‘Bouma Ekghor’ set to go off-air within 3 months of its launch, TV show ‘Bouma Ekghor’, starring Susmita Dey and Debojyoti Roy Chowdhury as the lead pair, is going to end soon. The news of ‘Bouma Ekghor’ going off-air had been making rounds in Tollypara. It has come as a surprise to many as the show was launched in May and is all set to conclude its journey this week.- According to the
industry insiders, the show wasn’t scoring well in terms of TRP despite
setting high hopes prior to the launch. The channel wasn’t happy with
the scores, according to sources and finally, the makers decided to end
the show even before it could complete a run of 6 months.
- Team
‘Bouma Ekghor’ is a bit upset as the show is ending much sooner than
expected. Meanwhile, the cast and crew have already wrapped up the
shooting on an emotional note.
- ‘Bouma
Ekghor ’narrates the story of Tiya, a girl who wants to marry a
well-established guy and settle in Dubai and male protagonist Raju
Ghosh, a car mechanic. The duo gets married following a major twist in
the story. Interestingly, the Ghosh family wants a working lady as their
bahu to compete with other members. Tiya lands in trouble when
mom-in-law asks her to find a job by hook or crook.
- The
light-hearted comedy, punched with some occasional emotion and drama,
is produced by Susanta Das. It features popular actors like Nibedita
Mukherjee, Arindam Ganguly, Subrata Guha Roy, Chaity Ghoshal, Indrajit
Majumder and others in prominent roles.
The serial went on air from May 2. The serial is directed by Argho Roychaudhury.

- Arindam Ganguly, Chaiti Ghoshal, Nibedita Mukherjee, Subrato Guha Roy, Sudip Sarkar, Susmita, Laboni Bhattacharya, and others.
- Popular television actor, Rajiv Bose, who is presently a part of the serial Lokkhi Kakima Superstar, will also be seen in a pivotal role in the new daily soap Bouma Ekghor.
- Rajiv plays the role of Aalok Ghosh in the serial. Talking about his character, Rajiv said, “I am the mejo chhele of Ghosh Bari. I manage my father’s sari shop. By nature, I am decent and soft spoken, and doesn’t like to be a part of any family feuds. It’s a positive character and I am really happy that after doing a negative roles continuously, finally I got an opportunity to do a positive role. I am looking forward to get feedback from the audience about this role.”
