Besides this, Sarwat Gilani, Mohib Mirza, Behroze Sabzwari and Bushra Ansari will also be seen playing pivotal characters.

Sony TV's Aahat

Bipasha Basu to introduce new season of 'Aahat'

Actress Bipasha Basu, who has done a string of horror and supernatural films, will reportedly make her small screen appearance once again with an upcoming season of horror TV show "Aahat".

According to a source, the actress has been approached for the first episode of the horror show aired on Sony Entertainment Television channel.

"Bipasha, who has of late done a lot of horror movies, has been approached to narrate the introduction episode of the upcoming season of the popular horror show 'Aahat'," said a source.

She was previously seen in TV shows like "Fear Files" and "Comedy Nights with Kapil".

In an interview earlier, Bipasha had said that she is happy with the tag of "horror queen". She has been part of horror films like "Raaz", "Aatma" and "Creature 3D" and more recently "Alone".

The show is likely to go on air mid-February.

Prerna Bhatt roped in for Sony TV's Aahat

Fireworks Productions’ much-awaited thriller series Aahat will soon return on Sony Entertainment Television after a gap of four years. 

Tellychakkar.com has already reported about the first story of the series featuring Shakti Anand and Sukhmani Sadana. 

We now hear that talented actress Prerna Bhatt will play the ‘ghost’ in the episodic. Prerna played the youngest bahu Vedika in Star Plus’ Pyaar Ka Dard Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. She has also featured in the movie Grand Masti, apart from being seen in episodics like Savdhan India, CID, Adaalat, Shapath. 

In Aahat, Prerna will play the obsessed mother who would end her life longing for her kid. She will soon be back in the form of a ghost when she will see a kid similar to hers, and will torment the family to get possession of the kid. 

When contacted, Prerna confirmed that she is shooting for Aahat, and will play the spirit in it.

Bindass' Halla Bol Season 2

Priyanka Singh to feature in Bindass' Halla Bol Season 2

Actress Priyanka Singh who played the comic vamp Jaya Shergill in Star Plus’ Meri Bhabhi will feature in this weekend’s episodic story of Halla Bol Season 2 (Red Dot) on Bindass. As we know, the handsome Karan Tacker hosts the show. 

The story will revolve around a very intelligent college-going girl Rati, essayed by Priyanka whose future would be clouded with the revelation of her mother being a prostitute. The fact that she stays in a red light area with her mum would get the people around her agitated, so much that her Professors and friends in college would stop mingling with her. 

They would begin a revolt against her, and would demand that she be removed from the college. When the girl will get mentally harassed by all the torture, she will take a stand to fight against all in the college to tell them that she has all the right to live her life, as she is definitely not a prostitute. 

When contacted, Priyanka said, “This was a heart-warming tale of a girl who would have to fight it out for her living, and get herself the right to live happily.”

This particular episodic of Halla Bol will air this Sunday (28 December).

Colors to roll out new season of India's Got Talent

India’s Got Talent, the big-ticket property of Colors which is the Indian version of the global British Got Talent will soon be back with a new season. The show which provides a platform for contestants from all over the country to perform in front of its three judges and a studio audience is known to showcase India’s best unknown acts and talents. The popular series is being produced by Fremantle India. 

As per reliable sources, the planning for the Season 6 has already started. Auditions for the same are expected to start early next year. 

As we know, Season 5 of this popular talent hunt show was judged by model-actress Malaika Arora Khan, actress Kirron Kher and director Karan Johar. Bharti Singh and Mantra hosted the previous season. But Mantra was later replaced by VJ Andy. 

Season 5 of the series was won by the Kathak Dance Group of Ragini Makkar and Naadyog.

SAB TV's Chuk Chuk gets a new title, to replace FIR

Tellychakkar.com brings you the exclusive dope on SAB TV’s upcoming show Chuk Chuk (Garima Productions) getting its final title. The show based on various characters from a particular railway platform will now be called ‘Peterson Hill.’

The show will hit the screens from 19 January (2015) taking the time slot of FIR at 10.30pm.

So what will happen to FIR?

According to our sources, the channel is yet to decide either to pull the show off or to make it a bi-weekly.

Aditya will play the role of Tony who will have a book stall at the station. Winy will don the role of a guide similar to Aamir Khan’s role in Raja Hindustani. Sushil Parashar Pratham will play Rohit Roy’s dad and Pratham Shetty will be his son. 

The cast will soon start shoot in the beautiful locales of Shimla.

When Bhagwan Das comes home and on opens his cupboard, he is stunned speechless to find the body of a salesman with whom he had a tiff earlier the same day, tumbling out of his closet. Bhagwan das pushes him away and the salesman’s body hits the wardrobe and falls and assumes he has killed the salesman. He again hides the body in the house only for Govardhan jija to stumble upon it and he too assumes that it is he who killed the salesman. Everyone in the house thinks that they have killed the salesman and are afraid to break it to the others. 
Who is the real killer and Is the salesman really dead to begin with?

