  • Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 Grand Finale: Amitabh Bachchan bids emotional adieu to the show; shares about the new season returning
  • The finale episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 begins with Antara Mitra's musical performance on Kesariya, Sreeram Chandra's musical performance on Deva Deva and Shilpa Rao brings them all together. Amitabh Bachchan gets emotional as he talks about the memories that he created with the show. He reveals that he would miss the hot seat and the love from the audience.
  • Amitabh Bachchan introduces the last batch of contestants and begins with the first round of Fastest Finger First. After the first round, he invites Numan Ali to the hot seat. Numan is a Software Engineer from Kalburgi, Karnataka. Big B begins with the game and asks the first question, Later Amitji asks the 12th question worth Rs 12,50,000: Estimated to live 100s of years, which is the world's longest living vertebrate? Numan fails to answer and decides to quit. He takes home Rs 6,20,000. The correct answer for it is Option B: Greenland Shark.
  • Amitabh Bachchan then starts with his second round of Fastest Finger First and invites Riyanka Sharma to the hot seat. She is a Junior assistant at IIT Indore. After a brief introduction, they begin with the game and Big B asks the first question later Amitabh Bachchan asks her the 9th question worth Rs 1,60,000: (Image question) Which of the following is not true about this animal? (Animal is Hippopotamus) Due to the time pressure, Riyanka chooses Option D: It is found in Africa which is the wrong answer. The right answer is Option B: It can breathe underwater. Riyanka takes home Rs 10,000.
  • After the hooter at the end, Big B again spoke about his journey as a host and bonded with the audience. He said that he will take numerous memories connected with the contestants that took over the hot seat on the show with him. He even shared that soon in a few months the new season of the show will be back. Till then the hot seat of this stage will be dearly missed.

  • Amitabh Bachchan concludes filming for 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 14', Last Episode:
    Megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Thursday announced that he has wrapped shooting for the 14th season of his popular quiz reality show "Kaun Banega Crorepati". Bachchan shared the news on his official blog, posting several pictures from the sets of the long-running show.
    "The last day of the show and the greetings from them that work so hard to make KBC what it is... A farewell or a bye to be back hopefully next year again... And the return gift from me... A moment of DEEWAR... and the emotions," the 80-year-old veteran wrote in the blog."KBC" season 14 premiered on Sony Entertainment Channel in August and will conclude later this month. Bachchan has hosted "KBC" since its inception in 2000, except for the third season in 2007, which was hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
  • Besides hosting the popular show, the veteran star had a busy 2022 as he featured in five films -- "Jhund", "Runway 34", "Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva", "Goodbye" and "Uunchai".


The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 starts with Amitabh Bachchan introducing the contestants and playing the 'fastest finger round'. After winning FFF, 9-year-old Anshuman Pathak from Bengaluru makes it to the hot seat. The little boy shares that he wants to be a video game developer when he grows up. Anshuman got a greeting card for Big B with a beautiful message wishing him great health and happiness. Host Big B starts the game with him and asks him the first question for 1000 points. For building which of these would usually use these objects? It was an image question and Anshuman selects Option B) House. He complains to Big B that while sight seeing Mumbai, he visited his bungalow and waited outside for hours to get his glimpse but he did not come outside. The megastar asks him if he should have informed him that he was coming, he would have met him. Anshuman asks him for his number and Big B says "Abhi bata dungi aapko main'.


  • Amitabh Bachchan discovers 'gyan ki shakti' in the first crorepati of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 14'
    Megastar Amitabh Bachchan asked 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 14' contestant Kavita Chawla why a cheque for Rs 3,20,000 meant so much to her after she expressed her joy over getting it. Chawla, who went on to become the reality quiz show's first 'crorepati' this season, said in her answer to him that she was once earning Rs 20 a day once and now, using her intelligence, she was getting that substantial amount in a matter of just a few hours. Bachchan then said that she was endowed with 'gyaan ki hakti' -- her "superpower" was her knowledge.
  • The contestant said: "Till date, this is my first big earning which I have now received on the stage of 'KBC'. I remember there was a time when I would work on my sewing machine for eight hours and for those hours I would only get Rs 20 in a day. From Rs 20 to Rs 3,20,000, it has taken me 30 years to reach this milestone." Chawla is a homemaker from Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The 45-year-old contestant told the host that she shares a close bond with her son Vivek and wants to spend the amount she wins on his education. She will attempt the Rs 7.5 crore question on September 19 and September 20.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 14: Ajay Devgn's film Tanhaji helped Harsh Poddar from Delhi to answer this Rs 50,00,000 question


