Shooting last episode of 'Pavitra Rishta' was emotional for Sushant and Ankita

Sushant Singh Rajput, who returned to his hit TV serial Pavitra Rishta (Balaji Telefilms) to shoot its last episode earlier this week (news reported exclusively by Tellychakkar.com), felt emotional as it was this show which not just gave a push to his career, but also helped him find his ladylove Ankita Lokhande.

On Tuesday, Sushant returned to the long-running soap Pavitra Rishta, in which he played the protagonist Manav Deshmukh for two-and-a-half years before he quit.

The actor, who has since then moved to cinema to become one of the sought-after actors in Bollywood, says returning to the show was like a homecoming.

“This is where it all started. This is where my journey began. I carried a part of my character Manav with me even when I moved on. When I was invited to be part of the serial’s final episode, I immediately jumped at it without a second thought. To be part of farewell episode of the serial that I look back on with such fondness, is a privilege and honour," he said.

The homecoming, as Sushant calls it, was very emotional for both Sushant and his girlfriend Ankita.

“She has been a part of Pavitra Rishta much longer than me. Now that we shot the last episode, Ankita has been very emotional for the past few days. It is very difficult for her to tear herself away from something that has been part of her life for nearly five years," he said.

Sushant admits Ankita was a big incentive for his return to Pavitra Rishta for a final shot.

“This is where it all started. My career, and more importantly my relationship with Ankita started with Pavitra Rishta. It’s significant that the serial is called that, because my rishta (relationship) with the this serial is very pavitra (pure).”

Saying no to the final episode of Pavitra Rishta was out of the question for Sushant for another reason.
"I owe my acting career to producer Ekta Kapoor. If she had not given me a break in Pavitra Rishta I wouldn't have been an actor. Shooting for the last time for the serial was a very emotional experience for me."
In no way does Sushant feel a television appearance to be a climb down in his stardom.

“If I felt that, I wouldn’t have been there on Tuesday shooting for Pavitra Rishta. In no way do I feel television is a smaller medium. For me, the size of the screen doesn’t matter. I just need to be in front of camera. And you know what? Even if there is no camera and you tell me to act I’ll still give a hundred percent of my concentration to the shot,” said the Kai Po Che actor.
Sushant sees no difference between the film and television medium.

“We must stop looking at television as a stepping stone to cinema. Look at America. Some of their biggest stars are products of television.”

Manav and Archana to die; Hiten to make an early exit to accommodate Sushant in Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta

Balaji Telefilms’ Pavitra Rishta family on Zee TV has been entertaining audiences for over five years now!! And it is time for them to bid a teary farewell.

And as reported exclusively by Tellychakkar.com, Sushant Singh Rajput, the original Manav Damodar
Deshmukh will be seen for the one last time on the small screen, sharing screen space with his beloved Archana (Ankita Lokhande).

Well, with this good news comes a really sad news!! The last episode will see the death of Manav and Archana.

Yes, you heard it right!!

A highly credible source from the set told us, “The creative team had to take the call of bringing back the original Manav to wrap up proceedings. This only meant that Hiten Tejwani, who played the role of Manav for three years now had to be given an early exit. The last episode will see the death of Manav followed by Archana. And Sushant, the original Manav will be shown holding Archana’s hand post their death, thus indicating the union of two souls who have been very much in love. With this, Manav and Archana’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’ will continue to eternity.”

We hear that Sushant Singh will be shooting for the climax sequence tomorrow (7 October), and with it, the shoot of the long-running show will wrap up.

When contacted, Hiten Tejwani told us, “Yes, I will not be shooting for the finale sequences, as my track will end a bit earlier. These are creative calls that are taken, and every show that starts has to end. It is a bit upsetting to not be there to shoot on the final day, but guess the creative call was to end the show with the original Manav’s return.”
Guess this was a tough creative call to take!!

