• Will MasterChef happen in Kannada?

It hasn’t been long since the south Indian versions of the popular cookery show MasterChef were announced. In fact, the shoot for the in Tamil and Telugu versions, which will be hosted by Vijay Sethupathi and Tamannaah Bhatia, is currently on in Bengaluru.

  In Kannada, Kichcha Sudeep was expected to host the show, but we now hear that it is unlikely to happen. A source from the channel says, “We were supposed to seal the final deal with Kichcha Sudeep, due to various reasons, we couldn’t do the show in Kannada. We are not ruling out reviving it later on, and are still hopeful of bringing Sudeep on board for the show.”

Format, Concept:

• The show will be on the lines of MasterChef Australia, with 15 contestants and three chefs as judges.
  
• The winner of the show will receive the Masterchef title and a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh. MasterChef will have an overall of 30 episodes.

Meanwhile, Sudeep who was supposed to host MasterChef in Kannada, is continuing to host Bigg Boss Kannada season 8. On the film front, he has wrapped up shooting for Vikranth Rona.
