Roja, a popular daily soap, is all set to welcome a new character into the story. It has been learned that actress Sona Haiden is going to play a meaty role in Roja soon. Since the day Roja was launched, it has been gaining wide popularity and topping the TRP tables often. Actress Priyanka Nalkari plays the role of Roja, and the male protagonist character, Arjun, is played by Sibu Suriyan. In the TRP chart, Roja has always stayed at the top among the other soaps that have been telecast in prime time. But in recent times, Kayal, another daily soap aired around the same time, has pushed Roja to second place. Now the makers are striving to bring Roja back to first place. - Promo & Covid 19 impact: The series first promo was released on 2 April 2019 on YouTube by Zee Tamil. It stars Shivani Narayanan as both Anu and Abi. Later due to outbreak of COVID-19 and to pursue the opportunity of entering Bigg Boss, Shivani left the series. So, on August 2020, she was replaced by actress Chandini Tamilarasan. The production team finalised Kannada TV actor Karan Sagar for the role.
