Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat Season 2 review: Ram Kapoor-Sakshi Tanwar’s chemistry reels you back and keeps you hooked

After their chemistry in the TV series, Bade Achche Lagte Hain, made headlines, Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar reunited for ALT Balaji’s Karrle Tu Bhi Mohabbat and the result was for all to see. The web series took off and in no time Karan Khanna and Dr Tripura Sundari Nagarajan were everyone’s favourite characters. And fans were sorely disappointed when the first season of the show came to an end but now they have every reason to rejoice as yet another season of the show is now available for them to watch. But does it manage to live up to the expectations? Let’s take a look…

What’s it about

Dr Tripura aka Tipsy is away on a European holiday – a sabbatical of sorts after things went South with Karan in Mumbai. She keeps thinking back to her life in Mumbai, Karan, and the time when she almost professed her love to him. And so we see her ruing being on a holiday, despite the fact that she is doing all her favourite things and ticking them off her mental checklist. So, it seems that she is almost relieved when she gets a call from Sherry who asks her to return to Mumbai immediately.

With worry writ large on her face, she returns to the city, only to find out that Sherry is getting married to Vishal. It is in the court, where they are called to be witnesses, that Tipsy and Karan meet again. And things go back to being the way they were. They fight and bicker about everything. But everything is not the same anymore. Karan is now living with Radhika and Trisha but Tipsy doesn’t know this.

What’s hot
The chemistry, that was perhaps the inspiration behind the show, remains intact. It is as if Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar pick up from where they had left. Nothing changes between them. Also the fact that the show doesn’t digress help matters. How often have we seen good shows lose the plot and before you know it, everything is all over the place. Thankfully, that doesn’t happen here.

What’s not
The TV hangover is pretty evident. Everything has quite a set-like feel to it. Perhaps such make-believe world seems real on TV but for a web-series, it is a little too much. We can really do away with so much lights twinkling in the background each time Karan and Tipsy meet.

What to do
Die-hard fans of Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar shouldn’t even think about missing out on this one. The duo is certainly at its best here.
