'American Idol'

Singing-based reality show "American Idol" will end its run after the fifteenth season, which will premiere in January 2016, broadcasting company Fox has announced.

Singers Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban will return as the season 15 judges, along with host Ryan Seacrest, reports variety.com.

While searching for the final "American Idol" superstar, the last season will also serve as a "celebratory event", paying tribute to 14 seasons of contestants, winners and fans.

"American Idol", created by Simon Fuller, first debuted in 2002 with original judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. Throughout its fourteen seasons, other A-list judges have included
Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Steven Tyler, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres.

The reality competition made a star of Seacrest, who has served as emcee since Season one.

The new season of Splitsvilla has already created quite a buzz among the millennials with its ‘What Women Love’ theme.

The season to be hosted by Sunny Leone and Rannvijay Singh will be produced by Colesceum and Lost Boy Productions.

This dramatic twist is said to bring in a thrilling track and also a new storyline.

But talking about something new, the makers have decided to go back to their old hero, Sudeep Sahir to fill the void of the main lead in Dream Girl.

Latest news comes in is that Sudeep who was part of the makers' Lakshmi, will make a grand entry in 
Dream Girl, that was said to the season 2 of Lakshmi. He will once again star opposite Shraddha Arya, who plays Ayesha in the show.

Shared a source, "Sudeep is a favourite, and thus the producers decided to get him back to create the magic of Lakshmi in the new storyline. Though the deal hasn't yet been officialised on papers, Sudeep in most 
probability will come on board."

Mohsin Khan to now exit Life OK's Dream Girl

The trend continues..... Well, we recently saw Shashi Sumeet Productions working on the huge twist of killing the male lead of their show, thus bringing in freshness with a new guy's entry. Yes we saw it in their &TV show Badii Devrani.

Now if the news coming in is to be believed, the same will happen in their Life OK show, Dream Girl.
Yes, you heard it right!

Actor Mohsin Khan who essays the lead role of Samar Sareen in the show is all set to hang his boots.

A credible source told us, "A creative decision has been taken to give the serial a new high by killing the protagonist Samar. Along with Samar, his brother Manav, essayed by Khalid Siddiqui will also be killed."

We hear that the actors have been notified of this major development.

This actually comes after the twin role track of Shraddha Arya failed to garner eye balls, resulting in the show plummeting to its lowest numbers. The channel and makers now are targeting a fresh new track with a new male lead coming in.

This means after Mudit Nayar in Badii Devrani, it is now time for Mohsin Khan to move out of the show.

We tried contacting Mohsin but he did not take our calls. Our efforts to reach to Khalid were in vain.

We buzzed Producer Sumeet Mittal and the channel spokesperson but did not get any comment.

As of now the new male lead of Dream Girl has not been locked.

Popular actor Ayaz Khan, mostly remembered for his role as Sushant in romantic flick Jaane Tu- Ya Jaane Na, has recently quit Shraddha Arya and Nikita Dutta starring show Dream Girl (Shashi Sumeet Productions) on Life Ok.

Unhappy with the development of his character, the actor, who was essaying the role of Akshay, a director in Shraddha’s production house and her best friend’s husband, has finally decided to exit from the daily.

We hear from a source that initially Ayaz’s character was supposed to be of a parallel lead with an interesting track but, unfortunately that track was later called off, as the makers decided to give sole importance to Nikita and Shraddha’s track. And though Ayaz waited for two months after few initial episodes, but nothing actually improved, resulting into Ayaz’s final decision.

When we contacted the actor, he confirmed the development and mentioned, “Two weeks back I have put down my papers and it was an amicable decision. Since my character was not shaping up well I decided to opt out and the production house agreed.”

“Though I thought things would later on improve but it did not happen and even the production house was unsure about new changes. Since it was a mutual decision, none of us have anything against each other and both of us are absolutely fine to work again. And I personally feel that Shashi Sumeet is one of the best production houses that I have ever worked with,” added the young man.

Interestingly same thing earlier also happened with the actor when the actor shot for few episodes for Shashi Sumeet’s another show Punar Vivah when his track witnessed an abrupt end.

And as Ayaz gears up for some new projects we wish the young man all the best.