Company actor Madan Joshi in Star Plus' Hotel

Veteran actor Madan Joshi, the man who was seen playing the role of Ajay Devgn’s mentor in the movie Company, will be seen in an upcoming TV show on Star Plus.

The serial we are talking about is none other than Sunshine Production’s upcoming Hotel.
As reported exclusively by us, the serial will see Aakansha Singh and Gaurav Chopraa in pivotal roles.

They all will be associated with a hotel which will be owned by Madan’s character.

We tried reaching out to Producer Sudhir Sharma, but could not get through to him.

Hotel is supposed to replace Miditech India’s Airlines in February 2015.

Vihaan to confess his love to Aarushi in Satrangi Sasural?

Cupid has come calling Vihaan (Ravish Desai) as he is head over heels in love with Aarushi (Mugdha Chaphekar). And now the guy is all set to confess his love to her in Zee TV’s Satrangi Sasural (24 Frames Productions).

As seen so far, the seven mothers of Vihaan had been unsuccessful in finding a bride for him and now in the coming episodes, seeing them never being in the same page, Dadi (Farida Jalal) would decide that she will never get Vihaan married.

Shares a source, “Vihaan would be shocked to know about the decision and will confront Dadi. She, on her part, will tell him that she wouldn’t want his wife to be uncomfortable with seven mothers-in-law and thus it would be better if he doesn’t get married.”

Vihaan would be upset by this fact and would be thinking about what he should do next. But completely in love with Aarushi, Vihaan would decide to propose to her but the thought of going against his mothers would hold him back.

Will Vihaan confess his love? Or will his mothers act as a barrier between him and Aarushi?

Zee &'s Badi Devrani

Priyanka Singh roped in for & TV's Badi Devrani

Priyanka Singh, popularly known as Jaya Shergill of Star Plus’ Meri Bhabhi, will now make a comeback to daily soaps with & TV’s Badi Devrani, produced by Shashi-Sumeet Productions.
She will be seen playing the younger bahu of the Poddar family, which will be the family of the male protagonist, essayed by Mudit Nayar. 

A source states, “Priyanka will play the role of Kajal, a very hard-working woman who would be family-bound. She will be a perfectionist to the core, and her family will love her for her simple and nice qualities. She will be paired opposite a new actor, Ankit Vyas.”

When contacted, Priyanka Singh who was recently seen in a Bindass’ Halla Bol episode confirmed that she is part of the show. 

As reported earlier, Nikhil Sharma and Surbhi Vyas will play the elder son and daughter-in-law of the family. 
Badi Devrani which will narrate the tale of varying relationships has Mudit Nayar and newbie Megha Chakraborthy in lead roles. Reena Kapoor, Daya Shankar Pandey, Raju Shrestha, Chetan Pandit, Jyoti Gauba will play prime roles.

Sudhir Dalvi, Jyoti Gauba, Raju Shrestha, Chetan Pandit in Zee &'s Badi Devrani

Zee &, the new channel to be launched very soon has been making the headlines of late for its interesting line-up of shows..

The Shashi-Sumeet Productions show titled Badi Devrani has just wrapped up with a shoot schedule in Kolkata. And with the team starting regular shoot in Mumbai, the show seems to be ready for its launch.

We have already written about Mudit Nayar playing the male lead.

And we now have more on the other important actors in the cast list. 

Veteran actor Sudhir Dalvi, better known as Babuji in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will play the patriarch in the male lead’s family. Actress Vanya Joshi will play his wife, and dadi to Mudit.

Jyoti Gauba, who was recently seen in Ek Hasina Thi on Star Plus will play another important role. She will be wife to actor Daya Shankar Pandey (already reported by us) and taiji to Mudit. 

Chetan Pandit, who was last seen in Saraswatichandra will play the female lead’s father.

Also, we hear that a new girl Megha Chakraborthy has been signed to play the female protagonist opposite Mudit.

TV and Bollywood actor Raju Shrestha of fame Chitchor, Kitaab, Bawarchi will also feature in the show.

Says a source, “Jyoti Gauba will play the role of Kaushalya devi, who will be the wife to the egoistic Daya Shankar Pandey. She would be treated like a slave by her husband; however she will manage to spread her love and keep her family united. Raju Shrestha will play the massa to Mudit’s character.”

When contacted, Sudhir Dalvi told us, “Yes, I am part of the show. But I don’t think I am entitled to talk about it right now.”

Jyoti Gauba was unavailable for comment, and so were Chetan Pandit and Raju.