Kudos Pavitra Rishta: Show achieves the phenomenal feat of completing 1300 episodes

Balaji Telefilms’ long-running show Pavitra Rishta might have been moved from the prime-time spot (9pm) on Zee TV to an early evening slot (6.30pm), but the fire and enthusiasm of the entire team to do really well on the ratings chart has certainly not died down.

And today, the show completes the phenomenal feat of completing 1300 episodes.

The story which started with the love story of Manav and Archana has now gone on to witness quite a few generation leaps. But Manav (earlier played by Sushant Singh Rajput and now essayed by Hiten Tejwani) and Archana (Ankita Lokhande) remain as the pillars for the success of the show. Talented actors Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi along with a lot of young generation actors have taken the story forward. And now, actors like Karan Mehra, Ruhee Bagga, Manish Naggdev, Aparna Dixit, Karan Suchak are doing an equally good job.

Talking on the occasion, Ankita Lokhande told Tellychakkar.com, “It is a great honour to be part of Pavitra Rishta. I have seen many generation leaps happening in the show. And I am thankful to my fans for appreciating my work. I would ask them to look forward to the upcoming twists.”

Hiten Tejwani who essays the role of Manav expressed his happiness by saying, “Yes, 1300 is a phenomenal achievement. And we look forward to multiplying this number in the years to come. Pavitra Rishta is even now a widely watched show, and we are enthusiastic to deliver more.”

We tried calling Karan Mehra, but could not get through to him. Ekta Kapoor too remained unavailable.

The team of Pavitra Rishta is presently shooting the wedding of Pari (Ruhee Bagga) and Shekar (Karan Suchak). Hence, in their festive mood and attire, they will be celebrating the achievement with a cake-cutting ceremony later today.

Archana and Manav to get Ovi and Soham back in their lives in Pavitra Rishta

In the upcoming episodes of Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta (Balaji Telefilms), Archana (Ankita Lokhande) and Manav (Hiten Tejwani) will finally re-unite their family together.

As seen so far, Archana and Manav, who have been staying in the US for a very long time, have been trying to convince their kids to get back to India. Though the kids aren’t convinced yet, but they will soon agree to retreat to India.

Interestingly, this rich family will opt to stay in the same chawl where they began their life’s journey from. But the kids will be shocked to learn that they’d have to stay in a chawl. In fact, they will try hard to cope with their lives in a chawl.
Furthermore Archana and Manav will go looking out for Ovi (Shruti Kanwar) and Soham (Ankit Narang). And, not only will they manage to locate them but will also get them back home (to their chawl house).

Next they will also get Ankita (Ankita Lokhande) and Naren (Karan Mehra) to the same house. So will Shashank (Manish Naggdev) and Mansi (Arpana Dixit) also start living with them along with Ankita’s siblings?

Basically, on the whole, the comeback of Archana and Manav will bring the entire family together under the same roof.
But will their stay be a happy one?

If sources are to be believed, Soham’s drinking habit will create some ruckus in the family.

When we talked to Hiten, he said, “Yes, the entire family will once again stay under the same roof.”

Naren to turn normal; Ankita and Naren to consummate their relationship in Pavitra Rishta

Fans of Pavitra Rishta, the popular show on Zee TV can rejoice as they will get to see some breezy romance finally happening between the lead characters Ankita (Ankita Lokhande) and Naren (Karan Mehra).

Yes, the news coming in from the Balaji Telefilms show is that the lead couple will gear up for a big union in the days to come, by consummating their relationship.

So how will this happen? Does it mean that Naren will get better in health?

A source tells us that the track to come this week will see Naren getting completely alright when it comes to his mental health. And all the credit to this will go to his better-half, Ankita.

Our source elaborates, “Knowing that Naren is scared of fire, Ankita will create a situation before Naren wherein she will deliberately sit inside a car which is on fire, by risking her own life. The result will be that Ankita will get into a situation where she will almost be on the verge of getting burnt to death. Naren who will be watching all this, will in a moment’s rage jump into action, thus saving Ankita from the fire. This particular incident will transform Naren and make him normal.”

Dramatic, isn’t it? Well, if fans of Pavitra Rishta have been missing the flavour of ‘romance’ in the show, they will definitely get a dose of it very soon.

