Special show 'Chinna Kalaivaanar Vivek' to air on August 29 to pay tribute to late actor Vivekanandan. The channel airing the show has confirmed the same with a promo on their official media handles.
About the show:
- Vivek is fondly called Chinna ‘Kalaivaanar’ for his thought-provoking comedy in his movies and shows for over three decades now. Now, the special show is set to honor him.
- ‘Chinna Kalaivaanar Vivek’ is a ‘celebration’ of the actor with co-actors, comedians, technicians and others who worked with him.
- Besides, Vivek’s family members will also grace the show and share their
memories with Vivek. The other actors from the channel also will join
the special occasion to celebrate the actor and his contribution to the
entertainment industry.
- Vivek passed away on April 17 after suffering a cardiac arrest. This untimely demise has left the Tamil entertainment industry in shock.
- Vivek made his acting debut in the movie ‘Manathil Uruthi Vendum’ in 1987, which was directed by legendary director K. Balachander.
- Vivek acted in over 200 films featuring Rajinikanth, Vijay and Ajith Kumar. He is an environmentalist, too.
- The Padma Shri awardee is remembered for his praiseworthy service of planting more than 33 lacs trees under the Green Kalam project, which was initiated with guidance of former president Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
- ‘Chinna Kalaivaanar Vivek’ will be aired on August 29 in the noon slot.