As reported earlier by TellyChakkar.com, Swastik Productions’ Begusarai on &TV is all set to shut shop on 24 June. The show will have a logical and happy ending.

A source shared, “The show which is currently revolving around Ananya (Veebha Anand) and Bindiya’s (Shweta Tiwari) tashan will see Bindiya finally realising her mistake. Bindiya will learn about Adarsh’s (Manish Naggdev) secret marriage and will create a lot drama in the family.”

Ananya will make her understand the value of women. Bindiya will finally adhere and would give Ananya the freedom to live her life in her own terms. She would also ask her to choose her husband among her five sons.
If sources are to be believed, Ananya will refuse to do so and instead go back to her place and stay with her family.

This is how the show will pull its curtain down.

Reportedly, Poonam has a doubt that Priyom is in love with Shravani (Nandini Singh). She got upset after seeing them hug and also slapped Priyom.

Source informs, “Now, Poonam will realize that she has a soft corner for Priyom and her friend Najma would also tease her about it. Following that she would start avoiding Priyom. Soon when Priyom would force her to talk she would get miffed and will slap him again.”

Coming back to Shravani, Priyom has been helping her to deal with her abusive husband, a fact which Poonam is unaware of.

Sphere Origin's unique presentation, Hum for Star Plus has added yet another experienced actor into the show.

Pawan Chopra, who was last seen in Byaah Humari Bahu Ka has been roped in by the makers to play father to the female protagonist, Ekta Kaul.

The actor will portray a very powerful, yet jolly character. Ekta and Pawan will exhibit a great daughter and father bond in the show.

As per a reliable source, "Pawan's character will be happy-go-lucky, with a young heart even at his age. He will be seen flirting with girls, but will share a great rapport with his daughter."

When contacted, Pawan told us, "Well, I am in talks for the show. But nothing is finalized as of now. So I am not sure."

The show already has an experienced bunch of actors like Ashiesh Roy, Krutika Desai, Varun Badola, Sucheta Trivedi, Charu Asopa, Pallavi Gupta, Neeraj Malviya with Karam Rajpal and Ekta Kaul in lead roles.

Makers of the successful show Beintehaa on Colors, Fortune Productions, is gearing to launch a new show on Star Plus.

As per initial reports coming in, the serial should hit screens by end of July, 2015.

The storyline will have thrill and romance. The leading protagonist will be a dynamic character, which will be played by Amrita Puri (Kai Po Che fame).

We have also learned that the producer, Farhan Salaruddin, is in talks with Sakshi Tanwar. If she comes on board, then she will play enact a pivotal character of an advocate.

“Things are at a very nascent stage as of now. The show will be a finite series of 120 to 150 episodes. The production house is currently working on script and casting,” a source shared.

On the other hand, Sakshi is also approached for Lost Boy’s upcoming show Rani Mahal on Sony TV.  Let’s see for which show she gives her final nod!

Producer Farhan, Sakshi and Amrita remained unavailable for a comment.

Star Plus' Saat Rang Ke Sapne

This is one show which is going through lot of changes.

The project, titled Saat Rang Ke Sapne, initially called Mohii from the house of White Horse Productions is seeing a delayed launch owing to actors quitting after being finalized.

The male lead will be played by Karan Sharma but the hitch is pertaining to the female characters.
Basically it’s a love triangle.

Vinita Joshi forms one part of the triangle, while the other female lead’s casting has hit a roadblock.
First, Wasna Ahmed was signed for the main role. She quit and brought Asha Negi into the picture.

Asha too moved out and the role went to Nikita Sharma, but sadly she too waved goodbye to the project.

Both Nikita and Asha were not happy with the growth of the character.

Now we hear that Srishty Rode (Punar Vivah 2, Shobha Somnath Ki) is in contention to bag the role and complete the casting process.

“She has given her look test and the makers are really keen to have her on board,” said a source.
Srishty remained unavailable for a comment.

Actress-producer Lakshmi Manchu, who has proven her hosting mettle with shows like "Lakshmi Talk Show" and "Prematho Mee Lakshmi", will soon be seen in a brand new avatar hosting celebrity talk show "Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju".

"I will be hosting the show and I'm eagerly waiting to stage a comeback to television. I'm excited about this wonderful opportunity. This show will be a tad different from my previous shows," Lakshmi told.

