  ‘Jai Jagannath’, starring Bipul Patra in the titular role, is set to start its journey from today (November 22). The mythological show will narrate the untold tale of Lord Jagannath. Bipul, who has featured in OTT projects, will essay both Lord Krishna and Jagannath in this show.

Story:

• The mythological show will narrate the untold tales of Lord Jagannath and Jagannath Dham. Team ‘Jai Jagannath’ has been working day in and out to do the background research, develop the story, and adapt it for the TV show.
  
• The show will start its journey with the story of Jara, a hunter who later takes rebirth as Biswabasu.
  

Star Cast:

• Actress Shreema Bhattacherjee will essay Jambavati’s role in the show.
  
• Arfin Rana, who is a participant of reality show 'Sangeet Er Mahajuddho', crooned the title track of 'Jai Jagannath'.

With this, Bengali television is set to welcome a number of new TV shows. From devotional shows, rom-coms, and non-fiction shows, there is a variety of flavours in terms of entertainment. Besides, ‘Jai Jagannath’, romantic-comedy ‘Basanta Bilash’ will also be launched today. Actor Kanchan Mallick, who started a new inning as a politician, will feature in this show alongside Kamalika Banerjee. Nandini Dutta and Arpan Ghoshal will play a reel jodi in this show which will narrate the story of a ‘mess bari’. The housemates, who are from different backgrounds, are united by emotions as they live under the same roof. A chat show hosted by Debshankar Halder is also set to launch.
