  Ismart Jodi winner: Sourav Saha and Susmita bag the title: The wait is over! Celebrity couple-based reality show ‘Ismart Jodi’ has found its winner. Outshining all other fellow celeb couples, Sourav Saha and wife Susmita won the title of the premiering season of ‘Ismart Jodi’. The winner jodi received a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh along with a diamond necklace set. While Sourav-Susmita won the first spot, Aneek Dhar and Debaleena became the first runner-up and Raja Goswami-Madhubani emerged as the second runner-up. Interestingly, Raja and Madhubani also won the Popular Choice Best Jodi based on the viewers' votes.
• ‘Ismart Jodi’, hosted by superstar Jeet, witnessed a star-studded finale night. Besides the film star setting hearts care faster with his charismatic appearance, the stage also welcomed some of the special guests. Film star Dev, his ladylove and actress Rukmini Maitra, Bollywood singer Shaan and wife Radhika graced the finale night as the special guests. While Shaan took the audience on a musical journey, Dev and Rukmini set the stage on fire with their sizzling chemistry. Jeet too made the audience groove with his power-packed performance. Actress Monami Ghosh, who will soon be seen judging the dance reality show ‘Dance Dance Junior Season 3’, made a special appearance on the show too. With her thumkas and sharp dance moves, the diva stole hearts yet again.
  
• The television show started its journey in March with 10 celebrity jodis. Later, it welcomed two celebrity couples as wild card entries. After several rounds of competition, only 6 pairs reached the finale. Sudip Mukherjee-Pritha, Jayashree-Bharat Kaul, Raja Goswami-Madhubani, Aneek Dhar-Debaleena, Sourav Saha-Susmita and Ankitaa Chakraborty-Prantik Banerjee as the finalists. Film star Jeet-hosted ‘Ismart Jodi’ is ready to crown its winner soon, the show will air its final round and announce one celebrity jodi as the winner. The premiere season of the couple-based show welcomed some of the very popular artists and their spouses as contestants. Sudip Mukherjee and wife Pritha are among them. Sudip, who is known for his natural acting s****s and has been a part of many popular shows and movies, unleashed a different side of him in the show. Viewers got familiar with the up-close-and-personal side of the actor, who played Anindya’s character in Bengali TV’s one of the most popular shows ‘Sreemoyee’.

  Actor Bharat Kaul on 'Ismart Jodi' journey: Learnt many things especially that I can dance and Jayashree can fight: Couple-based reality show ‘Ismart Jodi’, hosted by none other than film star Jeet, is just a few days away from crowning its winner. The show has already found its finalists. Sudip Mukherjee-Pritha, Bharat Kaul-Jayashree, Raja Goswami-Madhubani, Aneek Dhar-Debaleena, Sourav Saha-Susmita, and Ankitaa Chakraborty-Prantik Banerjee cemented their position in the finale by outshining other real-life jodis. Speaking about the journey, Bharat in a media interaction on Tuesday, said, “It has been a really beautiful journey. We earned love, made some beautiful relationships that are for life-time.”  The senior artist emphasised that they would have missed a lot if he hadn’t participated in the reality show. “I knew some of the participants prior to the show while I wasn't much familiar with others. In my career, I spent a few years in Mumbai and at that time, many talented artists had joined the industry. I worked with some of them after I came back to Kolkata but I'm yet to work with others. Interestingly, Ismart Jodi gave me the opportunity and the platform. Moreover, I learned many things and was quite surprised to know that I can dance (laughs). We (Bharat and Jayashree) performed dance numbers on the stage and were totally surprised. At the same time, quite a few tasks were really challenging and we had to push our envelope. Interestingly, only after coming here, I learned that Jayashree eto jhogra korte pare (Jayashree can fight so much),” he laughed out loud while sharing. Bharat’s better half Jayashree quickly objected. “Ami jhogra korina motei (I don’t fight at all). But it’s true that Ismart Jodi ignited the competitive side. Seeing others performing so well, I kept pushing myself to do better,” she added. Both Bharat and Jayashree shared that ‘Ismart Jodi’ helped them make some life-long friends. “We have found some really precious people. We bonded during the show and became so close that we miss if there isn’t any shoot. We all meet outside Ismart Jodi’s set, have adda, and enjoy food together. We cherish the relationships we made here,” said Jayashree. When asked which were the most challenging tasks in the show, Bharat shared that finding Jayashree in the busy streets of Kolkata was a really tough mission. “We performed some really interesting yet challenging tasks in the show. Preparing a huge egg roll and selling it was quite a task, the village round was also interesting. But the task where I had to find Jayashree in the busy street was the toughest. It was shot prior to Eid and due to the festive season, the New Market area witnessed a huge footfall. And I had to find Jayashree based on some clues which was a tough mission. We pulled it off somehow.”

  Semi-finale: Raja Goswami-Madhubani, Aneek Dhar-Debaleena and other celeb pairs to perform: Film star Jeet-hosted reality show ‘Ismart Jodi’ is all set for its gala semi-finale. The couple-based reality television show, which has several remakes after its successful run in Telugu, is having its first season on Bengali TV. The show features some of the most popular celebrities as the contestants and eventually inching towards its grand finale. Ahead of it, celebrity jodis will have a stiff competition in the semi-finale round which will be aired this weekend.

• Meanwhile, the makers have added interesting rounds and tasks which will not only spice up the high dose of entertainment but also add some fun quotient in the game show. The celebrity participants will be seen performing their best to secure a spot in the soon-to-be-aired finale. The team had a gala time while shooting for the semi-final round. ‘Ismart Jodi’, started its journey on Bengali TV in March almost right after the Hindi version ‘Smart Jodi’, hosted by Manish Paul was launched.
  
• The Bengali celebrity couple-based reality show began its journey featuring 10 pairs. Jeetu Kamal-Nabanita, ‘Kacha Badam’ fame Bhuban Badyakar and his wife were also among the contestants but they got eliminated. Sudip-ritha, Raja-Madhubani, Bharat-Jayashree, Rupankar-Chaitali, Aneek-Debleena are still a part of the show, while Rajeev-Mohini, Prantik-Ankitaa recently joined the team as wildcard contestants. It will be interesting to see who manages to reach the grand finale of the Jeet-hosted soon.

The participants were asked to prepare food in restaurants, serve it to the customers or sell it. Actors Bharat and Jayashree got an interesting challenge in which they had to prepare a 2.5 ft long egg roll and sell those to the customers too. Like a pro, the duo not only showcased their competitive best and prepared the egg roll but also sold it to the customers.
• On the other hand, Susmita and Sourav also happily served the customers in a restaurant. Other contestants also got similar challenges and had a gala time together during the shoot.