The set work for the show is currently underway and the principal shooting is expected to begin from May 25.

The show will be aired on a popular entertainment channel from June 1 onwards on prime time.

And it is not heart throb and Naagin fame Arjun Bijlani playing the role, as reported by media.

It will instead be Naman Shaw taking over from Sidhant Gupta as the new male protagonist.

Interestingly, Naman has been a replacement expert, who has taken over the male lead roles earlier in shows Beend Banoonga Ghodi Chadunga and Kairee.
As per sources, “A lot of popular actors were auditioned for the coveted role. Since Sidhant and Jasmin Jodi had gotten hugely popular, the channel and makers were on the lookout for a known actor who could carry forward the legacy of a huge fan following.”

Indeed, talks were on with Arjun, but it is Naman who has succeeded in grabbing it now.
We tried calling Naman, but could not get through to him. The actor was last seen in Piya Rangrezz.

Zee TV’s Tashan-E-Ishq (Esselvision Productions) has opened up a fresh track post the leap with Twinkle (Jasmin Bhasin) trying to lead her life without Kunj (Sidhant Gupta). Meanwhile, Kunj who is being treated by Dr. Pallavi (Charu Asopa) assumes that all is well at his place, and that he will be back with them soon.
The coming episodes will bring a good as well as sad news. Twinkle will be seen fainting, post which it will be revealed that she is pregnant with Kunj’s child.

Yes, this will bring a cheer and smile on Twinkle and her family’s faces. But at the same time, the family members will start worrying more about Twinkle, as it will be very difficult for her to raise her kid all alone.

As per sources, “This worry will eventually trigger a thought of Twinkle’s remarriage. The family will also try to speak to Twinkle about it, but she will refuse the idea of getting married again. Twinkle will clearly state that she feels the presence of Kunj near her, and that she will go ahead in her life by assuming he is with her.”
Meanwhile, there will be another new entry in the show. Child artist Palak Dey who was last seen in Humari Bahu Rajni_kant will enter Tashan-E-Ishq, as the kid staying with Dr. Pallavi. Pallavi would be shown raising the kid as a mother, after the death of the kids’ family.

Talented, suave and handsome Zain Imam, who won all hearts as Abhimanyu in MTV’s Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, has been roped in to play the male lead.

As per a reliable source, “There will be two male leads on the show, and Zain has been locked to play one of them. The character will have quite a lot of layers in it, as the story would progress.”

To tell you more, seasoned actor Bhupinder Singh who played father to the protagonist Durga in Ek Hasina Thi, has been brought in to play Zain’s father. Bhupinder has done noteworthy roles on TV in shows Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon etc.

We tried calling both Zain and Bhupinder, but their lines were not accessible.

We dropped a text to the spokesperson at Zee TV for a confirmation, but did not get any confirmation on the same.

We hear that the show will go on floor by the end of May. The team plans to shoot their first outdoor in Amritsar and Ludhiana.

Priyanka Chopra's 'Quantico' in legal soup

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra's international TV series “Quantico” has run into a legal hassle. A lawsuit has been filed against producer Mark Gordon, claiming that the idea for the American series was lifted from a 1999 documentary that aired on CNN.

Filmmakers Jamie Hellman and Barbara Leibovitz Hellman and business executive Paula Paizes filed a 35-page complaint on Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court that says Gordon took the show’s premise from “Quantico: The Making Of An FBI Agent”, reports deadline.com.

Priyanka has made inroads in the small screen fiction space of the west through the ABC action-thriller series, in which she plays Alex Parrish, a rookie FBI recruit with a mysterious past.

According to the complaint, the filmmakers were “granted unprecedented access to the FBI Academy” for their project, which followed a class of trainees through their 16-week program.

Elaborating on the matter, it says that Paizes and Gordon formed a business relationship in 2001 and introduced him to the filmmakers later saying in an email that “they have a ton of research and can get us inside Quantico and the FBI".

In 2002, Leibovitz and Hellman signed a deal with the Mark Gordon Company and their Leibovitz-Hellman Productions and “provided MGC with the film from the documentary, information which was not included in the documentary, including all of their notes and transcripts related to the film".

It further read that initially the “Quantico Project” was discussed as a movie, with a storyline that “included a conspiracy inside the FBI Academy".

