and Jee Le Zara has been roped in to play a very important character, is what we hear. His character, named Pyaare Mohan Tripathi Aazamgadia, will be brought into the house by Taayi (Rinku Karmarkar).

As per a reliable source, “The guy would look to be a simple and naïve person. But he will be quite smart in nature, and would eventually be the only one to give it back to the strong and aggressive Taayi.”

We hear that Gaurav’s character will go on to be the love interest of Hema, Karthik’s sister.

When contacted, Gaurav confirmed the news, but refused to divulge further details.

Gaurav has started shoot for the show, and his introduction has been shot on a grand scale. He will be seen entering later this week.

Vrajesh Hirjee, the newlywed actor is again in news!!           

Yes, soon after getting into nuptial vows with girl friend Rohini Bannerjee, Vrajesh has taken up a plump cameo role in SAB TV’s Hum Aapke Ghar Mein Rehte Hain (Shashi-Sumeet Productions).

As per reliable sources, “His character name will be Chandu, and he will be a director by profession. He will be the uncle of Pinki (Zalak Desai).”

When contacted, Vrajesh confirmed the news with Tellychakkar.com, saying “Yes, I have started shoot for Hum Aapke Ghar… It is a nice and interesting cameo role. However, I am not aware of the number of episodes I will be featured in.”

We hear that the entire family will get into an obsession to act, and will go on to please the director in their own way, to get a role in his movie.

Sony TV’s Parvarrish 2 wraps up shoot

Sony Entertainment Television’s Pravarrish 2 that began off on a good note will now be shutting shop next month.

Pravarrish 2 has been lacking in ratings and now the channel has decided to pull the plug off the show. The soap will air its last episode on 18 July.

As already informed by Tellychakkar.com, the channel will air Suryaputra Karn (Swastik Production) and Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan (Contiloe) for 45 minutes to take up the slot.

Actress Meenakshi Sethi and the popular Sangeeta Ghosh had a great mother-daughter association in Sony 
TV's Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara.

Now the two talented actresses will bond again on the sets of Parrvarish 2, the upcoming DJ's A Creative Unit's show on Sony TV.

Yes, Meenakshi Sethi has joined the cast of Parrvarish 2 and will play the mother-in-law of Sangeeta this time around.

As per credible sources, Meenakshi will be a typical 'saas' in the Punjabi household.  She will be a talkative lady, capable of bitching around. However she will be a positive character.

When contacted, Meenakshi confirmed the news, "Yes I am back to Sony TV and the interesting aspect is that I get to share screen space with Sangeeta again."

As we know, Sangeeta Ghosh and Sandeep Baswana will play a couple and will have a son and daughter.

#PromoReview: Sony TV's Parvarrish Season 2 is relatable, and how!

All those familiar with Parvarrish’s first season would know the basic premise of the series. It revolves around two families who do their best to give their kids the best parvarish (upbringing) amid the various ups and downs of life.

Taking that plot forward is the second instalment of Sony TV’s Parvarrish season 2, which has a fresh cast and an even interesting take on the kids-parents equilibrium.  The promo opens with Gautami Kapoor, who plays an overprotective mom whose only concern is her daughter’s well-being (just like our mommies, no?) Her husband, played by Vinay Jain, is a complete contrast who lets his daughter have fun and figure life out on her own (again, reminds of our daddy cool, eh?)

This typical setting is a throwback to our parents and an ode to their struggles. If the scene doesn’t take you on a nostalgic trip, you’ve been living your childhood wrong. The beautiful balance of a protective mum and a laid-back dad, who battle it out in the best interest of their daughter makes this promo a relatable one.

The daughter, a rebellious teen who loves her phone more than her eavesdropping mom, could be anybody of us! Gautami is a natural, while Vinay plays the cool dad to the T...and we can’t wait to watch the series unfold with all its bitter and sweet moments.

What we really loved about the promo was the bit when Gautami tried to peek into her laadli beti’s phone, but quickly withdrew herself when her daughter gave her the eyes. Ha! So natural, effortless and typical. Without any dialogues, the mother-daughter duo tell us everything there’s to know about their special bond. Parents will always watch our backs, no matter what.

If you’re living away from home, you’re in for a tearjerker of a soap. The show goes on air in November.

Dashrath to create a rift between Viplav-Dhaani in Colors' Ishq Ka Rang Safed

Colors’ Ishq Ka Rang Safed (FilmFarm India) has been witnessing the ups and downs in the lives of Viplav (Mishal Raheja) and Dhaani (Eisha Singh). And just at the moment when Dhaani will begin to feel that nothing can go wrong with the ashram in the presence of Viplav, there will be a major misunderstanding created between them.

In the episodes to come, Dashrath (Arun Bakshi) and Kanak (Kajal Nishad) will join hands to create a rift between Viplav and Dhaani.

And the root cause of it has been seen in yesterday’s episode, with a person stealing the ashram papers from Dhaani.

Dashrath will now play a foul game and will create circumstances for Dhaani to believe that Viplav has a hand in the ashram fiasco.

As per a reliable source, “Dashrath will put it in Dhaani’s mind that Viplav owns the ashram and has been staying in the ashram to get a hold of it.”

Hearing this, Dhaani we hear, will be shaken from within.

“Being a social drama, Ishq Ka Rang Safed, will also showcase Dhani’s intense pain of being a victim to unjust social custom. The sequence will wonderfully depict how on one hand, our society worships mother goddess, who symbolizes power and strength and on other hand, makes women victim of many ill social practices.”
