Sony TV's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain continues with Ram-Priya 'milaap' track

Seems like the creative department of Balaji Telefilms’ Bade Achhe Lagte Hain has gone on a break.
Wondering why are we saying so?

Well, this is because the Sony Entertainment Television show has been carrying on with the same track for the longest possible time and it is still revolving around the same.

The lovely couple Ram (Ram Kapoor) and Priya (Sakshi Tanwar) have been facing a difficult time with their daughter Pihu (Sonia Balani) trying to create a difference between them. But thankfully their family members are trying to broker peace between the two.

And with Rajat’s (Samir Kochhar) entry, things are looking quite positive in the lives of Ram and Priya.

In the coming episodes the track will still revolve around this trio. Apart from that the love angle of Pihu, Sammy (Lavin Gothai), Suhani (Ekta Kaul) and Kush (Ankit Narang) will also be highlighted.

On one hand Ram and Priya will decide to get Suhani and Kush married before she delivers her baby, Sammy, on his part, will be hell bent to get Suhani back in his life. And Pihu will have a dual task of eradicating Suhani and Priya from the lives of Sammy and Ram respectively.

Youngistaan leads Jackky and Neha on Sony TV's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain

The MSM co-produced film Youngistaan is getting a lot of promotional space in the company owned channel Sony Entertainment Television. The lead actors of the film Jackky Bhagnani and Neha Sharma have been making rounds in most of the shows in the channel.

After being in CID, Boogie Woogie, Desh Ki Beti Nandini, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan now the actors will pave way in Balaji Telefilm’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.

Movie promotions have been definitely tolling high on television these days. The duo on their part is also leaving no stone unturned to promote their upcoming film Youngistaan.

Coming back to BALH, the actors will be seen sharing screen space with the recently re-entered Sameer Kochhar who plays Rajat Kapoor in the show.

This special episode will be shot today.

Ram to take Priya along to Delhi for a business trip in Sony TV's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain

We had earlier reported about the couple of the millennium Ram (Ram Kapoor) and Priya (Sakshi Tanwar) rekindling their love for each other that was kept in hiding by their family once again in Sony Entertainment Television’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Balaji Telefilms).

And now to add some quality time in their relationship, the couple will head towards Delhi. But sadly it won’t be a romantic outing but a business trip. It will so happen that when Ram will be asked to visit Delhi for an important business trip he will make sure that his wife also would go along with him. Although the couple has been wanting to spend some time together, they have not been able to get a chance to do so.

Informs a source, “This is when Ram would decide to take Priya along so that they can have some time away from family and responsibilities.”

And soon a fun outing will come along when both will continue to tease and pester one another. Ram will make fun of Priya asking her why she hasn’t informed anyone in her family about them going together. He will go on to add that unlike her he has had enough courage to tell his family that he was going to Delhi along with her.

Knowing very well that he hadn’t spoken a word about them both going together to Delhi, Priya will slyly tell him that she would call Pihu (Sonia Balani) to ask if she has any problem with them (Ram and Priya) going together. This is when Ram will confess that he too hasn’t told anyone about the trip.

So what all will happen with the couple in their outing together? Will they finally get back leaving their egos aside?

Love triangle to create a lot of drama in Sony TV's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain

Confusion in love is paving way to a lot of drama in Sony Entertainment Television’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Balaji Telefilms).

With the young crop of characters taking the show forward, their love story is currently creating a lot of twists with a love triangle forming between Pihu (Sonia Balani), Sammy (Yuvraj Thakur) and Suhani (Ekta Kaul).

A source informs, “Even though Sammy and Suhani are deeply in love with each other, Pihu has started developing feelings for Sammy. And she, being a spoilt brat, has promised to get Sammy in her life.”

On the other hand, Sammy has always considered Pihu as his good friend and will be shocked when he will come to know about her feelings. Further things will go out of hand with the families going ahead to arrange their marriage believing that both of them like each other.

The poor Suhani will be heartbroken and would want Sammy to get married to her soon and formalize their relationship. But Sammy will first want to make a career for himself and then think about marriage. Getting to learn about this a saddened Suhani will find solace in her friend and Pihu’s younger brother Khush (Aditya Kapadia).
“Here Pihu will pledge to get Sammy and thus will plan to trap him through her moves,” adds the source.

What will be Pihu’s next move? Will she manage to get Sammy or Suhani will save him?

Bollywood party night on Sony TV's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain

 

It’s party time on Sony Entertainment Television’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Balaji Telefilms) and that too in style!
Wondering why?

Well, the show had kept the audience glued with the love story of Ram (Ram Kapoor) and Priya (Sakshi Tanwar) and now post the leap, the next generation has been entertaining the viewers with some fresh plots.

