Daily soap 'Ekka Dokka' to feature a new twist, Daily soap ‘Ekka Dokka’ has kept the audience glued to TV screen with its share of drama in the storyline. Featuring Aparajita, Sona Moni Saha and Saptarshi Maulik in prominent roles, the show is ready to take the entertainment quotient a notch higher with the new track. Launched in July, the show initially revolved around the rivalry of two families that is now continued by the new generation.- Meanwhile,
the makers are leaving no stone unturned to spice up the storyline
furthermore with frequent twists and turns. Recently, the viewers saw
how Pokhraj’s family is keen on welcoming Bublu as their bahu. With
this, actress Ipsita Mukherjee’s character was introduced to the story.
Soon, yet another twist followed, where Ankita and Radhika’s dad Dr.
Kushal was framed in a false case. Finally, when Ankita proved her dad’s
innocence in court, the family learned about Bublu’s proposed wedding
with Pokhraj. Now, makers are ready to spice up the track further more.
While Pokhraj’s family is elated about welcoming Bublu as bahurani,
there is a slight change in the story. Instead of Bublu, Radhika comes
to the mandap as bride. That’s not all, rebellious Pokhraj goes against
his family and marries Radhika for whom he has developed a soft corner.
Interestingly, Radhika and Pokhraj were arch-rivals once. However,
keeping their family history and enmity in mind which blew out of
proportion, they have now buried the hatchet.
- With
Pokhraj and Radhika’s wedding, ‘Ekka Dokka’ is surely ready to stage
some high-voltage drama. It will be interesting to see how the new twist
helps the show in terms of TRP.

- Meanwhile, Aparajita Ghosh,
Sona Moni Saha and Saptarshi Maulik starrer ‘Ekka Dokka’ is all set to
hit the small screen on July 18.
- It will be aired at a prime time slot and will replace ‘Aaye Tobe Sohochori’ from its usual timing.
- The Koneenica Banerjee starrer will be aired at 10 pm from July 18.

Aparajita, Bengali television’s one of the popular artists, will be seen on the small screen after a long time.- She was last seen in TV show ‘Kusum Dola’, starring Rishi Kaushik, Madhumita Sarcar and her in prominent roles.
- She will essay Sona Moni’s elder sister’s character in the upcoming television serial. Saptarshi, who made his television debut with ‘Thakumar Jhuli’ and later did ‘Sreemoyee’, will be playing the male lead. On the other hand, fans were eagerly waiting for Sona Moni’s new show after daily soap ‘Mohor’ wrapped up its journey.
- Interestingly both Saptarshi and Sona Moni will be seen essaying the roles of medical students in ‘Ekka Dokka’. According to the story, Pokhraj Sen (essayed by Saptarshi) and Radhika Majumder (played by Sona Moni) are final year students who are always at loggerheads. They are from different family backgrounds too. Sen family is rich and influential and runs a hospital. Radhika, on the other hand, is from a middle-class family and her dad is a medical practitioner too. While Pokhraj’s family believes in competition and encourages him to outshine his arch-rival Radhika in the exam, the latter’s family believes in a different philosophy. Radhika’s family inspires her to be a good doctor. What happens when Radhika and Pokhraj start working together in a hospital, forms the main crux of the story.
- The upcoming television serial has
an interesting cast which will feature Chandan Sen, Ashok Bhattacharya,
Anashua Majumder, Moyna Mukherjee, Malabika Sen, Sudip Mukherjee and
many other eminent artists in different characters.