Soon, a very-much-in-love Naren will be seen romancing his girl Ankita. The creative team is presently also planning a consummation sequence between the couple.

Rithvik and Asha to quit Pavitra Rishta in December? 

This has been going for quite some time now and we are kind of bored with it. But news is news and we have to share it with our loyal readers.

The reports on real life couple Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi quitting Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) have been repeatedly flashed in the media.

And the latest is that they both have had a word with the producer of the show, Ekta Kapoor (Balaji Telefilms), and will part ways amicably from the project in the month of December.

Says a source: “Right now the plot focuses entirely on Ankita Lokhande post the leap. That is the need of the story and other actors don’t have much to do at this point of time. However, in the long run the focus will shift to all other characters. But many actors are running out of patience.”

The same source further added that Rithvik is confirmed to quit the show in December but Asha might continue, a decision which is in a state of limbo as of now.

We called up Rithvik but he chose not to comment on the subject. Asha, on the other hand, rejected the development labeling it as a mere rumour.

Let’s see when the quit drama finally comes to an end…

Pavitra Rishta to witness Ankita Lokhande in double role!

Manav (Hiten Tejwani), Archana (Ankita Lokhande) and their extended family on Pavitra Rishta is soon to take new turn when the show will take big-fat-generation-leap of 20 years. Interestingly, Ankita Lokhande will play double role. She will now essay the role of Ankita, Archana's 19 year old grand-daughter.

Archana will appear wearing glasses over designed sarees, while other side her grand-daughter will appear in bright, youthful colors that reflect her age and sense of style. Her character would be quite similar to Archana’s as she is clam and mature girl. She has a very traditional and rooted value system.

According to the sources, Ankita is a mature girl who has had to grow up overnight in order to take care of her four siblings and drunken father when her mother left the family to marry a rich man.

Talking about the opportunity to play both roles, Ankita said, “I have been very fortunate to have got the opportunity to play the role of Archana who has endeared herself to the viewers over the years. I am grateful to Ekta ma'am and Zee TV for having faith in my ability and casting me in such a strong role at the very start of my career.”

How easy or difficult it is to play double role? Ankita answered, “Yes, it will take me some time to adjust to stepping in and out of the characters of Archana and Ankita within the same day, but I think practice will make that perfect too. As I step into this new and exciting role, I hope that viewers continue to show me the same love and support that they have given me as Archana. Yes, it feels surreal to be playing the role of my own namesake. Especially since the character is so close to who I am off screen as well.”

Manish Naggdev to play key role post 20 year's leap in Pavitra Rishta!

Buzz has been doing rounds in the media for so long regarding the big-fat leap in Balaji Telefilms' popular show Pavitra Rishta which airs on Zee TV. Finally, the wait is over and the leap is taking place. The post leap sequence has begun shooting with a bench of new actors including Karan Mehra, Sheeba Chaddha, Charlie Chauhan and Niveen Ramani. Good news for the fans is that all the actors are staying back in the show post leap.

According to the sources the first shoot of the leap sequence has begun.  The show is heading towards taking a 20 years leap. Post leap, Arjun-Purvi's (Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi) daughter Pari's role  which will be played by Charlie Chauhan, Sachin (Anubhav Srivastava) will be having 2 kids aged 14-15 years who are newcomers, Ovi will be shown having one kid and Sohum (Ankit Narang) will be having 5 kids.

The entire family will be shown settled in Canada and later they will shift back to Mumbai. Mansi Sharma will be playing the character of Sachin's wife post leap and her character will be negative.

Apart from these new actors, sources says Manish Naggdev, who was last seen in a full-fledged role in Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon will essay Ankita's (Ankita Lokhande) best friend. He will enter the show after the generation jump.

Balaji Telefilms' popular show Pavitra Rishta was buzzing in the media for so long regarding its upcoming leap. Finally, the wait is over and the leap is taking place. The post leap shoot has commenced for the show Pavitra Rishta from today onwards and the good news for the fans is that all the actors are staying back in the show post leap.