  • Brij Kishor Singh
    , from Surat, a diamond cutter. He had won Rs 1,60,000 in the previous episode and Big B presented the question for Rs 3,20,000 which he failed to answer and came directly down to Rs 10,000. Big B read out, Which of these cities is well-known as a hub of the International diamond industry? Brij Kishor used his second lifeline 50-50 but could not guess the right answer. The correct answer was: Option C, Antwerp, Belgium.
  • After Brij Kishor Singh made an exit from the show, Big B played yet another round of Fastest Finger First and Harsh Poddar from Delhi made it to the hot seat. While welcoming him to the show, Mr Bachchan revealed this is the first on the show that a contestant has got all the three questions right in less span of time. The 35 year old is in the business of medical supplies after belonging to a family of doctors and having a wife, who is a dentist. During his introduction, the contestant spoke about how he got into the business of medical supplies after coming from a family of doctors. He also talked about his father who guided his way to the business model and helped clear his doubts.
  • Mr Bachchan then resumed the game with Harsh Poddar. The first question for Rs 1000 which Harsh faced was an image question. According to a Hindi proverb, which animal's tail does not become straight? He chose A) Image option A and got it correct. After answering the next few questions, he reached the first Padhaav of Rs 10,000. Which of these deliveries is also called a 'bumper'? He chose C) Bouncer and cleared the first hurdle.
  • They chatted about their favourite cricketers, but Big B refused to share the name of his favourite Indian cricketers and joked that had he not been an actor, he would have worked in diplomatic services. He reasoned saying that all are his friends and if he misses out anyone's name, they would beat him up.
  • For the Rs 20,000 question, Harsh was shown a scene from a film and was asked: What was the name of the original film that this Hindi film is a remake of? Harsh confidently said Option A) Arjun Reddy.
  • The megastar then quizzed Harsh about who takes who to the movies and since Harsh is a huge film fanatic, he took his name. But when Big B confirmed with his wife, she stated that they both take each other out for movies. The KBC host enjoyed the cute nok jhok between the husband-wife duo and stated that he wanted to see this.
  • Continuing the game further, Big B read out the next question for Rs 40,000. Which of these names is that of a gate of the Red Fort in Delhi? Harsh swiftly answered B) Lahori Gate and it was the right answer. Answering the next few questions with his logical thinking and without any help, Harsh left Big B impressed and he praised the former for it. Harsh reached the second 'Padhaav' for Rs 3,20,000: Which of these animals is also known as 'Killer Whale'? Harsh was not sure of the answer and he used his first lifeline 'Audience Poll'. The correct answer was A) Orca.
  • Big B then chats with Harsh about his marital life and he shares whenever he's happy or returns from work happy, his wife, but before he could complete the statement, Big B takes over and says, “Today you are smiling too much who did you meet". Harsh quickly asks Big B “Arey sir does this happen with you too?” Big replies saying “Sir it's a universal truth." He further shares a few incidents and the host and the audience laugh their hearts out.
  • Big B then asks the 11th question for Rs 6,40,000. On 16th February 2022, Shri Amit Shah presided over a ceremony marking the 75th raising day of which of these organisations? Harsh is not very confident of the answer and decides to take 'Video Call A Friend' lifeline's help. However, his friend is not able to help. He then uses his other lifeline 50-50, the two options that his friend had mentioned were erased. He takes a wild guess but with a logical thinking. He selects option B) Delhi police.
  • Mr Bachchan read out the question for Rs 12,50,000. This is Rufus, a hawk used to keep pigeons away from which iconic sporting venue in London? He was shown an image. Harsh again applied logic while answering and selected Option D) Wimbledon, leaving Big B impressed.
  • While answering the next question for Rs 25,00,000, Harsh went with his gut feeling. Which businesswomen's first major venture started in a garage and involved extracting an enzyme from papayas? He was very confident about option A) Kiran Mazumdar - Shaw and the answer turned out to be correct. Big B congratulated Harsh saying, "Well done".
  • The game progressed ahead and Big B asked the 14th question for Rs 50,00,000 to Harsh. John Dryden, England's first poet laureate, wrote a play named after which Mughal emperor in 1675, while the meroro was still ruling? Harsh, who is a huge movie buff which he had confessed earlier, once again applied logic. Taking the reference from Ajay Devgn's film Tanhaji, he went with Option C) Aurangzeb. He kept giving the film Tanhaji's reference. He won Rs 50,00,000 and requested all the parents and future parents that they should never stop their kids from watching movies. This left Big B super happy and he stated, "Aap ko badhiyi aur aap ke muh mein ghee he nahi bahut saara shakar bhi".
  • Harsh revealed on the show that he plans to open a dentist clinic for his wife and that is the dream the couple share. During the break, few people from the audience requested Harsh to take them out for lunch and he promised them. Big B then pulled his leg saying that he would need Rs 1 crore to take the entire audience. Mr Bachchan asked the next question for Rs 75,00,000: Which of these flowering plants does not get it's name from a person? As Harsh was not aware of the answer, he decided to quit the game and didn't want to take a chance. The correct answer was: B) Gladiolus. He took home the prize money of Rs 50,00,000.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 premiered last night (August 7) and Dhulichand becomes the first contestant to reach the newly introduced step in the show. The makers have added an extra question after Rs 50 lakh – Rs 75 lakh and contestant Dhulichand is the first one to reach the level. The promo from the upcoming episode released by the makers gives a glimpse of it.

