Jodha to die in Zee TV's Jodha Akbar?

Zee TV’s popular historical magnum opus Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms), currently sees the ruthless Jalal (Rajat Tokas) blinded by power and supremacy, wreaking havoc on his people. In his ambition to build a new fort, Jalal decides to acquire the holy land and orders his men to rehabilitate the dwellers of that village.
However, it is the ancestral land of these occupants who have been staying here for centuries and even have the burials of their descendants.
The villagers thus challenge the orders of Jalal and refuse to move out of their land. This does not go down
well with Jalal who feels defied and orders forceful evacuation of the land. The resistance results in absolute devastation, blood-shed and loss of lives of the innocent villagers. But Jalal is remorseless, self-consumed and on a spree to attain more power.
On the other hand Jodha (Paridhi Sharma) has fallen ill serving the sick patients at the camp and with Jalal’s every strike against the innocents, her health is only deteriorating eventually leading her to her deathbed. Seeing the love of his life fighting for her last breath, Jalal is shaken and finally realizes his mistake of considering himself superior to God almighty. The earlier callous Jalal is now broken, shattered and goes mad looking for a ‘Vibhuti’ that can probably heal Jodha. By the time Jalal Akbar manages to find the ‘Vibhuti’ and rushes to his begum, it’s already too late. Jodha is on her deathbed taking her last breath.
Will Jodha pay for Jalal’s misdeeds?... Will God punish Jalal for killing innocents by taking away his favourite begum?

Jodha Akbar scoop: Rajat 'insecure' with Ravi?

This spicy news has just been delivered by one of our reliable khabris from the sets of Zee TV’s Jobha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms). Ravi Bhatia's arrival as Salim on the show has apparently not gone down well with the lead of the show, Rajat Tokas.
According to our sources, Rajat is believed to be getting highly insecure with more screen presence being given to Ravi in the serial. Rajat was heard sharing his grouse with the show’s director.
"Rajat doesn't want any other actor getting more footage in the project. He is also unhappy with the upcoming track of Salim and Anarkali (Heena Parmar)," informed our source.
When we buzzed Ravi, he shared, “Nothing as such. Rajat and I have worked earlier in Dharamveer and I am happy to be working with him again after six years.”
Rajat Tokas remained unavailable to comment.
Heena Parmar to play Anarkali in Jodha Akbar

So finally the search is over!
One of the most romantic couples in the history, Salim and Anarkali’s love story will be brought alive on TV screen in Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms).
As per media reports, after roping in good looking Ravi Bhatia as Salim, the makers have now zeroed on the petite Heena Parmar to play the beautiful courtesan who will be buried alive in a wall as her punishment to love a royal prince.
Heena has earlier been part of shows like Main Lakshmi Tere Angan Ki, Punar Vivah and Itti Si Khushi.
Also Jyotsna Chandila will be seen playing Salim’s wife Maan Bai in the show.
Heena has already started shooting and her entry will air soon.
Are you excited to see Heena and Ravi bring alive the magic of Salim-Anarkali?

Ravi Bhatia ‘ecstatic’ on bagging the role of Salim in Jodha Akbar

Ravi Bhatia has ‘struck’ gold by bagging the role of the princely Salim in Balaji Telefilms’ successful Zee TV show, Jodha Akbar. As per reports, Ravi who was one of the 12 options to play the role was hand-picked by Ekta Kapoor herself.
Earlier reports suggested that Desh Ki Beti Nandini fame Raafi Malik was also short-listed to play the son of Akbar (Rajat Tokas).
An excited Ravi who was last seen essaying brother to Arhaan Behl in Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se told us, “Yes, I am excited about being part of Jodha Akbar. I have begun shoot from today. It is nice to be part of Ekta Kapoor’s family. Since Salim is a warrior and also has a romantic track, I will have lots to do. I am already proficient in horse-riding and sword-fighting, as I was earlier part of the show Veer Shivaji. I will now have to polish my skills to get the tuning right. Since it is my first day today, I am a bit nervous. But I feel all will fall in place in days to come.”
Ravi was earlier seen essaying the lead role in Sahara One’s Humari Beti Raaj Karegi.
We wish the new ‘Salim’ all the very best.

