Sandit Tiwari quits Zee TV's Jamai Raja

Actor Sandit Tiwari seems to be at a ‘creative loss’ after being disappointed at his track not shaping up well in Zee TV’s popular show, Jamai Raja (Grazing Goat Pictures). The result of this is that he has ‘quit’ the show, after having a word with the concerned people in the channel and the production house.
Sandit, who essays the role of Prashant, Sid’s (Ravi Dubey) closest friend was actually promised the role of a parallel lead. His character was supposed to wed Sid’s sister, and thereby get a prominent track in the show. However, nothing of this happened, and this apparently made Sandit take this decision.
When contacted, Sandit confirmed the news to Tellychakkar.com saying, “Yes, I was creatively not satisfied with the way my character shaped up in Jamai Raja. Hence I decided to quit the show. However, I must say that I have made lot of friends on the set of the show, and would love to work with them again.”
We hear that Sandit has not been shooting for the show from last week.
Incidentally, Sandit had also quit his earlier serial Mahi Sagar on Big Magic wherein he played the lead role.
We hope Sandit’s next outing on TV will keep him ‘creatively happy’.
Amrin Chakkiwala to enter Zee TV's Jamai Raja

Zee TV’s Jamai Raja, produced by Grazing Goats Pictures will see a new entry in Amrin Chakkiwala in the coming episodes.
Amrin will play the role of Pratima, a middle class girl struggling to get work to live her living. She will be seen coming in for an interview at Durga Devi’s (Achint Kaur) office. However, the girl will be insulted by Durga Devi. But ‘Jamai Raja’ Siddharth (Ravi Dubey) will in some manner convince
Kesar (Darpan Shrivastava) and Durga Devi in hiring Pratima. This way, Pratima will get herself a job in Durga Devi’s office.
However, an intrigue will be created as to why Pratima would be keen on working in Durga’s office, and why the girl would always be scared of the towering personality, called Durga Devi.
When contacted, Amrin who was earlier seen essaying the role of Soumya in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain told us, “Yes, I have started shooting for Jamai Raja. However, I cannot reveal any details on my character.”