Our source informed us that, "The first shoot of the leap sequence has begun from today onwards.  The show is heading towards taking a 20 years leap. Post leap, Arjun-Purvi's (Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi) daughter Pari's role  which will be played by Charlie Chauhan, Sachin (Anubhav Srivastava) will be having 2 kids aged 14-15 years who are newcomers, Ovi will be shown having one kid and Sohum (Ankit Narang)will be having 5 kids. Rithvik-Asha-Shruti will not quit Pavitra Rishta after the generation jump!

Disagreeing to the creative team who has decided to take the 18 year generation leap in Pavitra Rishta, the young brigade of actors like Rithvik Dhanjani, Asha Negi, Shruti Kanwar, Shakti Arora had decided to quit the show. The actors shared their dislike of playing old characters on the show, aired on Zee TV and being produced by Ekta Kapoor’s production house Balaji Telefilms.

However, latest news coming straight from the sets of Pavitra Rishta states that the young actors have changed their minds and will not leave the show post the big-fat generation leap. A month ago, Rithivik, Asha and Shruti, when Balaji announced an 18-years-leap on the show, which allow the story to shift on a completely new ground, had warned the creative team whether to introduce a new track that doesn’t show them as old characters or they will walk out from the show.

“Rithivik, Asha and Shruti had informed the production house a month back that they are not keen on playing parents of grownup kids and hence wanted to quit the show. However, the production house has been trying to convince the actors and they have finally agreed to stay back in Pavitra Rishta,” confirmed the sources.

Post the 18 year generation leap, audience will witness the protagonist Archana (Ankita Lokhande) playing a double role.
Ganesh Utsav celebration along with Grand Masti stars in Pavitra Rishta!

Ekta Kapoor’s long running show Pavitra Rishta is well-known for celebrating festivals with full zeal and zest. And to continue working as per its individuality, the makers are all set to bring entertainment through Ganesh Utsav, where the three generations of the TV show will perform together leaving all the grudges behind.

According to the sources, there will be a dance and musical episode, in which Savita Tai (Usha Nadkarni) and her husband Damodar (Ajay Wadhavkar) will bring back the golden era of black and white cinema by jiving on 1950s classic Shaam dhale, khidki tale from the film Albela.

While other side, the protagonists Manav (Hiten Tejwani) and Archana (Ankita Lokhande) will be seen shaking their legs on Ek main aur ek tu song from the film Khel Khel Mein. The third generation, including Arjun (Rithvik Dhanjani) and Purvi (Asha Negi) will dance to the hit song Dilliwaali girlfriend from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

If this is not enough, you will also get treated by Bollywood masala. Yes, Bollywood actors Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani will enter in the celebration to make it grand. They will visit the show to promote their upcoming comedy film Grand Masti.

The Ganesh Utsav special will be aired Sunday on Zee TV.

Manish Goel denied playing Ankita Lokhande's father in Pavitra Rishta!

Balaji Telefilms’ long running show Pavitra Rishta is ready to take big-fat generation leap, for which preparations has already commenced by the casting team. It is reported already that the show will see big changes after leap, wherein whole cast will be turned new. Old faces like Rithvik Dhanjani, Asha Negi and Shruti Kanwar will take exit, while new characters will make their way in the show.

But the news come out that we really found weird. And the man in question was himself left speechless when he got shortlisted for this particular role. It is reported that handsome and talented actor Manish Goel, who recently was seen playing super villain in Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath, was approached to play the father of Ankita Lokhande (Archana) in the show.

Manish confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I was approached by the makers to play the role of Ankita’s father in Pavitra Rishta; well it was really weird. I can play a role opposite Ankita but definitely not as a father to her.”

Further, on being quizzed when he will make a comeback to small screen industry, Manish said, “Well, I am reading many scripts but nothing has been productive as yet. I don’t want someone to tell me Manish you can do this but want them to ask me Manish can you do it. The day someone will ask me this, I will make my comeback.”
