Crime investigation show 'Shantam Paapam' to air fresh episodes.
Crime thriller 'Shantam Paapam' is all set to return to Kannada television with brand new episodes. The show will be airing at a noon slot on a leading Kannada general entertainment channel.
About the show:
- Shantam Paapam is said to be a compilation of different crime stories based on real-life events that shed light on how the victims fought back to attain justice. While season 2 was on the run before the nationwide lockdown was imposed, the makers had earlier decided to re-run the debut season of the show.
- Shaantam Paapam throws light on societal evils like violence against women, children, honor killing, family disputes, and extramarital affairs. The crime-based show was first aired on television in 2017. Ever since then it has managed to woo the viewers with its nail-biting episodes. The show gained popularity for its realistic approach within a short span of time.
- However, what makes the show special is that Shantam Paapam features many popular faces of Kannada television as a host for every episode. The actors will give an introduction to the story by narrating the incidents.
- Shantam Paapam also aims to create awareness about vigilance regarding raising crimes in the city. Interestingly, the show got dubbed into Bengali as 'Surakshan Kavanch', which premiered the previous year (2020) post nationwide lockdown.
