  New show ‘Mon Mane Na’ is set to hit the small screen soon. The upcoming show will have an interesting jodi as the lead. Actress Pallabi Dey will be seen playing the female lead while the makers have roped in model-turned-actor Samm as the male lead. Samm is actor John Bhattacharya’s brother. Pallabi has been a part of many popular shows including ‘Resham Jhanpi’, ‘Kunjochchaya’ and ‘Ami Sirajer Begum’. She was recently seen in the comedy-drama ‘Saraswatir Prem’ starring Abhishek Veer Sharma opposite her.
  
• Versatile actress Anjana Basu is all set to be seen on television soon. She will play a pivotal role in the new television serial ‘Mon Mane Na’, produced by a leading production house.

Story:

  ‘Mon Mane Na’ will narrate a love story revolving around Gauri and Rudra. It is a story of a love and hate relationship between a guy who is uneducated and an educated woman who values principles above anything else. Rudra is rustic and a bit short-tempered.
  

Star Cast:

• Anjana Basu will essay a negative character in the upcoming TV-drama which will be launched on a popular television channel. Known for her power-packed performances, Anjana has done a number of films like ‘Jara Brishtite Bhijechilo’, ‘Angshumaner Chhobi’, ‘Byomkesh Phire Elo’ and others. ‘Bijoyini’, starring Swastika Dutta and Rudrajit Mukherjee as the lead, was her last show on television. Anjana played a renowned dancer in the show. Her powerful performance was appreciated by the audience. After the show, the actress decided to stay away from the small screen and concentrated on movies.

• The rival channels are also ready with their launches. ‘Sarbajaya’, which marks the comeback of veteran actress Debashree Roy is waiting for its premiere. The same channel is going to launch ‘Uma’ which will narrate the story of a cricket aspirant. Rumour suggests the makers are keen to cast a leading hero opposite Shinjinee Chakraborty in 'Uma'. Sources also suggest that Neel Bhattacharya’s name is on the top of the list as the male lead. Yet another TV channel is going to launch ‘Dhulokona’, ‘Shree Krishna Bhakto Meera’ and the new season of ‘Super Singer’.
