Actor Harish Raj has now joined the cast of serial Jothe Jotheyalli as Vishwas Desai, brother of a rich businessman, Aryavardhan. He plays an NRI who has returned to his motherland. Harish Raj says, “Jothe Jotheyalli is one of the popular serials on Kannada general entertainment channels. I am aware about the controversies around the serial. There are both positive and negative comments about my role on social media, but as an actor, I only consider my role which is key to the plot.” Talking about his role, he explains, “After suffering financial loss in business abroad, I return to my roots. There are lots of emotions which keep the plot going forward. I have allotted 15 days to the serial and rest of the days in the month to films.” The actor has completed 25 years in acting. “It feels like life has come a full circle. I started my career with television, and now I have made a comeback to television after 25 years, a sheer co-incidence. I am glad to have worked with legendary directors like Girish Kasaravalli, Maniratnam and Rajendra Singh Babu in films.” Harish will soon produce a movie, with him in the lead. “The project, which will have thriller elements, will go on floors soon.”

Speculations are rife that Harish Raj has replaced actor Anirudha Jatkar, who was allegedly ousted by the team. A source close to the team confirmed to ETimes TV that Harish Raj will be essaying a different character and not Aryavardhan. However, further details on Harish's on-screen role in Jothe Jotheyalli are yet to be revealed. In the video, the actress also mentioned that she will no longer be seen as 'Mansi' in the show. She also thanked viewers and fans for supporting her throughout the journey of Jothe Jotheyalli. Having said that, Shilpa also dropped a hint that she will soon be back on Kannada TV to entertain the viewers again with a new project. We wanted the wedding to be a grand affair, so it will be a visual treat for audiences. We have tried to capture the emotions of every character along with that the story. We had planned to have weddings in foreign destinations in the first lockdown. Post second lockdown, we gave up the idea because of budget constraints. Rajanandini's character will soon enter the serial. - A lost opportunity. Usual kannada soap with no story and never ending clichés. Director had this unique opportunity to showcase generation gap in relationship and the problems caused by that in relationship. But nothing such has been shown in this series. What a waste of time and effort and audience time too.
- The story is coming good but background music irritating due to more volume while character's are taking.
