Bengali television is set to have some brand new shows very soon. Right from non-fiction shows to comedy and family-drama; a full platter of entertainment is waiting for the audience. One among them is ‘Khukumoni Home Delivery’. The upcoming show, starring Rahul Mazumdar and Dipanwita Rakshit, will be launched on November 1. The story revolves around a bubbly girl who runs a home delivery. Her culinary skills are worth mentioning. She prepares authentic Bengali dishes to treat the taste buds of her customers. Her life takes a new turn when she meets a guy named Bihan, who keeps himself away from social life because of a sordid past. Bihan isn't mentally stable too.- This is the
first time, Rahul and Dipanwita will share screen space. Prior to this,
Rahul has been a part of two television serials. His previous show ‘Debi
Choudhurani’, starring model and actress Sona Moni Saha was a major
hit. It made Rahul and debutante Sona Moni household names. Rahul has
movies to his credit, too. After the period-drama Debi Chowdhurani’s
success, he played the lead role in ‘Bhaggo Lokkhi’. The show had
actress Sharly Modak as the female lead. ‘Bhaggo Lokkhi’ couldn’t do
wonders on the TRP charts and went off-air much sooner than expected.
- Dipanwita,
on the other hand, played an antagonist in the first part of ‘Sanjher
Baati’, starring Rezwan Rabbani Sheikh and Debchandrima Singha Roy as
the lead pair. The show was a hit and is currently having a new season.
In ‘Sanjher Baati’, she played protagonist Charu’s stepsister Chumki.
She (Chumki) and her mom were the sole reason behind Charu’s several
sleepless nights. Both the actors are excited about their new show.
Besides ‘Khukumoni Home Delivery’, many new TV shows are in the pipeline
including Kanchan Mallick starrer ‘Basanta Bilash’ and veteran actor
Debshankar Halder-hosted non-fiction show.
