Raju Jeyamohan lifts the trophy and wins a prize money of Rs. 50 lakhs: Raju Jeyamohan triumphs in Bigg Boss Season 5. In a grand gala finale on Sunday night, Raju lifted the trophy, and walked away with a prize money of Rs. 50 lakhs. VJ Priyanka Deshpande became the first runner up of the season. Interestingly, Pavani Reddy was one of the three finalists of the season. Raju, who entered the BB house as the second contestant of the season, has succeeded in gaining enough vote bank to emerge as the winner. Our ETimes TV’s poll also suggested the same, with 57% of the respondents voting for Raju as the winner.
Bigg Boss Tamil 5 Grand Finale Highlights: With his mimicry s****s, stand-up comedy, and funny one-liners, Raju was the most entertaining Bigg Boss Tamil contestant of the season. Despite the fact that he had been nominated for eviction more than five times, he managed to survive eviction every time. While he was inside the BB house, his fans compiled his comedy juncks and made them go viral on social media. Though he faced little criticism for not playing the tasks hard enough or never getting to be a captain at least once, Raju has won everybody's support both inside and outside the BB house. In the last task given to all the contestants to choose their favourite housemate, Raju has won the task with a clear mandate. Apart from Pavani accusing Raju of poking his nose into the Pavani-Abhinay relationship, he never got involved in any ugly spat. Raju-Priyanka is the audience’s most loved duo of the season. Though they entered the house without a strong bond, eventually their comical rapport turned out to be the most entertaining one.
Priyanka Deshpande and Thamaraiselvi get into an ugly fight: As the season is inching toward completion, rifts and competition between the housemates are intensifying. The second task for the ticket to the finale is announced in the upcoming episode. Housemates were seen protecting the eggs in their respective nests from the fellow contestants. Sanjeev, Amir, and Raaju are trying to break the eggs from other contestants’ nests. Pavani was seen walking off the competition. As the competition became more heated, Thamaraiselvi was seen pushing Priyanka forcefully. Now this fight, in the following teasers released, is seen getting into an ugly fight.

Chinna Ponnu is the next contestant to get eliminated from the Kamal Haasan-hosted show. She made her entry on day 1 along with 17 other contestants. She is now evicted on the 28th day of the show. 9 contestants were nominated for elimination last week. From them, Imman Annachi and Isaivani got saved on Saturday’s episode. Kamal started the elimination round. He asked the remaining 7 contestants, namely Akshara Reddy, Abhinay Vaddi, Chinna Ponnu, Priyanka Deshpande, Pavani Reddy, Suruthi and Varun, to go to the activity room. Four contestants were saved one after the other. At last, Abishek, Chinna Ponnu and Varun were left in the danger zone. Kamal said that he wanted to speak with them and that’s the reason, he made such an arrangement in the activity room. Kamal said that he wanted to see more participation from their sides. Bigg Boss announced that Chinna Ponnu can meet the housemates and then leave the house. Chinna Ponnu had some emotional moments with the housemates. Upon request from the housemates, she performed a song and left the house. Kamal Haasan welcomed Chinna Ponnu on stage. She spoke about missing her granddaughter in the recent past. She thanked the audience for letting her stay in the house until now. There have been times when Chinna Ponnu thought, whether she would get a chance to enter Bigg Boss Tamil. She is happy to be part of the show. Kamal showed the video of her journey in the house. Chinna Ponnu said that she, along with her hubby, is in plans to establish a centre and train the art to poor people without taking cost. Kamal wished her all the best for her plans. After having a detailed conversation, Chinna Ponnu left the show.
Mathumitha becomes captain: Priyanka Deshpande read out the rules of the task ‘Ushar Aiya Usharu’, to select the captain. The contenders for the task were selected based on the 'Name game' task. Mathumitha and Priyanka won the task and hence they were selected as the contenders. In part 2 of the task for captaincy, the housemates had to throw the smiley balls in the net held by Priyanka and Mathumitha. Later, they had to collect those balls in their respective baskets. Mathumitha collected the maximum number of smiley balls and she became the captain of the house for the week. Mathumitha divided the teams for the household chores. Mathumitha suggested all the housemates should have food together at the same time in order to improve the bonding between everyone. 9 contestants, namely, Priyanka Deshpande, Pavani Reddy, Chinna Ponnu, Akshara Reddy, Suruthi, Isaivani, Abhinay Vaddi, Imman Annachi, Varun got nominated for eviction this week. Bigg Boss offered the coin owners Pavani, Isaivani and Varun to swap their nomination by naming some other contestants who escaped the nomination process. They refrained from using the special powers of the coin and stayed nominated.
Abishek Raaja became the second contestant to be eliminated. He entered the house on day 1 of the show along with 17 other contestants and got evicted on the 21st day of the show. Contestants Abishek Raaja, Iykki Berry, Chinna Ponnu remained in the danger zone. Contestants like Pavani Reddy and others, who possess special coins, volunteered to share their coins and save him. But Abishek decided to accept the verdict given by the public in terms of votes. All the housemates kept requesting him to accept the coins and stay back. But Abhishek shared, he won't be able to play the game after knowing the public opinion. Later, Bigg Boss clarified that the coin can be used only when the housemates are given the opportunity to use it. On receiving better clarity from Bigg Boss, Abishek left the house. His co-participants had an emotional moment. Kamal Haasan welcomed Abishek on the stage. He asked Abishek whether he expected his exit so soon. Abishek replied that he thought he would be among the top 5 contestants. Kamal opined that Abishek has a good analytical sense and his judgment about others is good. He should use his analytical skills to judge him. Later, Kamal showed Abishek’s journey video to him. Kamal advised that Abishek seems to be an angry young man. He suggested him to be 'afraid' of his own anger and control it rather.
Bigg Boss said Raju Jeyamohan, Pavani Reddy, Ciby and Isaivani were present in the activity area on time during the Oru Kadhai Sollattuma task and since Imman Annachi was selected as the most entertaining contestant, they can participate in the captaincy contender task. According to the task, the housemates either as individuals or groups, were asked to disturb five contenders and make them smile or angry. Later, Bigg Boss announced that the housemates can garland their favorite contender who will be the captain. Finally, on the basis of the maximum garlands received, Ciby was selected as the captain. Later, the new captain divided the teams for the household chores. Bigg Boss announced the nomination task. As Ciby is the captain, he cannot be nominated for this week. Finally, Bigg Boss announced that 9 contestants - Abhishek Raaja, Pavani Reddy, Akshara Reddy, Chinna Ponnu, Priyanka Deshpande, Thamarai Selvi, Iykki Berry, Isaivani, and Abhinay Vaddi - were nominated for eviction. Meanwhile, housemates like Imman Annachi, Raju and others complained about the confusion in the kitchen area. Raju tried to sort out the differences with Pavani adding that language barrier could be a reason for the misunderstanding.
On the occasion of Vijayadashami, special arrangements were made. Flowers, costumes, and all the other necessary items were sent to the housemates to decorate the house colorfully. As instructed by Bigg Boss, folk artist Thamarai Selvi (the captain of the house), trained the housemates for various performances. The housemates also gave their best performances and impressed the audience.