It also adds that the series substantially resembles the plot lines created and moulded by Paizes.

The “Quantico” series follows a group of young FBI recruits battling through training, inter-cutting between their hidden pasts and their present training, and also flashes-forward to the near future, where one of the recruits will turn out to be a sleeper terrorist responsible for a devastating terrorist attack in the US.

The Mark Gordon Company had no comment on the suit.

Star Plus' Gulmohar Grand

Sudhir and Seema Sharma’s hotel based finite series, Gulmohar Grand on Star Plus has been keeping the audiences hooked with its gripping and interesting story lines.

Recently, Tellychakkar.com wrote about the handsome Karan V Grover getting into the skin of a serial killer for one of the upcoming episodes.

We now hear of veteran actor Parikshit Sahni playing a central character in an episode to air soon.

As per a reliable source, “Parikshit Sahni will play the role of a filthy rich man with a fading memory. He would love his dead wife so much that he will still assume that she is alive. The man will be a close friend of Mr. Jaitley (Madan Joshi), and he will have a customary practise of celebrating his birthday every year at the hotel, Gulmohar Grand.

Likewise, he will be seen hosting his birthday party at the hotel. Since he will be a friend of Jaitley, the red carpet would always be laid out to him, when it comes to giving him the best of facilities for the party.”

We hear that there will be emotional developments that will create an intrigue as the story will move on.

When contacted, Parikshit Sahni said, “It was wonderful working with Sunshine Productions. Though I cannot reveal anything on the story line, I can only say that the story will be very interesting for the viewers.”

The episode featuring Sahni will air soon in the Sunshine Productions show.  

Life Ok's Piya Rangrezz

Life OK’s latest edition to the show list, Piya Rangrezz (Sphereorigins), has already started grabbing eyeballs with its unique storyline.

From the very beginning the show has been focusing on Shraddha’s (Kirtida Mistry) forced marriage with Sher (Gaurav S Bajaj) and how Sher’s mother (Bhanvri Devi) has been trying to throw her daughter-in-law out of the house.

A source shared, “Even after repeated attempts of Bhanvri Devi (Narayani Shastri) to throw Shraddha out of her house, all her efforts have failed miserably. Now completely irked with Shraddha, she will take a step further. After Shraddha’s grandmother’s demise, her father will visit their place, but Bhanvri Devi and Munna Mama (Afzal Khan) will insult him and throw him out of their house and will not let Shraddha visit her maiden home with her father.”

While on the other hand, Sher will soon get to know about the truth that Shraddha had some secret relationship with Virat (Sahil Phull) in the past and this will make Sher angry and will further complicate their conjugal life. And as soon Bhanvri will get to know about this truth, she will try to create more rifts between Shraddha and Sher.

This will be interesting for the viewers to know how will Shraddha handle a furious Sher and will keep the situation under control.

When we contacted actress Kirtida Mistry for a comment, she mentioned, “There will be many twists in the upcoming episodes, but I would love the audience to watch it.”

Zee TV' s Maharakshak Devi

Maharakshak Devi, the second series in the trilogy on super humans on Zee TV will soon end. 

The series was always supposed to be a finite start to end subject, and will see its last on 7 June. The first of the trilogy, Maharakshak Aaryan with Aakarshan Singh as lead was also aired as a 26 episodes finite series.

Maharakshak Devi has Umang Jain in the title role of Devi. Rohit Bakshi and Indraneil Sengupta play predominant roles.

When contacted, an actor on terms of anonymity did confirm that the story will end soon as it has a fixed duration.

Zee TV will soon plan the third story of the trilogy. However, Esselvision Productions which produced Aaryan and Devi will not be producing the third part.

Vijay G Badllani in Zee TV' s Maharakshak Devi

Vijay G Badllani will be seen in an important cameo in Zee TV's Maharakshak Devi (Esselvision Productions) in a complete negative role.

He will play the role of a snake man by name Aloakk, who would hijack a plane.
Interestingly, the scenes have been shot with many real snakes, and the episode will be full of VFX effects.

As per a reliable source, "Vijay's character will hijack a plane with an ulterior motive in mind. It will be upto Devi to corner and nab the man."

When contacted, Vijay confirmed the news.

His entry will be seen in the telecast on 3 May.