In the show, Ram’s foster son Khush (Aaditya Kapadia) has bagged a role in a Bollywood film and to celebrate his success, he will be seen throwing a Bollywood theme party for the family.

And it will be true gala affair with the entire family getting together and grooving to some really peppy numbers. Also to add to the fun, all of them will copy their favourite stars leading to some really fun moments.

The party will be a typical Bollywood masala blockbuster where Khush will be dressed as Ranbir Kapoor, Suhani (Ekta Kaul)-Sammy (Yuvraj Thakur)- Pihu (Sonia Balani) will come in the character of Anjali-Rahul-Tina from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Neha (Tarana) and Vikram (Jai Kalra) as Paro and Devdas. The grand party will mark an end when Ram will make an entry as the super hero Shah Rukh Khan from Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Priya to leave Ram's house in Sony TV's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain

Drama! Drama! Drama!

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Balaji Telefilms), the popular show on Sony Entertainment Television with a stellar star cast, has been inundated with drama all along.

After Priya’s (Sakshi Tanwar) coming out of coma after a long time, people were excited to see her standing on her feet once again. But the woman, who missed on her children’s growing age and the love of her husband Ram (Ram Kapoor), will be soon seen shedding tears.

Well to give you the details, her children, who had grown close to Ram’s friend Juhi (Subhavi K), were giving Priya sleepless nights with their bad behavior towards her.

And now Priya will come to know that Ram was all set to marry Juhi while she was a vegetable on the hospital bed. Ram, who wanted to help Juhi with her child’s custody, had decided to marry her. And before he could take the vows with her, Priya had popped out of coma and was asked not to give her any shocks. Ram later withheld talking about anything.

“But now in the coming episode, Priya will get to know about it and will be badly shattered,” informs a source. Priya, who had given her life for her husband and his family, will feel betrayed and hurt and will thus decide to leave the Kapoor mansion to live alone.

Earlier also, Priya had separated from Ram after some misunderstanding.

Let’s see how this track opens to a new storyline next on the show.

Post coma, Priya finding it difficult to cope with her family in Sony TV's Bade Acche Lagte Hain

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Balaji Telefilms), the popular show on Sony Entertainment Television has seen a huge change with the leap and inclusion of new characters. But the person who is feeling most confused (as per the plot) with the changes is Priya (Sakshi Tanwar).

Yes, the woman, who went into coma after a lot of drama with her daughter Pihu (then Aanchal Munjal), has finally regained consciousness. And as soon as she opened her eyes, the world has seemed to have gone haywire for her.

Firstly, her loving husband Ram Kapoor (Ram Kapoor), who was all set to marry his friend Juhi (Shubhavi K) who looked after his children when his wife laid still on the hospital bed, will be in a soup trying to figure out his next plan of action.

With the doctor strictly advising Ram to keep Priya stress free, he will find it difficult to tell her the truth. But as luck would have it, Priya will soon find out the reality.

A source informs us, “But a devoted wife that she is, Priya will forgive Ram and understand the situation on which he agreed to marry Juhi.”

But Priya’s woes will not end here. The lady, who had grown up in a middle-class family, would now like to enforce the importance of money on her children. But her daughters especially Pihu (Sonia Balani) who have lived a luxurious life in their mother’s absence will be left enraged by their mother’s interference.

“Her daughters would go against her and tell her that Juhi would have been a better mother to them. This will hurt Priya badly,” adds the source.

How will Priya cope with all this confusions and hatred? And will Juhi take Priya’s place?

Why Pihu is going against Priya in Bade Ache Lagte Hain?

Parenting is never an easy task for any parents. Despite their well-managed, disciplined, mannerly ways of bringing the children up, some kid’s go on the wrong path snubbing the guidelines of their parents. The same scenario would soon be seen in Sony Television Entertainment’s family show Bade Ache Lagte Hain where Priya and Ram (Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor) will see getting fail to give an idolised way of living to their daughter Pihu.

Not only Pihu, but their other twines daughter Myrah and Pari will also go against Priya. The audience of the show will get to see some high voltage drama with this track where things in Priya’s life take big turn when her daughters behave unmannered way.

As per the ongoing track, Priya is back to the house after fighting with coma and will soon start restricting the daughters with the way they are using their pocket money or even going out with their friends to party.

Pihu on the other side does not like this interference of her mother in her freedom and will soon start comparing Priya to Juhi, who is also not a dominating mother for their kids. With time all three daughters will be seen going against Priya and support Juhi as a better mother.

Well it will be interesting to see how Ram Kapoor will react to this.

While talks about Sakshi Tanwar leaving the show are doing the rounds, the audience, especially after yesterday’s episode, is not willing to accept the rumor. In fact, the pre-cap for today’s episode, where a comatose Priya was seen with a little slight movement in her finger made the audience become expectant with her revival soon.

