Kavyashree Gowda reveals she faced gender discrimination in family during childhood, Kannada actress Kavyashree Gowda, who shot to fame with the mega serial 'Mangala Gowri Maduve', turned out to be a household name for her on-screen character. The actress has won the hearts of many as Mangala Gowri for her acting skills in the daily soap. However, with the actress being one of the much-loved celebs in the industry, not many know that she too had difficult childhood days in her life. Kavyashree opened up about the same in the latest episode of Bigg Boss Kannada season 9. The actress got emotional as she opened up about her struggling days during her childhood. Stating that she never had a chance to enjoy her childhood along with her parents like any other kid, Kavyashree mentioned that her father would often travel across cities owing to her dad's work commitments. With her father away from home most of the time, Kavya took a stroll down memory lane and mentioned that she would often wonder why she would never get a chance to spend time with her father during her childhood days. The actress even mentioned that she would feel very sad whenever she would see parents picking up their children from school.- Having shared that, Kavya
even averred that she never really have any good memories to share
about her childhood days. Elaborating on this, she mentioned how she and
her sister faced gender discrimination from their family members. .
Kavya stated that her grandmother and uncle would make fun of her and
her elder sister for being born as girls. She also revealed that she was
hardly invited to visit her grandmother's house as she was born as a
girl

questioned the reason behind being born as a girl as she found it to be
a bane in her life.
