'Guppedantha Manasu' outshines 'Karthika Deepam' to become the most watched Telugu show

'Karthika Deepam', which has been the most watched Telugu daily soap for a long while, has lost its apex position to yet another popular show 'Guppedantha Manasu'. - Guppedantha Manasu featuring Mukesh, Raksha, Sai Kiran Ram, Jyothi Rai, and others in the lead roles has been giving Karthika Deepam a stiff competition for a while now. The show has finally overtaken Karthika Deepam by a narrow margin in the U+R category of the recently released TRP report. Though bringing back Deepa, Karthik and Monitha has worked in favour of Karthika Deepam, Guppedantha Manasu has been engaging fans with a compelling narrative, especially from the previous week.
- Karthika Deepam which was launched in 2017 while Guppedantha Manasu premiered in 2020. Mukesh and Raksha's crackling chemistry as Rishi and Vasudhara has struck a chord with the telly audiences and also young netizens within no time. Mukesh and Raksha adorn a loyal fan base on social media with many fan pages dedicated to them. Meanwhile, Karthika Deepam which has a stronger fan base has been the top most watched show with its rerun during the COVID-19 lockdown as well. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to bring back the show to its old glory.
- Meanwhile, 'Intinti Gruhalakshmi' starring Kasthuri Shankar, Indraneel, Prashanti and others has cemented its third spot on the TRP charts while Arjun Ambati and Suhasini starrer 'Devatha' is closely following at the fourth spot. Priyanka Jain and Amardeep's 'Janaki Kalaganaledu' stood at the fifth spot in the latest TRP report.
- Popular daily soaps 'Trinayani' and 'Radhamma Kuthuru' shared the sixth spot perhaps for the first time while Ennenno Janmalabandham stood seventh in the TRP charts.