Box Cricket League (BCL) is yet to go on air but the controversies have already begun!
Paridhi Sharma and Rajat Tokas who essay the roles of Jodha Akbar respectively on the small screen will be performing for the opening ceremony of BCL which is slated to go on air from 14th of December on Sony Entertainment Television.
Unfortunately, their performance on a rival channel did not go down too well with the channel on which their show is on air, Zee TV. Ekta Kapoor being the producer of both the shows, got the leads of Jodha Akbar to perform on BCL, but when the channel came to know about it they were not happy.
Unaware about the complications that their performance will create, the two will be seen doing romantic act. Since they performed in costumes which were resembled their on screen avatars, it created even bigger
problem. However, after this incident it is said that both the actors were warned never to do it again!

It’s a phase of ‘gloom’ and ‘sorrow’ for Jodha (Paridhi Sharma) and Jalal (Rajat Tokas) in Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms) with Mirza Kasim (Manish Bishla) and his wife Zeenat (Chetna Kaintura) plotting to kill their new-born twins.
In the coming episodes, the couple will succeed in avenging the death of Kasim’s father at the hands of Jalal’s father, Humayun. Amidst the festive atmosphere of Dussehra, Zeenat will succeed in giving poison to both the kids, thereby resulting in their death.
The track ahead will trace the journey of the brooding Jodha and Jalal who would be unable to cope up with the death of their kids.
We hear that the maker has shot extremely emotional sequences of Jodha as a mother crying over the death of her twins.
Meanwhile, there are reports of Jodha Akbar slated to take a 15 years leap in the end of October. With the passage of time, introduction of Salim, Jodha and Jalal’s son will be shown. As of now, the casting is in process for the actor to play Salim.
We tried calling Paridhi, but could not get through to her.
Catch all the twists and drama in Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar.

Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms) will see quite a lot of drama in the coming episodes, when Jalal’s (Rajat Tokas) kids will be under continuous threat of being killed by Mirza Kasim and his wife Zeenat.
Playing the couple who have come in with a score to settle with Jalal are actors Manish Bishla and Chetna Kaintura. Their only intention will be to see Jalal, Ruqaiyya (Lavina Tandon) and Jodha (Paridhi Sharma) in a defeated state.
As per the ongoing track, they have already chalked plans to kill the kids, and are even attempting to kill the kid which is with Ruqaiyya.
A source states, “Zeenat along with her husband Kasim would make atleast three attempts to kill the twins of Jalal. However, she will not be successful in it. Having said this, the occasion of Dussehra will come with a lot of shock and drama wherein Zeenat will be hell bent in fulfilling her plan.”
Will Zeenat and Kasim be successful in killing the twins of Jalal and Jodha? Will the curse of the dead Mahamanga (Ashwini Kalsekar) get true with the death of the twins?
Getting back to the actors playing the threat to the kids, Manish Bishla has been part of Mahadev on Life OK in the role of Surya Dev. He has also done serials like Chandragupta Maurya, Dhwarkadheesh and episodics like Shapath, Haunted Nights before. Chetna is presently seen in Sony PAL’s Khusiyon Ki Gullakh Aashi in the role of Meetu, in addition to being seen in Jodha Akbar. She has done episodics for CID, Savdhan India, Arjun, Ishq Kills and Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
Get ready to watch this high-intensity drama in Jodha Akbar.

Actor Vijay Badlani has essayed quite a lot of negative roles to the ‘T’. In Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms), he plays the musical great Tansen who is known as the King of melody.
In the coming episodes, the actor will get an opportunity to showcase his humorous side. Well, the sequence we are talking of will happen when Jalal (Rajat Tokas) will call for his two gems in the court, Tansen and Birbal (Gopal Singh) and will ask them to swap their duties and entertain the court.
With this, Tansen will be given the task of keeping people happy while Birbal would be asked to sing. This particular sequence, we hear will delight the loyal viewers of the show as it has been shot in an extremely funny manner. And with this lighter track coming after a lot of drama, it will surely be a welcome change for the viewers.
Viewers will see quite a lot of leg-pulling happening between Tansen and Birbal, which will be a treat in itself.
When contacted, Vijay told us, “Yes, the humorous side of Tansen and Birbal will be an interesting watch. You will have to watch it to get entertained.”
Meanwhile, Vijay’s Doordarshan show, Amrita which was supposed to go off air by this month has got an extension of six months, and that will mean an addition of 130 episodes.
Great going, Vijay!!