Daya Shankar Pandey roped in for Zee &'s show Badi Devrani

Talented actor Daya Shankar Pandey, popularly known as Goli of Lagaan will return to television
with yet another meaty role after playing the role of Shanidev in Mahima Shani Dev Ki. Pandey known for his prolific acting in the movies Lagaan,Gangaajal, Swades, Raajneeti to name a few has been part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev on TV. His last outing was that of the negative land lord Surjeet Singh in Star Plus’ popular show Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera.

Now, Pandey is all set to play the father in Shashi-Sumeet Productions’ show on the to-be-launched channel Zee & (And) titled ‘Badi Devrani’.

Our readers would remember about the news we carried exclusively about Mudit Nayar playing the lead in the show.

We now hear that Daya Shankar Pandey will play Mudit’s father. The man will be a self-made, self-centred man who would need all the attention of the family. He will be a very realistic character with all shades in him.

The show which will be based on a Marwari setup will go on floors with a schedule in Kolkata in the
next few days.         

When contacted, Daya Shankar Pandey told us, “Well, I have been in talks for the show. But as you know, I really take my time in accepting any show on TV as I need an author-backed role. Let’s see if I get into the skin of this one.”

Pandey who has been in the acting circuit for many a years now holds the distinction of performing nearly 25 -30 characters for the play ‘Popcorn with Parsai’, a biographical play on Hari Shankar Parsai, a noted humorist. The play was screened in Prithvi yesterday (14 December) for which Pandey got an arousing response. The best part of the play is that Pandey happens to be the only actor in the play; he dons nearly 25 different get-ups and looks and performs on the stage for nearly one hour and twenty minutes.

We dropped a text message to Producer Sumeet H Mittal, but did not get any response from him. We also tried getting a confirmation from the channel spokesperson.

Zee & is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2015.

Monica Bedi to enter Zee TV's Bandhan

Zee TV’s popular show Bandhan (Swastik Productions) saw a major twist when the young girl Darpan (Ananya Agardwal) was left alone to fend for her life with her elephant brother after her parents Aditya Redij and Shweta Munshi were killed in the show recently.

Now viewers will see a new entry in the show, who will come as a godmother to Ananya bringing joy and security in her life. And playing this important character will be the beautiful Monica Bedi.

Monica who is known for role as the wicked vamp Gumaan in Saraswatichandra for a change will be seen in a completely positive character in the show.

Sources inform that the actress will start shooting from today.

When we called Monica, she quipped, “Nothing has been confirmed as of now.”

It would be surely an interesting watch to see Monica in a different avatar.

Naarad and Yam to be pitted against each other in SAB TV's Yam Hai Hum

SAB TV’s Yam Hai Hum (Swastik Productions) will see a challenge thrown in by the Goddesses on Yam (Manav Gohil) during the Navratri celebrations.

The Matas will talk about Yam being their biggest devotee. And Naaradji (Vijay G Badllani) will get into a conversation with the Matas that he too is their big devotee. However, when the Matas will tell Naaradji that Yam is the biggest devotee, Naaradji will instigate them to put Yam to a challenge wherein he will have to prove his devotion towards the Goddesses.

This interesting track will be special as for the first time, Naaradji will be pitted against Yam. While Yam will try his best to win the challenges, Naaradji will try to throw a lot of obstacles in the way of Yam so that he will not win the challenge.

As for Vijay, he will don a new avatar again, to create confusions for Yam. In this sequence, Naaradji will don a Sardar look.

Will Yam overcome the challenges of Naaradji and win the contest?
We hear that the track will bring in hilarious sequences and situations and will be a visual treat for the viewers.

When contacted, Vijay told us, “Yes, Naaradji has always been helpful to Yam. But in this track, Naaradji will for the first time go against Yam.”

The beautiful Deepshikha Nagpal who was last seen in Colors’ Bigg Boss will soon be back on TV.
The actress has been roped in for SAB TV’s Yam Hain Hum (Swastik Productions).

According to our sources, the actress will play a hot PT teacher in a college who happens to be very strict. She hates men as she had witness some bad experience in her past. It will be a couple of months track.

She confirmed and said, “Yes, I have already started shooting. I am playing a teacher in the show. My role is similar of Sushmita Sen’s in Main Hoon Na. Yam Hain Hum is very good show and I hope viewers enjoy my role.”

Deepshika’s entry sequence will air in the coming days.

'Gada' fight in SAB TV’s Yam Hain Hum

SAB TV’s fantastical comedy show Yam Hain Hum (Swastik Pictures) is gearing up to air a fight sequence.

Yes, after dose of laughter, the show will soon have a maha yudh between Baldev (Indresh Malik) and Yamraj (Manav Gohil).

Baldev, who doesn’t like Yamraj and contradicts with his philosophy, will challenge him to a gada fight.

Entire colony member will support Baldev, and Sridevi (Fenil Umrigar) will cheer up for Yamraj.

