Mera Sindoor Main Cast Shamir Khaan Confirmed - DEETS

SHAMIN KHAAN SHARES DETAILS ABOUT HER MERA SINDOOR CHARACTER

Confirming the same, Shamir said, "I will be playing the ultra-loving and protective elder brother of Anchal Sahu in the show. It's something that I cant disclose much but can say I'm really looking forward to creating on-screen, as my sister got married recently too. It should be fun."

The actor further expressed his elation on finally bagging a positive role after being typecast in negative shades.

"I am elated to finally get a positive role. I had been rejecting negative leads for the last couple of years across TV and micro-dramas. As both my first two shows had me playing the negative lead, that tag got hooked to my name. Finally, I will get rid of that tag and create a new space for myself for future projects," he said.

SHAMIN KHAAN ON HIS PREFERENCE FOR LAYERED CHARACTERS

Talking about his preference for layered characters, Shamir added, "I love roles that are not simple. Simplicity forbids you from exploring a character and its space. When you play a character or a role that is not random, you get the space to create. Hence, I loved my negative leads, but it came at a huge price. I was only being called for negative roles after that."

"The only reason was that the kind of offers I was getting were all in the dark shade. Negative roles have their limitations in terms of fame, especially. No one works to be hated, hence I kept rejecting offers and focused on other aspects of my career. I finally took up this show to break the ceiling of being a negative lead and return with a new dimension," he concluded.

On the professional front, Shamir made his debut playing Rocky in the TV show Kyunkii... Tum Hi Ho from 2022 to 2023. He later transitioned into business by launching a venture focused on India's mental wellness space, which aims to provide accessible, relatable, and stigma-free emotional health solutions for younger audiences.
