Abhishek Sinha wins Sony TV's Boogie Woogie Kids Championship
The stage was set last night for the finale of Boogie Woogie Kids Championship and the Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan himself came up on stage to announce the winner.
And when the time came for the announcement, the legendary superstar, who was on the show to promote his film Bhootnath Returns, was all smiles to declare his son’s namesake Abhishek Sinha as the winner of the championship.
Pointing out to the kid that he already has his blessings, thanks to the name given to him by his mother, the Shahensha congratulated the little superstar on his win.
The Sony Entertainment Television show that shot off last year has been showcasing some wonderful talent by 16 talented kids from across the country and apart from Abhishek, Aryan Patra, Sachin Sharma, Priyanka Tapadar and Mohd Mumtaz were the finalists.
The top five contestants paid a tribute to the Big B, when they performed a medley of his hit songs. The actor later joined them on stage to shake a leg and perform his signature steps.
The legendary actor was in awe with the talent at display as he commented, “I am speechless after seeing all of your dancing talent.”
He later also shared on Twitter, “What astonishing and unbelievable acts of excellence from all. These finalists do an impersonation of my songs in my character clothing; so moving and humbling.”
Coming back to Abhishek, the young champ was awarded with the prize money of Rs 10 Lakh and was surprised when he got an addition of a Lakh that was sponsored by Horlicks for his bright future.
The 11 year old boy from Jamshedpur, who has been training in Bharat Natyam from the age of three, is currently learning Hip-Hop also from his brother who is also a great dancer.
Abhishek who got emotional on winning the prestigious trophy said he was inspired by Bollywood’s dancing superstar Hrithik Roshan.
Well, we wish Abhishek a great future ahead.

It was a laugh riot on Sony Entertainment Television’s Boogie Woogie (R&N Productions) as Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra howled, cried and jumped off their seats with laughter after they witnessed a spoof of their movie ‘Gunday’.
This 3-minute video titled ‘Gwaley’ is a hilarious take on their movie featuring Aryan and Sagar playing the lead along with Preetjyot essaying the negative character. The video left Arjun and Ranveer so amused that they off their seats and started jumping; unable to control their laughter.
Ranveer even picked up his chair to express his emotions. Dialogues like, “Agar Jigar ke jagah jigar hain, aur jigar mein Ajay Devgn hain”, had the actors rolling on the floor and laughing their guts out.
Arjun and Ranveer were really impressed with this spoof and even congratulated the creative team for their ingenuity and demanded for a copy of this video so that they could upload on various social networking sites.
Looks like the Bollywood Gunday have a stiff competition with the Gwaley’s of Boogie Woogie!
The episode will be aired on 15 February.

Aryan and Tanya’s performance with their choreographer Srikant will earn him the first BOO ring been given to a choreographer while Harmi and Bebachana’s dance with their choreographer Amit will have special guest judge Ganesh Hegde make his way on stage and kiss Harmi and grab Bebachana in his arms.
