About:

  • The actor, who is known for Hindi shows like 'Bhakarwadi' and 'Nima Denzongpa', and Marathi films such as 'Madhuri' and 'Takatak 2', says that he is happy that he could finally win the hearts of the Marathi audience. “I have played the lead in two Hindi shows, but I wanted to be known by the Marathi viewers too. That’s exactly why I took up the show,” he says, adding, “Viewers saw various shades of my personality. I have made new friends, and learnt valuable lessons during my stint. The biggest learning from the show was to let go. I have no hard feelings for any contestants.”
  • While his fans are happy, Akshay is also being called a ‘non-deserving winner’ by many others. To this, he replies, “When you are a part of a reality show, where you are competing with 19 other contestants, you are bound to get positive and negative reactions. I am okay with not being appreciated by a certain set of people. It’s their point of view. I am grateful to my supporters.”
  • Akshay feels that the victory will hopefully open doors for better opportunities now. “I have no projects in hand right now. I intend to start afresh. Be it in Marathi or Hindi, I am looking forward to doing better work,” he says. Ask him what he plans to do with the prize money, and he replies, “Right now, I am spending my entire time with family and close friends. I haven’t given it a thought. But yes, I plan to spend some of the prize money on building my home.”
On co-contestant Rakhi Sawant...
  • “Rakhi has a good understanding of the game. While we had arguments, we also spent a fun time together. She had been constantly saying that I would win the show. She is a wonderful human being,” says Akshay.