Of course, at the end, Yamraj being the God will win the battle.

Confirming the same, Indresh shared, “It was fun shooting for the gada sequence. I am sure viewers will enjoy watching.”

The episode will air sometime this week.

Fenil Umrigar to don a double role in SAB TV's Yam Hain Hum

SAB TV’s newly launched comedy show Yam Hain Hum (Swastik Productions) is appealing the masses with its interesting storyline and characters.

Apart from the prominent characters of Yamraj (Manav Gohil) and Chitragupt (Atul Parchure), Fenil Umrigar (Best Friends Forever) too will be seen in a surprising avatar in the show.  

Yes, the gorgeous lady will don a double role.

In the serial, she is already seen playing the character of Yamraj’s wife Dhumorna.

Now, donning a double role she will also perform as Sridevi. Sridevi, an earthling, will be bold and bindass and fall in love 
with Yamraj. At the same time, Yamraj will be shocked seeing Dhumorna’s look-alike on earth.
She shared, “It’s a surprise element for my fans. This is the first time that I would be playing a double role and both the characters have different shades.”

Raju Kher roped in for Sab TV's Yam Hain Hum

Veteran actor Raju Kher who has earlier been part of many television shows and films has been roped in for Swastik productions’ Yam Hain Hum on Sab TV.

As viewers know the comedy show is inspired from the mythical character of Yamraj and Chitragupt. The characters will be played by Manav Gohil and Atul Parchure respectively.

As reported by Tellychakkar.com Yamraj will abode earth and put up with a family headed by actor Indresh Malik. And now sources have informed that Raju Kher has been roped in to play his father.

When we spoke to Raju, he confirmed the development and said, “Yes, I have been approached for the role and will soon sign the dotted lines.”

The show is set to take viewers on a laughter ride from 15 December replacing Chandrakant Chiplunkar.

Channel V's PS I Hate You to end on a romantic high

Banarsi Babe gets a new title; to replace PS I Hate You

It seems it is a sad day for TV shows today!!

Too many shows are being pulled off air in a short span of time.

PS I Hate You, that was launched by Channel V as the second season of Jhalli Anjali Ke Tootey Dil Ki Amazing Love Story, will air its last episode on 19 December. The show was produced by Rose Audio Visuals Pvt Ltd and Niranjan Iyengar.

Shares a source, “The season was not doing well and thus the makers thought of wrapping it rather than uselessly dragging with the plot. Also since the season was a finite one, the team wrapped up with a happy ending climax. The shoot will end this week.”

Chandni Bhagwanani confirmed the development stating, “It was a finite series and was planned accordingly. It was surely a great time shooting with the team for two seasons and I will definitely miss everyone.”

And now coming back to the replacement, Beyond Dreams’ Banarasi Babe will take its slot but with a different name. The show has now being titled Million Dollar Girl and will hit screens from 22 December.

It stars Sharmin Kazi and Vikram Singh as leads apart from Hitesh Bhardwaj, Geetanjali Singh, Aparna Ghoshal and Mitil Jain in pivotal roles. The show will portray the tale of a young girl, Avanti from Banaras, who makes her living with her smart moves and action plans.

We tried reaching producer Yash Patnaik but he remained unavailable to comment.

Channel V Creative Head Lavanya Anand shared, “Yes, the mini series PS I Hate You is reaching a conclusion and I must say the team has done a fabulous job. Also Million Dollar Girl is also a project we are really proud of and looking forward. Till then viewers should also catch up with Friends that is launching today on the channel.”

No Satyamev Jayate next year: Aamir Khan

Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan says a project starring Bollywood's three Khans - Shah Rukh, Salman and himself, would be exciting and that he would be happy to do it.

The trio recently appeared together on the same stage.

Asked about any plans to work with Salman and Shah Rukh in one film, Aamir said: "I really think a film with three of us would be exciting...and if ever a script, which appeals to three of us, comes up, I am sure we would be happy to do it."

Aamir, who is currently busy promoting his much awaited film PK, says he has neither signed any new films nor is he going to do his TV show Satyamev Jayate (Star Plus) next year.

"I'm not doing Satyamev Jayate next year, and currently, I am not doing any films. I am currently reading scripts and deciding on what to do next. When I find a good script and which excites me, I will sign it.”

"Right now I don't have any films and since Satyamev Jayate just completed a series, we feel we need a break after five years of research just for emotional reasons and to heal. We would come back, but we don't know when. But next year you won't see a release from me," he added.

Aamir's PK, which also features Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput, is slated to release 19 December.

