- Bengali television is ready to welcome some brand new shows. One among them is much-anticipated show ‘Gantchhora’, which will cast two very popular actors of this industry as the lead jodi.
The show featuring Solanki Roy and Gourab Chatterjee is set to hit the TV screens on December 20. The very first promo of ‘Gantchhora’ shot at the picturesque backdrop of Bawali Rajbari, managed to impress the audience.- The show will have an ensemble cast. Actress June Maliah will essay Gourab’s mom while Arijit Chatterjee will play his brother. Actress Shreema Bhattacherjee will also be seen playing a prominent role in this upcoming family-drama.
- Meanwhile, the team is having a hectic
shoot schedule prior to the launch. Gourab, June. Solanki, Arijit and
other artists were outside Kolkata to shoot a few important sequences
for the initial episodes. They had a good time shooting at Bawali
Rajbari. In fact, Gourab, who recently celebrated his first wedding
anniversary, spent his special day with wife Devlina Kumar
at the shooting location. His co-stars had a special surprise for the
couple. Gourab, Devlina along with other artists enjoyed a gala dinner
party, too.

- Interestingly, ‘Gantchhora’ will replace the time slot of popular daily soap ‘Sreemoyee’. After having a successful run on Bengali TV for almost two and a half years, the Indrani Halder-Tota Roy Choudhury starrer is inching towards its climax. It will be interesting to see how the new show fares on the TRP charts.