True love is felonious… it takes someone’s breath away… robs one of the ability to utter a single word… steals a heart and also manages to get one back from the dead. These lines explain Jodha (Paridhi Sharma) and Akbar’s (Rajat Tokas) love story well enough in Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms).
Jodha consumed a glass full of poison to save Akbar’s life. Hence at the moment she is on the death bed, but Akbar’s love for her is not letting her soul leave her body.
But will he manage to get her back from the dead?
Yes, he will. Jodha will survive the venom.
How does their love story head from here?
We hear that Akbar will decide to have a look at his kingdom and want to go around in simple attire. However he will not go all alone; Jodha will go along with him.
Thus Jodha and Akbar will disguise as a Marvari couple to go around and have a look at what’s happening in their kingdom.
Interestingly they will also be seen romancing each other as an ordinary couple.
We tried to contact Paridhi but she remained unavailable for comment.

Well folks, here’s another track which unfolds parallel to the Jodha-Akbar love story in Zee TV’s epic historical Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefims).
As seen by viewers, Jodha’s (Paridhi Sharma) sister Shivani has come down to Agra. Now in the coming episodes Jodha will be shocked to learn about Shivani’s romantic affinity towards Tajawant, one of the servants in the palace.
Informs a source, “Jodha will be against the union as she will feel that Tajawant is low in social stature.”
In another development, Jalal’s (Rajat Tokas) brother Mirza Hakim too will fall in love with Shivani and decide to pop the question of marriage to the lovely woman.
Adding continuity to the love triangle, the entire mansion will make the necessary preparations for Mirza Hakim and Shivani’s wedding. While the entire empire will be in the celebration mode, Shivani will plan to elope and get married to Tajawant
“Shivani will not marry Mirza Hakim at any cost,” adds the source.
When contacted Paridhi Sharma aka Jodha, she said, “Viewers have to wait and watch to see if Shivani successfully elopes with Tajawant or does Jodha and Akbar (Rajat Tokas) agree to Shivani’s marriage with the servant.”
Tansen has been one of the most challenging roles for me: Vijay Badlani

Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms) is all set to open up the track wherein the story will introduce the nine jewels of Akbar’s (Rajat Tokas) court. And as we know, making an appearance as Tansen is talented actor Vijay Badlani.
The guy is indeed very ecstatic for having bagged this historical role.
“Yes, I play Keshav Pandit who will later be rechristened as Tansen by Emperor Akbar,” confirms the actor.
He further goes on to add, “I am really thankful to Ekta mam (Kapoor) for giving me this opportunity.”
Interestingly, the actor has had to work extremely hard to get the nuances of this character right as he avers, “This has been one of the most challenging characters for me as I had never held a tanpura in my hand before this. But the crash-course in classical music helped me get into the soul of this character.”
Do you personally like music? “Yes, I like different forms of music. Hence I am thoroughly enjoying this role.”
Keep up the good work, Vijay!

Fighting
for the cause of child-marriage, this week in Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar
(Balaji Telefilms), viewers will see Akbar in a completely new and
different look on the show. Going against all odds to help save a 14
year old girl from being forced into child marriage, Akbar (Rajat Tokas)
will dress in disguise as a choodiwala in order to get to the root of the matter.
Understanding that a 14 year old girl from his kingdom is about to get married to a man double her age, Akbar along with some help from Jodha (Paridhi Sharma) takes up the cause of putting an end to the regressive tradition of child marriage in his kingdom. In order to investigate who the man is, Akbar dresses up as a choodiwala so as to not to be recognized by the henchmen of his kingdom. In his attempt to unearth the truth behind this child marriage, Akbar discovers that it is none other than his evil step-brother Adham Khan who has forced the marriage upon the poor girl by offering her greedy father the lure of riches.
Donning a completely different look for the sequence, actor Rajat Tokas as the ‘choodiwala’ is a stark departure from his usual look of Emperor Akbar. Wearing a long robe and sporting a scraggly beard, Rajat looks quite convincing as a Mughal choodiwala.
About this special sequence, Rajat said, “I had no idea what a choodiwala back in the Mughal era looked like until I donned this unique look. I quite enjoyed getting into this character as it was quite different in terms of get-up, body language, demeanor and style of dialogue delivery. It is intriguing that an emperor should go to such great lengths to get to the bottom of a serious issue and take a strong stand against malpractices in his kingdom. The subject of child marriage is a very interesting track on the show and has captivated the audience attention.”
Akbar will be joined by Jodha to fight the cause and eradicate child marriage from his kingdom. Will Akbar’s strong stand against Adham Khan and child marriage irk mother Mahamanga and evoke her to act against him?