Channel V's Friends - Conditions Apply creates record of sorts; all set to launch today

Channel V’s new thriller show, Friends – Conditions Apply launches today (8 December) at the 5.30 PM slot, from Monday to Wednesday. Produced by Kabir Sadanand, under the banner Frog Unlimited, the show is set to catch the eye of viewers for its element of thrill and freshness in the storyline, and also for its high production value. The show’s initial episodes have been shot exclusively in Manali, in trying and testing weather conditions.

The show deals with the story of Shakti (Shivani Tomar) who would do something very radical to achieve whatever she wants, to the extent of getting her friends kidnapped to help the release of her foster father. The show does not have a set erected in Mumbai, and this makes the show really unique. The first 12-14 episodes have been shot in Manali, post which the team will shoot at various outdoor locations, and not at a pre-conceived set.”

Coming to the record of sorts that the show has already managed to create – The ongoing promo of the show has been the most viewed one before the launch of a new show on Channel V.

A source gives us information, “Friends – Conditions Apply has created a record of sorts. Last seen, the promo was touching an eight lakh mark on Youtube and the entire team associated with the show is super thrilled.”

Talking about the show, Lavanya Anand, Content Head, Channel V said, “We are excited about the show because our take-off point is that everyone changes in face of adversity. As the story will progress, one will see that each of the characters will have their own secrets and the real faces of people who are good on the surface will come out at times of adversity.”

To give our readers a preview on the story line - On the surface, Shakti will seem to have it all. She will be beautiful, studying in a prestigious college, rubbing shoulders with the society elite, who would happen to be her friends. She will seem calm, collected and above all well presented. No one will know anything about her past as she will be very careful never to bring it up. In fact she will have several things hidden inside the closet. The deep dark secret will be that her parents would have been killed in front of her when she was 13. Baba would have been the man to give her affection and education. The man being her only family will mean a lot to her. With a situation erupting wherein she will would be on the verge of losing him too, Shakti will take the extreme step of kidnapping her friends for it. This show will be her journey, taken by her choice.

Tellychakkar.com contacted Produced Kabir Sadanand who told us, “The story of Friends will deal with the fact that friends might not be friends in the case of adversity. This will be a thriller, which will be fast-paced. We are delighted to have found actors justifying the roles. This will be an emotional thriller that will keep the viewers glued. We have shot at Manali in extremely trying conditions amidst snow storms, chilly weather. And to come out with thrilling moments in the story line in a situation where one cannot breathe explains the levels of authenticity the team has achieved.”

When asked about the promo hitting huge views even before its launch, the Producer said, “Yes, I have been told that no other show on the channel has hit such a huge viewer mark. I hope the curiosity factor works and we do well.”

Laut Aao Trisha twist: Varsha and Prateek's past relation to get revealed

24 Frames Production show Laut Aao Trisha on Life OK channel has already showcased enough of drama, revenge and affairs, but it seems that the makers are not in the mood to stop.

Now, they are ready with some more entertainment for its viewers.

In the upcoming episodes, the high points will revolve round Varsha (Bhairavi Raichura) and
Prateek’s (Jai Kalra) past affair, Kushan (Ayaz Khan) trying to kill Prateek, and Lavanya’s (Rajeshwari Sachdev) arrest.

Our source revealed to us, “In the coming episodes Varsha and Prateek will come face to face, where it will be revealed that they had an affair during their college time. They never met post that hence was unaware of each other’s presence, but now they will come face to face.”

And if this was not enough then Kushan (Ayaz Khan) will be seen aiming his gun at Prateek and this will be a part of Kabeer’s (Eijaz Khan) plan.

Our source also revealed that Lavanya will also be arrested in the show for attempting to kill Prateek
and Trisha (Nalini Negi).

When we contacted actor Ayaz Khan, he replied, “I am not sure about what is going to happen next.
Right now I am not in the town. I will only get to know about the sequence once I am back to Mumbai for shooting.”

With more drama coming up, the show will definitely be an interesting watch in the coming episodes.


‘Upset’ Bhagyashree to quit Laut Aao Trisha?

And it’s about Life OK’s high profile show Lat Aao Trisha produced by 24 Frames Productions.

Now as reported earlier by us, the show initially was meant to air for a year but its sorry TRP figures forced the channel to pull the plug on it prematurely.

However, now we have learnt that after much deliberation the channel has decided to give the show an extension but the entire off air buzz and the project’s constant failure to connect with the masses has upset Laut Aao Trisha’s main face, Bollywood actress Bhagyashree.

Informs a source: “The show during its inception created lots of expectation with its content and star cast but, could not finally manage to impress the audience as expected. And this has not gone down well with the Bollywood diva and hence she wants to call it a quit. She wants to move out of the project asap.”

Now, another part of the story is that the makers are not ready to continue with the project if Bhagyashree moves out. They would rather end the show entirely than drag it for the sake of it, is what the credible source further informed.

We asked Bhagyashree if the entire development was true and she replied with a one word answer 'no'.

