creator and gamer Payal Gaming broke down while speaking about the
emotional impact of a viral deepfake video during an episode of the OTT
reality show Alliance. Opening up about the growing toxicity on social
media, she said people today are quick to judge and that even a single
statement can be blown out of proportion..
“People are so sensitive now. Even a single word can be taken against you,” Payal said during the conversation.Reflecting on a recent incident, Payal revealed that she was targeted with a deepfake video, leaving her deeply embarrassed. “It’s probably the worst place right now, so full of negativity. Recently, something happened to me. I honestly feel embarrassed even talking about it because I can’t believe people can stoop so low when they see someone growing or becoming successful. They mocked my image and even made a deepfake video of me. I mean…” she said, becoming emotional.
Fellow contestant Nikhil Chinapa empathised with Payal and spoke about the harsh reality of online trolling. “Anyone seems to enjoy pulling someone else down on the internet,” he said. He further added, “It’s really tough being a girl because you receive so much ridiculous and unnecessary attention,” highlighting how women often face disproportionate abuse on social media.
The emotional moment struck a chord with viewers, with many extending support to Payal on social media. Several users condemned the misuse of AI technology and deepfake videos, calling them “disgusting” and “dangerous,” while others praised Payal for speaking up about an issue that affects many women online. Fans also lauded Nikhil Chinapa for standing by her and addressing the darker side of internet culture.
