Himesh to record songs with 'India's Raw Star' contestants
Composer Himesh Reshammiya, who made an appearance on the reality TV show "India's Raw Star" as a guest mentor, was so moved by the performances of the participants that he picked three contestants for his next venture.
The singer-cum-composer promised to record songs with Darshan Raval, Rituraj Mohanty and Akasa. Himesh will start recording with Rituraj first.
"It takes me eight months to usually find and promote new talent, but I am so happy to have these guys on the sets of 'India's Raw Star'. They are extremely talented and I am more than happy to record songs with Darshan, Rituraj and Akasa," Himesh said in a statement.
Singer Yo Yo Honey Singh is being applauded for the music show through which he brought raw talent from different part of the country in the spotlight. Himesh was nominated by Honey Singh for the position of mentor on the Star Plus show, as he himself is nursing an injury.
Taking inspiration from the talent around him, Himesh, who has tried his luck at acting through movies like "Kajraare", "Khiladi 786" and "The Xpose", composed a song on the set of the show and made Akasa sing it.
The episode will be aired Sunday.
This weekend India’s Raw Star
will see the phase two in the competition. After the elimination of
four artists last week, another round of talented artist will be making
an entry on the show.
Sagar from Delhi and Akasa from Mumbai will be the new challengers seen in the series. This week will also start the fresh round of voting.
This week Sachin and Jigar will be seen as the music mentors nominated by YO YO on the show.
And there is more surprise in store for viewers.
Apart from the entries, Aditya (Nakuul Mehta) and Pankuri (Disha Parmar) from the show Pyaar Ka
Dard Hai will be seen supporting the only girl contestant from Mumbai, Akasa.
This is not all as a special Yo Yo army will be seen on the show grilling all the artists.
The episode will air this Sunday 12 October at 7pm.

The ‘Singh is King’ singer Mika Singh and the very popular DJ Suketu will be seen in Star Plus’ India's Raw Star (SOL).
Yes, the upcoming weekend will be a DJ night special where Mika and DJ Suketu will pep up the floor with their singing and sound mixing.
Now, Yo Yo Honey Singh is the judge in India’s Rawstar and Mika and Honey recently came together to record a single named ‘Mast Kalandar’.
And we are sure fans of Mika, Honey and Suketu would have great fun watching all three on the stage.