The makers remained unavailable till the time of filing the article. We shall try to connect with them again.

Attempt to murder, escape, and love triangle: Some more drama in Laut Aao Trisha

Life OK show Laut Aao Trisha (24 Frames Productions) has always kept its audience hooked to the show with many twist and turns in the plot. Now Tellychakkar.com gives you the news that the makers are set to provide some more drama to its audience.

As per our sources, on one hand Kushan (Ayaz Khan) will try to kill Trisha (Nalini Negi), while on the other Neha will escape and finally a new romantic track will develop centering Trisha, Aditya and Meghan.

Our source states, “Kushan (Ayaz Khan) will be very much scared that Trisha (Nalini Negi) may remember everything and may also recognize him as the kidnapper and hence would plan to kill Trisha. And as soon as he will realize that Trisha only recollects few flashes about her kidnapping and nothing more, he will change his plan.”

“While on the other hand Kabeer (Eijaz Khan), who has been suspecting Neha (Prateek’s girlfriend) for a long time, to have been involved in Trisha’s kidnapping will try to force Neha to confess her crime and due to the pressure Neha will escape in order save her life”, added the source.

Finally the most interesting turn that the audience will witness in the show will be the development of a triangle love story. Aditya (Kunal Verma), Trisha’s doctor will take care of her, while Meghan (Trisha’s cousin) will fall for Aditya and this will lead to a new romantic development in the track.

Now whether Trisha will identify Kushan or what will happen to Trisha’s and Meghan’s relation still remains a question.

We dropped a message to Ayaz for a comment but he did not revert till the time of filing the article.

Channel V's Million Dollar Girl

Million Dollar Girl will prove that being persistent can help you win the world- Sharmin Kazi

The pretty and chirpy Sharmin Kazi is all set to mesmerize audience with the recently launched show Million Dollar Girl on Channel V. The show by Beyond Dreams Entertainment has the girl playing Avanti, a simple yet quirky girl who manages to fulfill her dreams through her staunch belief in herself.

Talking about her character, Sharmin says, “Avanti is a girl who has some really big dreams for herself and her life. Although she belongs to a conservative city like Banaras, it doesn’t deter her to live her life the way she wants to. She is a free bird who actually wants to make it big in her life and has the confidence and passion to actually do it.”

Ask her about the feedback for the first week, and she states, “Everybody really liked the show and I hope they continue loving it. This show is beautiful as it depicts how with persistent endeavours anyone can win the world and become a million dollar girl.”

Speaking about the USP of the show, Sharmin avers, “Firstly, all shows on the channel are about today’s normal city bred youth. But for the first time, Banaras which is still quite conservative in its attitude will be projected in the show. Also Avanti is not the typical heroine who is all good, but is a street smart girl who wouldn’t think about right or wrong when it comes to what she wants. I think the character is very real and will be really interesting to watch.”

So is there any similarity between her and her on-screen persona? “Yes, there is a lot of Sharmin in Avanti. I think an actor bags a role only when his / her personality matches well with the character.
There has to be some relativity factor, for you just cannot fake a role completely.”

Talking about the team, Sharmin quips, “All of us have really become great friends and we have so much masti off screen. Also I feel all the characters have some really beautiful shades and it’s an overall amazing team. Iqbal Sir (the show’s director) is the best captain we could have got. I am really lucky to have bagged this show.”

And finally, ask her how her ‘Million Dollar Boy’ needs to be and the pretty girl smiles, “If he has million dollars I don’t think any other quality would even be needed (laughs).”

Shashank Sharma roped in for Channel V's Million Dollar Girl

Shashank Sharma who essayed the baddie Kamal in Star Plus’ Ek Ghar Banaunga has bagged an interesting role in Channel V’s upcoming show titled Million Dollar Girl. As reported exclusively by us, this new Beyond Dreams show will replace PS I Hate You from 22 December.

Shashank who is presently shooting for a two hour episode of Shapath has been roped in to play the best friend of the female protagonist, Avanti (Sharmin Kazi).

As per sources, “Shashank’s character Salil will be a well-built man running a wrestling arena. He would be a typical ‘brahmachari’ who would not even glare at women. As the story would progress, Avanti would coax him to get into fashion designing.”

When contacted, Shashank refused to talk about the show.

We hear that Shashank will have an interesting comic track running parallel to the main track. He will be one of the important continuous characters on the show.

Sharhaan Singh to enter Sony TV's Hum Hain Naa

Good looking Sharhaan Singh, who has played interesting characters in shows like Uttaran and
Gustakh Dil, is all set to enter Sony Entertainment Television’s Hum Hain Naa (DJ’s A Creative Unit).

The show will see Sharhaan essaying the role of Resham Singh, a rich man who would enter the scene to create some major drama. His role will be on the lines of Manoj Bajpayee in Tevar.