The storyline is getting quite racy with Priya’s organ failure, calling for immediate organ transplant, while Ram rushes to meet a dying Priya, leaving his marriage mid way with Juhi and family members grieving, yet doing ‘Mahamrtyunjay’ path to get Priya back. So with all the elements of melodrama, some practical hard work as in arranging organs and of course godliness, Balaji telefilms is indeed spiraling the story in the right direction.

Considering the ongoing turn of events, where Ram meets an accident, by colliding with the ambulance carrying Priya’s transplant organs, Rajat’s re-entry into the show, especially as the savior of Ram and Priya, might be hinting at a hell lot of interesting twists ahead.

We all know how Rajat (played by Samir Kochchar), Priya’s boss cum friend, a Dubai based businessman, played a pivotal role in Priya’s life. The character made a decent exit when the love birds, Ram and Priya re-united after a five year hiatus. While then, he played a major role in getting the lead protagonists’ together, will his re-entry this time be something similar?

Well, it can be, especially now that he’s back and keen to see Priya alive and happy, he might once again be given a pivotal role in uniting Ram and Priya. However, the journey to get the duo back on track will be quite interesting.  Stay tuned to watch ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’ every night at 10.30 p.m from Monday to Thursday, only on Sony channel.

Bade Achhe...completes 500 episodes

Sony Entertainment Television’s flag bearer show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Balaji Telefilms) adds yet another feature in its cap with the completion of 500 episodes.

This Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar starrer show will complete 500 episodes tonight (16 October 2013) however; there will be no part for the team today.

As per a reliable source the team is currently running short of an episodic bank hence, they are concentrating on the shooting.

Expressing his happiness actor Ram Kapoor said, “I am happy that the show has stayed this long and I’d want it to complete 500 more episodes. I am also very happy about the addition of some new faces in our cast.”
Senior EVP & Business Head, SET, Sneha Rajan chose to share her feelings in mere two words, “Simply beautiful.”
Lastly Jai Kalra went on to aver, “500 is an amazing number at a time when shows go off-air within 100 episodes.”

Bade Achhe Laggte Hain to witness Samir Kochhar's re-entry!

Balaji Telefilm’s family show Bade Achhe Laggte Hain has currently been witnessing some new entries and exits of many characters. Recently, Fenil Umrigar was replaced by Sonia Balani. Now soon audience will see a re-entry of the character Rajat Kapoor, played by Samir Kochhar.

The anchor-turned-daily soap actor will be seen reprising his older character and come as a savior to Priya Kapoor, played by Sakshi Tanwar. Talking about his returns, Samir, who is doing the show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain only because of his good terms with producer Ekta Kapoor, said, “Rajat returned to Dubai after realizing that he couldn't be with Priya. However, he returns now after learning of a crisis where lives, Priya’s in particular, could be lost.”

As we know the show has taken another time-leap, we wonder how Rajat’s character would be re-introduced on the show. About the same Samir said, “I do not have kids on the show and my character is such that age has never been a prerequisite. Yes, I am playing an older character but his age has never been defined nor is he married, so it doesn't bother him as it's a strong character. I am glad to be a part of the show again as it has given me a lot of household recognition.”

Sonia Balani has been zeroed in to play Pihu in Bade Ache Lagte Hain!

Producer Ekta Kapoor has finally finalized her new Pihu for Bade Ache Lagte Hain after doing a lot of auditions. Telly actress Sonia Balani, who is currently seen in Suvreen Guggal Topper of The Year on Channel V has been finalized to play the role of Pihu.

Currently, Fenil Umrigar plays Pihu, daughter of Ram and Priya (Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar) on the show but citing her discomfort of playing negative character she decided to quit the show. “Yes, I have quit the show. When I was narrated about my character, I was told that my character would be arrogant. Now my character has extremely gone negative,” confirmed Fenil.

Fenil was last seen in Best Friends Forever, she added, “I did not want to do negative character and hence I quit the show. Furthermore I am planning to take up only positive roles in the show just like what I played in the show V Best Friends Forever?, where the audience liked my work and appreciated too.”

While on the other side, makers have confirmed her replacement with Sonia. “Sonia has started shooting and her promo will soon hit the tube. This is a big break for Sonia and she is trying her best to impress the viewers with her acting chops,” said unit sources.

The excited Sonia confirmed her presence in Bade Ache Lagte Hain saying, “I will give the character my 200 percent to make it work for me.”

From the precaps and promos of last week, it was evident that this week, the audience was all set to witness grand wedding preparations of Pihu and Mandeep. However, the events, all of a sudden, took a U-turn and we witnessed sour relations and alliances being called off!

