Archana Kavi on her entry in TV: I was anxious that the movie industry would look down on me Movie actress and YouTuber, Archana Kavi left her fans surprised by her announcement of entering television. The actress will be seen playing the lead character in the upcoming show, 'Rani Raja'. Post the announcement, the actress has been getting questions about the new step and she has finally answered for the same. "I have been getting opportunities from TV soon after my marriage. I don't know the reason why TV people start approaching a movie actress once they get married. But, I didn't take up any offers thinking that I don't want to be known as a TV celebrity. I was also anxious about whether the movie industry would look down on me if I chose TV. However, over time, I have learned as well as unlearnt many things. Now, I have realized that I am an entertainer, my aim is to entertain people, no matter what the medium is," she said in the video.
"We just finished two schedules of the serial, we are just in the initial stages of making the team like a family. In movies, you have a clear idea about the product as well as your character. But, in serials, everything gets evolved over time. Also, TV is a fast process and the creative liberty is less due to the time constraints," she added.
For the unversed, In 'Rani Raja', Archana Kavi will be playing the character Aami, a freewheeling, independent lady who is a guest lecturer by profession. The serial will portray the interesting story of how this progressive, bold girl falls in love with a misogynist.