Shares a source, “Resham Singh will head over heels fall in love with Sagarika (Pratyusha Bannerjee) and his obsessive nature will create a lot of problems for her and Bunty (Kanwar Dhillon).”

The actor will start shooting for the show from tomorrow and his entry will air sometime next week.

When we called Sharhaan he confirmed his entry and said, “The character is a very exciting one and will bring lots of twists and turns.”


Satya's reality to come to the fore in Sony TV's Hum Hain Naa

Satya (Vinny Arora) has been trying her best to create a rift between Sagarika (Pratyusha Banerjee) and Bunty (Kanwar Dhillon) in Sony Entertainment Television’s Hum Hain Naa (DJ’s A Creative Ltd).

As seen so far, Satya had created a suspicion in Ammaji’s (Shubhangi Gokhale) mind regarding ill fate brought by Sagarika in Bunty’s life. Now the girl had got a pandit who had asked Ammaji that
Bunty’s wife would need to fast day long for him to ward off the evil. And Ammaji who always considered Satya as her bahu had asked her to fast for Bunty.

Shares a source, “Satya would be hungry and break her fast in sometime. This is when Bunty would also invite her to a restaurant where the two will be seen feasting on some yummy food.”

Suddenly Ammaji would walk in and seeing Satya eating would be left shocked. She would confront
Satya and slap her hard for not keeping her promise of fasting.

This is when viewers will see that the whole plan had been executed by Bunty and Sagarika who wanted to bring Satya’s reality to the fore.

Will Ammaji realise Satya’s evilness? Will this incident make her accept Sagarika?

Ashiesh Roy quits Sony TV's Hum Hai Naa

Tellychakkar.com recently reported about actress Shubhangi Gokhale (Ammaji) being unhappy with her ongoing track in Sony Entertainment Television’s Hum Hai Naa and now it looks like the ‘creative dissatisfaction’ part is not just limited to her.

As per our latest reports actor Ashiesh Roy best known as Pintu Chakravarti on the show has put down his papers owning to similar reasons.

"It's true. I have put down my papers and I am currently serving my three months notice period," confirmed the actor.

When asked the reason for his exit from the show he said, "I knew that I was playing the role of the lead girl’s father (being essayed by Pratyusha Banerjee) which meant my role diminishing to nothing post her marriage. But, unfortunately the girl got married to the boy in a few weeks time instead of three months and I was left with nothing to play. The only hope was the track where the girl would get back home to stay with her father. The son-in-law too was to join them but things changed once again."

Which means you were left with nothing to do. "Yes, plus my dates were blocked. So, I couldn't take up any other show all this while," stated the artist.

He further added, "Now I'll finally get to take up other projects."

Life OK's Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh

Samarth to return in Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh

The viewers, who are fond of the cute chemistry between Vikram (Apurva Agnihotri) and Shobha (Sonali Bendre) in Life OK show Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh (Balaji Telefilms), we bring some exclusive news for them.

Like every other show, problems are bound to hit on the way of the lovers and this project is no exception.

As Vikram and Shobha are getting close to each other, Sarika (Vivana Singh) is leaving no stones unturned to harm Shobha. And if this was not enough, to add some more drama, Samarth (Harsh Chhaya) will be seen returning from the jail in the upcoming episodes.

Our source revealed to us, “Samarth will come to Shobha’s home when the entire family will be busy celebrating her birthday. Everyone will be shocked to see Samarth and will pay no attention to him.
While on the other hand only Sarika will be seen talking to him.”

Our source also confirmed that Vikram will get tensed while seeing Samarth and will be scared about his future with Shobha. In this situation Vikram’s Naani will be seen consoling Vikram.

The question remains what will happen to Vikram and Shobha’s relationship? Will love conquer all?

Life OK show Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh (Balaji Telefilms) has already won the heart of audiences with the cute love encounter between Shobha (Sonali Bendre) and Vikram (Apurva Agnihotri). And now, what we hear is that the cute love story is going to reach the next level.

Our source revealed to us that in the upcoming episodes Vikram (Apurva Agnihotri) will confess his love to Shobha and will try to take their relationship to the next level.

But wait. Readers if you are thinking that everything is going to sort out between the two and they are going to live happily ever after, then we are sorry to disappoint you.

Our source also mentioned, “Though Vikram will try to confess his love to Shobha, he will finally not be able to propose as he will be more concerned about Shobha’s health. Moreover Jiya (Shobha’s daughter) will be saved from an accident by Sarika (Vivana Singh), which was originally planned by Sarika herself and Vikram will be blamed for the incident”. 

While saving Jiya, Sarika will hurt herself. And she will leave no stone unturned to get Vikram back in her life, added the source.

Actress Kajal Pisal will now be part of the Balaji Telefilms family again, after her stint in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain.

