For television actors, the vanity or green room becomes more than just a space to get ready between scenes. It is where they prepare for the day, recharge between takes, run through scripts, catch up with co-stars and sometimes simply find a few quiet moments for themselves. While every artist has their own way of making the space feel comfortable, there are a few personal essentials that have become non-negotiable.

Sony SAB artists Muskan Bamne, Deeksha Joshi, Iqbal Khan, Gulki Joshi, Toral Rasputra and Jiten Lalwani reveal the everyday staples they always keep in their vanity rooms.
Sony SAB Stars' Vanity Secrets: Personal Must-Have & Beauty Essentials
Iqbal Khan who plays Dr Dev in Yaadein, shared, "My makeup place is actually quite personal to me. The first thing you'll always find there is my prayer mat because having a few quiet moments to myself is important. I also have my own chair, one that reclines a little, because after all these years I have realised having a comfortable chair is a luxury! I keep chocolates as well, especially because children sometimes come to visit me on set and I like having something to offer them. And I always have a couch because if someone wants to come and sit and discuss something with me, I don't want them standing around. So my vanity is really a mix of my personal space and a little space for everyone who drops by."
Muskan Bamne who plays Shanaya in Pushpa Impossible, shared, "My vanity room is my little space to reset, so I always like having a few things around that make it feels comfortable and familiar. Music is a big part of that for me, so I usually have my earphones with me. I also keep a few personal photographs because seeing familiar faces between scenes instantly makes me happy. These may seem like small things, but they make the vanity feel a little more like my own space."
Deeksha Joshi who plays Deepti in Pushpa Impossible, shared, "Two things I absolutely need in my vanity are water and a good perfume mist. I keep sipping water throughout the day and the perfume mist is my little pick-me-up whenever I want to feel fresh. Especially when you're
moving between different scenes, having these two things nearby makes a difference. They're simple, but I genuinely feel incomplete if either one is missing."
Gulki Joshi who plays Dr. Srishty in Yaadein, shared, "One thing you'll almost always find in my vanity is a little snack stash. I like having something to munch on between scenes, especially when I suddenly realise I am hungry but do not have the time for a proper meal. I also keep my headphones with me because sometimes I just need a few minutes of music to switch off and recharge. For me, the vanity is my little pause button during the day."
Jiten Lalwani who plays Dronacharya in Hastinapur Ke Veer, shared, "My scripts are always the first thing in my vanity, followed by my writing and reading pad, a few pens, highlighters and my spectacles. These are non-negotiable because I like being prepared with my work. Then comes my home-cooked food, snacks and tea, because I like having familiar food around me. I also keep a resistance band because fitness is important to me and I like getting a little movement in whenever I can. Everything else is secondary!"
