Now, to make this Navratri festival special, a brand new devotional
Marathi TV show 'Ekvira Aai' is all set to launch soon.
- The makers of the show have shared the promo of the upcoming show and captioned it as, "भक्तांच्या हाकेला आदिशक्तीची साथ! नवी मालिका - 'एकवीरा आई'. लवकरच... सोनी मराठी वाहिनीवर. #एकवीराआई । #EkveeraAai #सोनीमराठी | विणूयाअतूटनाती | #VinuyaAtutNati"
- In the promo as well, the makers have shown the holy
temple of Ekvira and the hill of Ekvira. It indicates that the story of
the show will revolve around how Pandavas built the temple in the
devotion of Ekvira and how she blessed them.
Story:
The show is based on the Goddess Ekvira Devi (also worshipped as Bhavani), who is the Mother Goddess and Swayambhu. The temple of Ekvira is located on a hill and people need to ascend around 500 steps to reach the temple. It is surrounded by Karla caves near Lonavala in Maharashtra, which are now protected by the archeological department.- In Hinduism,
Goddess Ekvira (also worshipped as Bhavani in different parts of India
and Nepal) is the Mother Goddess and swayambhu i.e. Self Evolved.
- It
is believed that the temple was built by the Pandavas when they visited
this part during their 14-year-long exile. Goddess Ekvira once appeared
in front of them and demanded a temple from them. The Pandavas, true to
their word, built the temple overnight. The affection of the Pandavas
overwhelmed the Goddess so much that she granted their wish that they
should never be found out during their exile. According to mythology,
the goddess is the Kul-Devata of the Koli and Agri community.
