Sony Entertainment Television’s popular reality-based crime show Crime Patrol (Optimystix Productions) has always made a point to create awareness amongst the masses by depicting real-life crime stories.
With news of Godmen doing the rounds and media exposing them, the show will present a story of a quack who will not only be duping innocent people but also commit some heinous crimes.
The story will be about Baba Rajasagi (who has innumerable aliases) who will claim that he has seen a dream in which God told him to build a temple in the village. And after the innocent people will dole out money as donation for the purpose, the Baba will vanish.
Devotees will tend to believe that Baba has gone praying in isolation and one day he will just turn up to keep his words that he gave to his followers. On the other hand unknown to the villagers, the Pune police will be on the lookout for the Baba since they have no clue as to who the Baba is and the only possession they have of his are the six phone numbers that the fake Godman have been using.
And soon viewers will see that the police are on the trail of the Baba for a double murder case, that of a woman Rohini and her 5 year old daughter Chanda. They will find out that the house in the chawl, where the bodies were found belonged to one Gokul Daware who had given it on rent to Baba Rajasagi.
And now with Baba Rajasagi absconding and no one in the chawl having his photograph, the cops will be having a hard time finding any lead. They will also be wondering as to what were Rohini and Chanda doing in Baba’s house. It is then that their father Amardev, a construction labourer, will reveal that his family is devoted to the Baba and Rohini and Chanda were taking care of Baba in the house.
So did the Baba commit the twin murders? And what was his real motive of cheating the villagers?

Crime Patrol to bring Nirbhaya's case on screen!

Sony TV’s real-life crime based show Crime Patrol will soon bring an episode on the December 16 Delhi gang-rape.
According to the sources, the makers of the show were planning to
showcase this brutal gang-rape case to the audience to bring awareness,
but they were waiting for the final verdict in the case to be out.
A source said, “The verdict is out, so the channel is planning to air
the episode, and will also include the fact that the accused have been
convicted. Earlier, the channel was restrained from airing the episode
by the BCCC (Broadcasting Content Complaints Council) till the verdict was given. Prior to BCCC, the I&B Ministry had informally asked the channel to not air the episode,” reported sources.
Meanwhile, about the case, a special Delhi court on Tuesday found four
men guilty of gang-raping and murdering a 23-year-old paramedical
student in a moving bus here in December last year, a case that evoked
nationwide outrage and led the government to bring in stringent
anti-rape laws.
