Kannada TV shows bag nine awards at the prestigious ABBY 2022
- It rained gold, silver, and bronze for many Kannada TV daily soaps and reality shows in their very first outing at the ABBY SOUTH ASIA 2022 at the Goa Fest. From the best original music score for a TV program, best promo of a Kids' special TV show, best TV fiction promo, best TV reality show promo, to the best TV comedy show; Kannada television took home many prestigious titles under different categories from the event.
The daily soap Jothe Jotheyalli won the 'silver' award for its original music score. Jothe Jotheyalli narrates an unconventional love story of a couple belonging to different generations. The original title track, which has garnered 29M views across all platforms, wowed the audience and helped the show become a classic.
Best promo of a TV show for kids The promo for Drama Juniors season 4
- Featuring Crazy Star Ravichandran, Rachita Ram, and Lakshmi, which was high on entertainment and stagecraft, helped the reality show bag the 'silver' in the best promo of a TV show for kids category.
- Adding to the list of awards are daily soaps Gattimela and Sathya which won bronze in the Best TV fiction promo category.
- In the best TV reality show promo, the Golden gang, which traced the path of the friendship of several top celebs, won the bronze prize.
- Naagini 2 won the best TV fiction promo, while the best TV comedy show was bagged by Comedy Khiladigalu. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Championship was also rewarded with the best TV reality show promo, while the best original music score for a TV program was also secured by Puttakkana Makkalu.