She has been roped in for their Life OK show, Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh. Kajal will play the role of Avni, a sweet and positive girl who will be spotted by Shobha (Sonali Bendre) at a family function.
Shobha will immediately be impressed with Avni’s simplicity and beauty, and will harbour thoughts of getting her married to her best friend Vikram (Apurva Agnihotri).

The track ahead will revolve around Shobha’s efforts in grooming Avni to be the life partner of Vikram. 

Will Shobha be successful in getting Vikram hooked to Avni?

When contacted, Kajal told us, “Yes, it feels good to be back with Balaji after Bade Acche. I play a very sweet character in the show, is what I can say as of now.”

Wondering what are we talking about?

Well recently we reported that in the upcoming episodes of Laut Aao Trisha (24 Frames Production) Kushan (Ayaz Khan) will try to kill Trisha (Nalini Negi), and now the exclusive info from our side is that a similar kind of track will be seen in Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh (Balaji Telefilms) too.

Our sources revealed that Sarika (Vivana Singh), who was Vikram’s ex-girlfriend, will pose that she has been victimized to domestic violence and her husband Abhay (Vicky Thawani) is abusive in nature. In an attempt to free herself from Abhay she will try to kill him, but her true intentions will be something else.

“Sarika was in love with Vikram (Apurva Agnihotri), but left him due to his poor financial condition and married Abhay. Now Abhay’s business is at a loss and in an attempt to leave him Sarika will first pretend to be a victim of marital violence and then finally in a desperate attempt will try to kill her husband”, said one of our sources.

Vivana Singh, who is essaying the role of Sarika, was shocked at first after she heard about the development of her character in this direction. But, the spirited lady decided to portray her role convincingly and hence did a bit of research for her role, source further shared.

SAB TV's Chuk Chuk gets a new title, to replace FIR

Tellychakkar.com brings you the exclusive dope on SAB TV’s upcoming show Chuk Chuk (Garima Productions) getting its final title. The show based on various characters from a particular railway platform will now be called ‘Peterson Hill.’

The show will hit the screens from 19 January (2015) taking the time slot of FIR at 10.30pm.

So what will happen to FIR?

According to our sources, the channel is yet to decide either to pull the show off or to make it a bi-weekly.

Our readers would know of Tellychakkar.com reporting about Mansi Shrivastava, Samiksha Bhatnagar, Sucheta Khanna, Prasad Barve and Ashwin Mushran being a part of Peterson Hill. As we know, Rohit Roy plays the lead role.

Now we have learnt that Aditya Singh Rajput (U Me Aur Hum), Winy Tripathi (Saraswatichandra), veteran actor Sushil Parashar and Pratham Shetty (Chidiya Ghar) have joined the cast.
Aditya will play the role of Tony who will have a book stall at the station. Winy will don the role of a guide similar to Aamir 
Khan’s role in Raja Hindustani. Sushil Parashar Pratham will play Rohit Roy’s dad and Pratham Shetty will be his son. 

The cast will soon start shoot in the beautiful locales of Shimla.


Sucheta, Ashwin and Prasad in Sab TV's upcoming Chuk Chuk

Garima Productions’ is coming up with a comedy show Chuk Chuk based on the narrative and happenings in a particular railway platform.

Readers would remember, Tellychakkar.com had exclusively reported about Mansi Shrivastava and Samiksha Bhatnagar being part of the show.

Now, we have learnt that Sucheta Khanna (Lapataganj), Ashwin Mushran (Lage Raho Munna Bhai) and Prasad Barve (Dill Mill Gayye) have been roped in for the project.  

The main protagonist Rohit Roy will play station master and Sucheta will portray his wife. Prasad will play a thief and Ashwin has a very important role in the show.

We called Sucheta but she was busy and asked us to call later. Even Prasad and Ashwin remained unavailable to comment.

The show will mostly launch in the first week of January (2015).


Mansi Shrivastava replaces Puja Bose in SAB TV's Chuk Chuk; Samiksha Bhatnagar roped in

Mansi Shrivastava, the face of Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, will soon be back on screen.

She's been signed by Ashwini Dheer's Garima Productions for SAB TV's upcoming show, titled Chuk Chuk.

As per the title, the story will be based on the narrative and happenings in a particular railway platform.

Earlier, Puja Bose (Bannerjee) was supposed to play the female lead on the show. But now, Mansi has been roped in to play the interesting character of Shatabdi.

Also, talented actress Samiksha Bhatnagar, who was last seen in Colors' Uttaran, will play a central role. She will play the hot and happening ticket collector who would look for her Mr. Perfect will all the exceptional qualities.

As reported in media, Rohit Roy has been roped in to play the male protagonist in the show. He will be seen donning the hat of a station master.

We tried contacting Mansi and Samiksha but did not get through to them.