Aamir Khan was the first celeb guest on KBC 14's special premiere episode, celebrating 75th year of India's Independence.
  • For Rs 40,000, Aamir and Col. Mitali Madhumati were asked - This sculpture in Kerala is believed to mark the spot where which mythological figure fell? A visual was shown to them and their options were - Jatayu B) Garuda C) Sampati D) Aruna.
  • Aamir was super confident and he replied, Jatayu. It was the correct answer.
 

  • KBC 14 Premiere: Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan salute Major DP Singh and Colonel Mitali Madhumita for their bravery,
    Sunday with a special episode of 'Aazadi Ke Garv Ka Mahaparv' celebrating 75 years of India's Independence. Started with a patriotic poem. Big B said he has returned to the show after 232 days. Big B welcomed Aamir Khan, Major DP Singh, a Kargil war veteran and Colonel Mitali Madhumita. Aamir shared the story behind Big B getting him onboard on Twitter. The Bollywood actor said he only used the platform to promote his films or the ones made by his friends. Big B said he should do KBC's 'prachar' as well. Aamir tells him KBC doesn't need any 'prachar'. Colonel Mitali Madhumita narrated how a facility at the Indian Embassy in Kabul was attacked. She didn't know the attack was on their people. She shared how she took the help of Afghanis and rescued many. For this she was awarded the Sena Medal. Amitabh Bachchan stood up and saluted her for her courage. After winning Rs 40,000, Major DP Singh took the place of Col Mitali on the hot seat. For a question related to Dev Anand, Aamir Khan and Major DP Singh used their first lifeline. After they won Rs 50 lakh, they had exhausted all their lifelines and chose to exit the game.
  • Next, MC Mary Kom and Sunil Chhetri were welcomed by Amitabh Bachchan. The two mention the charities they'd be donating their prize money to. The two of them didn't know the first question and decided to use a lifeline - audience vote. Thereafter, they moved swiftly up the ladder. Sunil Chhetri showed everyone football tricks and even made Big B complete his dialogue from the movie, Mr Natwarlal. The guests and the host continued the game. Mary Kom and Sunil Chhetri used two lifelines to answer the question that made them win Rs 12.5 lakh. However, time was soon up after they won Rs 25 lakh.

  • Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who is making headlines for his upcoming movie, has now reached the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Aamir along with boxing champion Mary Kom the first guests of the show. The two megastars posed for the paps as they reached the KBC set. Amitabh Bachchan also began shooting for the show yesterday. The promos of the quiz show are already on air.

About the Season 14: New Rules
  • Kaun Banega Crorepati will be back for its 14th season, but with some twits this time.
  • The show will now have a new slot of Rs. 75 lakh. The interesting thing about it is that the changes have been made to pay respect to the 75th Independence Day.

  • Big B also wrote a lengthy post about returning as the host of the show this year.
  • He took to his blog and wrote, "Back to the boards and the apprehension and fears and doubts arise again .. and each season presents itself similarly .. others think otherwise .. they are not wise , or in due process of the understanding needed to face camera and audience .. a claim much debated , but in all earnestness it is factual for me .."
  • Big B had also shared that everytime he thinks 'never again', he is reminded of his commitment to the show. "There is an 'each time I say never again' and yet it all comes back when the commitment has been made...so comply and accept and go ahead with the best efforts...and so one tries," he added.
  • Big B praised the confidence of his team and hoped everything would fall into place.