Jodha to get pregnant in Zee TV's Jodha Akbar

The growing closeness of Jodha (Paridhi Sharma) and Jalal (Rajat Tokas) in Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar (Balaji Telefilms) will come to a halt with seeds of suspicions sowed into their relationship.
So what are we talking about?
As seen so far, Jodha is happy about the fact that Jalal aka Akbar did not consummate with her even while she was unconscious on her way back from Ajmer. In fact she has started respecting Akbar for the same fact, but now viewers will witness a strange turn of events.
And the biggest jolt for Jodha will be the news of her pregnancy.
Yes, you heard it right! Jodha will soon learn about her pregnancy which will bring her world crashing down. She will immediately doubt Jalal and will refuse to believe that he had not touched her. She will go on to confront him, but Jalal too will be shocked to know of her pregnancy. There will be major drama with Jalal starting to doubt Jodha, wherein he will assume that Jodha has an affair with another man.
Paridhi refused to comment on the same.
Let’s see how this pregnancy drama will entice the audience.

Balaji Telefilms magnum opus Jodha Akbar on Zee TV has successfully hit the right cords of the audience. Thanks to the power-packed performance of Rajat Tokas aka Akbar, Paridhi Sharma aka Jodha among others that help to keep the interest of the audience intact.
In the coming episodes an interesting drama will unfold when Sukanya (Dharti Bhatt)
would be seen calling off the wedding. In the last episode one could
notice that Shariduddin (Akbar’s brother-in-law) has been planning and
plotting against Jodha’s family and he also asked the groom’s father to
demand for the Ratanpur fort as dowry. But Akbar (Rajat Tokas) declined
their proposal.
Now, if going by the buzz next coming out in the
show is groom’s side will call off the wedding. However, this is not the
end of the story as Jalal will come in the forefront and tackle the
situation in his own way. He does and the wedding rituals take place
soon after that.
Talking about the Akbar and Jodha’s love story
audience will see Jodha is falling in love with Jalal slowly and
steadily. And this event will get her closer to Jalal.
Paridhi, about the track said, “There are a lot of twists and turns in the show just wait and watch.”
This particular episode will air tonight.Potential chances of romance or onscreen chemistry between lead
protagonists, is what keeps the audience glued to television shows in
India. The rule is no different for mythological or historical period
shows.
‘Jodha Akbar’, the latest period daily soap, is a
love saga, but unfortunately love hasn’t blossomed in between the lead
royal protagonists yet, keeping the audience still in the ‘expectant’
mode. However, now the audience is hopeful to catch a few glimpses of
love in the forthcoming episodes.
The last few episodes have given substantial fodder to the audience,
to get their mind working on the potential outcome of a few incidents.
For instance, the last biggie ‘tiger hunting incident’ was more than
enough to make the audience stay glued to their television set.

The incident showed Jodha, taking out gunpowder from Akbar’ gun, in
an attempt to safeguard a deer from getting shot, but things went out of
control and turned fatal, when accidentally they were confronted by a
tiger in the jungle. The Mughal emperor, being weapon less, had to face
the tiger with just a dagger in hand.
Although, the fight was courageous and Akbar indeed proved himself to
be worthy of praise, he suffered a lot by way of animal attacks and
injuries, almost succumbing to them. Jodha, frantic and guilty, in the
due course had to undergo a lot of harassment from all corners, where
she was blamed for putting Akbar into the clutches of death.
Overcome with guilt and later with fear of losing her husband, she
had made her self-brewed concoction, to bring up a remedy to stop his
blood loss. Co-incidentally, the remedy worked and ‘Jalal’ was saved and
given a new boon of life.
Akbar now is well aware of Jodha’s remedy and looks melted. Well,
this looks quite cute, especially considering his blatant anger, which
had enveloped her poor queen in the jungle!
Maybe now they both will realize their love for each other and will confess the same!
All said and done, the audience is all keen to know how Jodha will
face the king when they meet next or what the king will say to his queen
when he faces his savior. If not for romance, then at least to keep
those hopes raised, the show will definitely chart some sky rocketing
TRP’s in the coming episodes for the same! Do stay tuned to watch
Jodha-Akbar, at 8 p.m from Monday to Friday, only on Zee TV.
My rapport with Rajat Tokas is no one's business, says Paridhi Sharma!