With last night’s episode, where Ram called off the engagement and also Mandeep accused Pihu of cheating on him and being a characterless girl, things broke quite easily. Ram was shown to be a little skeptical about the alliance a little, especially when the fake jewellery episode happened with the groom’s parents. Still he had kept quite because Mandeep had convinced him that he wanted to marry Pihu, only because he loved her and not because of some inheritance.



Not fully convinced though, Ram had little choice of thinking. He gave in reluctantly, but only to be relieved later. In the function, while everyone was busy merry making and dancing to some raunchy Hindi film songs, Mandeep is suddenly met by a friend, who says something to him, while pointing at Pihu. Well, it turns out a huge level of gossip about the bride, stating that she was ‘commitment phobic’ and a party animal, who loved toying with the idea of marriage because she was into dating 5 men at the same time!

Now this level of accusation shocked all, including Pihu, but the man most affected by this level of comment was Ram. He immediately called the marriage off, without blinking. Satisfied deep down, he was shown to heave a sigh a relief as he did not want his promise to Priya to get broken. After all, he had promised her that he will look after Pihu and marry her off into a good family.

While things are relatively better for his daughter, not much can be said about Ram. The precap for the forthcoming episode shows Ram stating that Rajiv’s case is strong. While Juhi, shows the urge to get married soon, creating a question mark in the minds of the audience, Ram says he will have to either divorce Priya, which he doesn’t want to do or he has another option.

With so much thrills and adrenaline rush situations, I’m sure you all are eager to know what the second option will turn into. Stay tuned to watch the next episode, when Ram voices out his options and decides on with his life.

Seven year leap in ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hain’ is a big disappointment for fans [Review]

The successive time leap has gone a tad bit awry this time! ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hain’, which witnessed its third time leap yesterday, has fallen on completely flat with the audience. The primary reason is that many things were served on the platter too quickly, especially when the audience was still not done with its first course!

In short, the second time leap which happened just last month was going pretty strong and the audience was growing used to the time leap, but bang! The sudden, third time leap has thrown them off track and now they are too stressed taking in loads of information in one go.

While questions like what happened to Pihu and Varun, post Priya’s accident, or Ram’s reaction to Priya’s state are all left unanswered.

And considering the introductory episode last night, everything seemed quite hunky dory and all the characters looked cheery, something that the audience did not expect, especially when their favorite lead protagonist was on death bed. The audience would have liked to see some remorse on Pihu rather than her grown up version dancing on ‘Radha teri chunri’!

This time leap does not seem to have worked well. The makers of any show should understand that ‘time leap’ should not be made a formula, where they add the concept, whenever they feel like. Rather than using ‘time leap’ as a stunt for gaining mileage or for participating in some ‘formula’ based daily soap competition, it should be used as a prop to give some shape to the story .

The script of the show should not look out of sync or too random or simply too sudden with a ‘time leap’, which unfortunately looks like in ‘BALH’. This time, the leap, instead of striking gold, has spelled utter disappointment.

I hope the makers are listening and would do something about it. In fact, ever thought of adding a ‘flash back’ in place of ‘time leap’? Maybe you can win the TRP’s by using the concept, as it would be the first of its kind! What say?

Bade Acche Lagte Hain to add a new actor in the form of Charlie Chauhan!

A bundle of young actors get attached to Sony Entertainment Television’s popular show Bade Acche Lagte Hain, post its seven years leap. And the makers Balaji Telefilms has again come up launching another young gun on the show.

As per the reports beautiful and petite Charlie Chauhan, who rose to fame through MTV Roadies, will join the cast and play a cameo role. The actress was earlier seen in Channel V’s Best Friends Forever and dance reality show Nach Baliye of Star Plus. Interestingly, she will share screen space with her former co-star Fenil Umrigar, who has been roped in to play Pihu, eldest daughter of Ram and Priya (Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar).

About Charlie’s role, sources said she will play a nurse. “She will take care of Priya (Sakshi Tanwar) who is in a state of coma. Since Pihu’s (Fenil Umrigar) character has turned negative, Charlie will help Priya in the hospital,” they added. Charlie will begin shooting soon.

Apart from Charlie and Fenil, young TV actors namely Vinti Idnani, Yuvraj Thakur and Pragati Chourasia have joined the cast of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.

With Pihu all grown up and in her teens and also two younger siblings in tow, Ram and Priya are definitely looking like parents with their hands full on! With the latest 8 year leap in the popular show ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hain’, the duo has a lot to watch out for in their lives and in their children’s lives respectively.

Ever since the show took a time jump, the script suddenly went teeming with new faces, including Pihu’s teen avatar, which is now being played by the Anchal Munjal. The teen actor was last seen in the show ‘Parvarish…’ The actor says that she’s hopeful that she will be accepted whole heartedly by the audience as the new teenaged Pihu from the show.