We often heard the back-stage love stories of many actors not only from Bollywood arena but also from smalls-screen world. We are familiar with some of the popular lead pairs of television industry who went to carry their love to nuptial vows. But there are some strange stories that also exist where onscreen couples don't get along with each other yet portray a madly-in-love couple in front of camera.
For instance, on-screen pair Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma of Balaji Telefilm's Jodha-Akbar, is said to have a diverse proportions for each other. If believe sources, their rapport is not good on the sets and they hardly talk to each other.
Well, as we see the love story between Jodha-Akbar is finally being unfolded on the show now, it is suspected if the equation between the lead pair has changed. When sources got in touch with Paridhi Sharma aka Jodha and asked her about the same, she said, “I think people are enjoying our onscreen chemistry. So what we do off-screen is no one's business.”
Further, when quizzed how easy or difficult is it to work with someone who is not on the same wavelength with you, Paridhi said, “When you are 100 percent dedicated towards your work, all these things hardly matter because then you are fully focused and concerned towards your character. It was a new experience for me but when I am working, it hardly matters to me on what kind of relationship I share with my co-star. Till the time we are justifying our characters and people like our work its fine with me.”
But, we believe smoke never exists without fire! We hope everything stay alright between the two!
Holi celebration to commence soon in Zee TV's Jodha Akbar!
Zee TV’s magnum opus Jodha Akbar has hit the right cord
of the audience and has become the number one show of the channel.
Thanks to the splendid performance by Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma and other supporting actors.
Now in an attempt to maintain the viewership, the makers (Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms) are ready to toss in some Holi celebration episode. What takes our interest high will be when Jodha convinces Akbar to play the Holi. So far, Akbar allowed her to build a temple in the mugal premises, then he also granted her to dress according to her religion and other miscellaneous promises Jodha asked from Akbar that too were fixed. But, now being a Muslim, will Akbar play with colors for the sake of her wife?
Here we have the answer too. As per the sources, not only Akbar celebrates the fest but he grants permission to the entire kingdom to celebrate Holi. “Jodha requests Akbar to grant permission to the entire kingdom to celebrate Holi. As a result of this, the people in the kingdom will get to celebrate the occasion with zest and fervour.”
Paridhi also confirmed the track saying, “How can anyone complain when offered a chance to play Holi in September? As actors, we rarely get a chance to celebrate many festivals. So when the rare occasion arises to celebrate it on-screen, we make the most of it.”
She added, “It has been so much fun shooting for this sequence. It was like a weeklong celebration. The cast and crew really got into the spirit of Holi while some even made thandai. We hope viewers have as much fun watching it as we had while shooting for the same.”
Jodha Akbar lends in legal trouble again!
Ever since Ekta Kapoor has launched her historical show Jodha Akbar on Zee TV, it has been surrounded with controversies. And latest trouble for the TV czarina Ekta comes from BJP MP Nazma Heptullah, who claims that the show is not showcasing appropriate things, which in turn destroys historical facts.
The show ran into controversy during the recent proceedings at Rajya Sabha. “Nazma demanded in Rajya Sabha that the serial be banned for depicting Akbar as tyrant who forcibly married and kept Jodha. Nazma said that the serial was tampering history and children are being shown history differently than what they studied in books,” informs report.
It is also informed that MP, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla has also come in support of Nazma and responded that he would convey the sentiments of MPs to Information and Broadcasting Minister and request him to take necessary steps on the issue.
Earlier, Rajput community members had also staged a protest demanding that the TV serial be taken off air, alleging distortion of historical facts by the maker of the programme. The protest went off only after Ekta’s visit to Jaipur and promises that she will change the name and story of the show.
Let’s see what Ekta has to react on this latest controversy now.
